[There's a curt 'whoa', a thud, and then a grumbling. It's the voice of a young man, who very shortly appears over the feed, blinking at the camera. He doesn't seem to notice it's recording at first, as he turns the device over in his hands a few times, muttering about 'the others' and 'yellow eyes.' Finally, he catches sight of the the light that signals he's on view, and his expression is suddenly surprise!]

Uh-- hey? Not sure what's... going on with this phone...

[There's a brief interlude, during which he examines the thing again.]

... Yeah. Well, gonna keep it simple. I'm not sure where I am. Honestly? I'm probably just dreaming. That's more likely than any alternative. But, if I've been whisked off to some other place? Just... let me know where I am?

[He pauses, and then frowns, brows knitted together in a sort of resolved expression.]

And, if this is your doing, Yellow-Eyes... I'm coming for you.

Hi, uh-- [Yeah, he doesn't know you.]

... Have we met?

I've met you, but you don't remember. [Clearly.]

[Oh. Awkward.]

... Sorry about that. Nice to meet you... again.

Did anyone tell you about this place?

Yeah, my brother. I'm still kind of... figuring things out.

It takes a little while to get used to it.

[A beat.]

Who's Yellow-Eyes?

[Sam tenses up, simply at the words.]

He's... someone from back home. Where I come from.

An enemy?

... Yeah. An enemy.

I don't know for sure, but I doubt that person is here.

Could be. You never know.

[And Sam wouldn't put it past the guy.]

It would be easier to know if I knew who it was.

Right. Well, uh--

[He shrugs, sort of as if to say that he's not willing to tlak about it.]

Guess we'll see.

[Souji nods. He won't press the issue. They just met, technically, and he can respect a dude's privacy.]

Welcome to Wonderland, Sam.

[At that, Sam cracks a little grin.]

Heh. Thanks.

[Y'know. Give him a call. Not wanting to be too pushy.]

Sure thing. [He nods.]
