Hello friends! I'm here to interrupt your regularly scheduled event with a very important announcement.

So, as you might have noticed, the event queue is currently...long. Very long. In fact, this is actually the longest it's been in Eway's history! It's due to a lot of things that are really good for the game, like people staying longer with their characters and coming up with more things they want to do. There have actually been points where we had so few events that we had to actually make posts begging for submissions, so we don't consider this enthusiasm a bad thing by any means.

However, we have to recognize that these changes mean that Eway's outgrown its current event submission system, so a few changes need to be made. Phase one of those changes is something we've never had to do in the game's history, and something we were hesitant about for a long time, but we've decided it's the best course of action so we can rehaul things - As of September 2nd, the Event Queue will be CLOSED TO NEW SUBMISSIONS.

More details and such behind the cut. )

TL;DR – We're closing the event queue in a week, so get your last minute submissions in before September 2nd! We'll also take any questions or concerns either here at this post or PMed to [community profile] entranceway or [plurk.com profile] entranceway.

And seriously, thank you guys for sticking around, for understanding, and for your patience waiting for your events. We appreciate it a lot. ♥

Hello everyone!

This is your nefarious neighbourhood mod with a reminder about PERMISSION POSTS. Our Taken Characters List features the ability to link your permission posts, which are handy for things such as

► listing you and/or your character's comfort zones with things such as violence/death, romantic/sexual themes, or 4th wall knowledge, to name just a few common examples

► explaining a character's special powers and help players hash out how those would (or wouldn't) influence their characters, or provide opt-outs for those powers as necessary

► warn for darker themes likely to be encountered when threading with your character, and offer opt-outs accordingly

We'd like to encourage everyone to take a moment and think about whether you might like or need to add a permission post of your own, or modify your current one if needed. We especially encourage everyone to go over your fellow players' permission posts and submit your personal opt-out comments as needed, or fill in necessary information pertaining to any special powers your characters might encounter.

We also want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that [community profile] entranceway is a game for all ages, and that mature themes are not inherent to the setting. As such it is important to label such themes accordingly in both transmissions and logs, so that any player can decide for themselves whether this is content they wish to engage with. If dark or mature themes are inherent to your character, then please provide opt-outs accordingly, so that players have the opportunity to moderate that sort of content for their characters and/or themselves.

AND THAT IS ALL, thank you for reading, have a magnificent evening!

Hi everyone! Kristen-mod here. We've revamped the Taken Characters page, something we've been meaning to do for awhile.

Everyone please go and check your character(s)'s info and your own contact info for errors. Is anything wrong? Does something need to be added? Removed?

If you see anything out of place, please leave a comment on the Taken Characters page and the changes will be made promptly.

Thank you everyone!

Hello [community profile] entranceway!

We've had a number of incidents with this lately, and I do mean a number, so it's time to refresh this rule for you: Please write new samples for your application. We know, finding good moments to put into a stand-alone sample can be tricky sometimes, but it's important to us that you do, so please

- DON'T reuse samples from an old application, be it from this game or another
- DON'T reuse writing from other sources such as other games, memes, museboxes,...
- DON'T reuse your threads from the [community profile] entranceway test drive meme either

In short, PLEASE WRITE TWO BRAND NEW SAMPLES WHEN APPLYING OR RE-APPLYING A CHARACTER TO ENTRANCEWAY.

That is all, thank you for your attention, and have a beautiful day!

Hello community!

I have two announcements for you today, so take a second to read through them.

REAPPLICATIONS

REMINDER! If you resubmit an application to [community profile] entranceway for whatever reason (rejection of first application, failed activity check,...) then YOUR APPLICATION NEEDS TO CONTAIN YOUR ORIGINAL WRITING SAMPLES.

It's very important to us that we can view your old and new samples side by side, so please don't submit a new set of samples in place of the old ones. Instead, submit the new samples in a paragraph below, in an extra comment, in a new entry, or in whatever way you prefer - we aren't picky about the format, as long as we have some way to view both your old and new first and third person samples.

Failure to do so when first applying will result in your application being rejected again. Failure to do so when reapplying at a later point (failed AC, etc...) will now result in us demanding an additional pair of samples, so we can be sure that we're looking at at least one new set.

TAGS

We've done it again, [community profile] entrancelogs has hit its 1000 tags limit! We've currently given the community a paid account, so you can keep creating new tags, HOWEVER! To combat this tag problem in the future, we will now merge tags for real and mirror characters.

The tag for both the Real and Mirror version of your character is now CANON NAME: CHARACTER NAME, just as it has been for Reals all along.

Kristen will be so wonderful as to take care of the merging, so you don't need to lift a finger to make it happen - just make sure you tag your posts and threads accordingly in the future.

And that's it! Those are your announcements and reminders, thank you for listening, and have a wonderful day!

Hi friends!

I've got a quick request as I update the Rooming List. I want to include the names of any characters who work at/maintain a character-created location in the Mansion on the Rooming List so that people will know who to expect to find in those places on a regular basis. Some of the more prominent locations include the clinic, diner, movie theater, and training center, but I'm looking for this info for any and all of the locations. A few locations indicate the owner (e.g. Darcy's coffee shop), but not anyone else who might work there (e.g. Ned didn't create the diner, but he works there regularly).

I'd like to ask anyone whose character works at/maintains one of these locations to comment to this post or to the list itself with that information. This is also a good time to provide the location of any character-created area(s) that aren't on the list already.

Thank you everyone!

Well Eway, we've done it! We hit 1000 tags in the main community! WOO GOOD JOB EVERYONE YOU BROKE OUR TAGS SO WE CAN'T ADD ANYMORE. THANKS GUYS.

fff I'm kidding. But unfortunately, that means we had to do a little bit of reorganization so all of our new players can have tags too! We're a really old game with years of history behind it, so we didn't feel right about deleting the older tags. Instead, we've decided to restructure our tagging system so that we will have space for twice as many tags!

This does mean a change in how you tag your posts, but we hope that it will ultimately be easier than the system we were using before. Here's the new one, broken down by community:

[community profile] entranceway
  • Real Characters will tag all posts and replies as canon name: character name.

  • Mirror Characters will tag all posts and replies as mirror: character name.

[community profile] entrancelogs
  • Real Characters will tag all posts and replies as canon name: character name.

  • Mirror Characters will tag all posts and replies as mirror: character name.

[community profile] mirroruniverse
  • Real Characters will tag all posts and replies as real: character name.

  • Mirror Characters will tag all posts and replies as mirror: character name.

Basically, we're getting rid of the reply: name tag entirely, and then making the tags uniform across all the communities so that it all matches. The only exception is the mirror community, which is staying exactly as it is (since it's intuitive enough and there was never a reply: name tag there anyway).

We hope that this will improve things, make tags easier to deal with, and free up some room for our newer characters to have tags! This is all effective immediately. Kristen is cleaning them all up as we speak (so no, you don't have to go re-tag all your old things), so it should be 100% rolled over into the new tag system soon because Kristen is a wizard like that. Thank you very much for understanding!

It has come to our attention that there have been incidences of bullying incoming reserves, both on plurk and anonymously on the reserves page. This is not acceptable behavior, and we expect better from our player base.

In regards to the first incident, which some of you have seen crop up on wankgate, that player has been spoken to privately about their behavior and it will not be addressed again here. However, as the second incident happened anonymously and we have no way to prove who did it, something needs to be said to the community at large.

We will not tolerate the bullying of incoming reserves. [community profile] entranceway has always prided itself on being a welcoming, friendly environment for new players. New reserves should not be made to feel in any way that they are unwelcome in our game. Everyone deserves a fair chance to apply for the character they want, and it is completely unacceptable to chase someone out of the game, whether it's because you voiced disapproval in a public (or semi-public in plurk's case) space or because you directly attacked them for reserving or applying, or any other behavior that would make someone feel unwelcome to app.

If there is a legitimate problem or concern with an incoming reserve or application, then please approach the mods privately about the matter. There is absolutely no need to taunt the person reserving publicly on the reserves page, and I'm embarrassed that someone felt the need to do so. We have no way of knowing who sent this message, but if they really thought that we were going to see that as reasonable behavior, they were sorely mistaken. Again, if you have a problem with a reserve or application please speak to the mods privately and we will make judgement calls from there.

This post is not directed at any player in particular, but as a notice to the entire community. If such behavior continues on the reserves page, we will either disable anonymous comments or screen the entire page, and if we find out that anyone has been making reserves feel unwelcome in any way, we will be speaking to the bullying player directly. No one is being forced to play with anyone, but everyone has just as much of a right to app as you did. Everyone.

Hulloh, everyone!

We interrupt your daily Wonderland schedule for a reminder to PLEASE TAG YOUR ENTRIES AND COMMENTS! All community members are authorised to add and create tags themselves, and each player is responsible for their own tags. Please remember to tag your posts and replies, as it will greatly help us keep things organised!

You can always find a simple overview of the tagging schemes we use on our Rules Page, which will now also link to the full style guide here, under the cut! )

That is all, thank you for your attention, continue your regular Wonderland business, and have a great day!

Hey guys! As you might have seen, the Cheshire Cat made a post tonight. However, because the player who submitted this event came to us and requested it, we will be pushing this event back one week. This event will occur next weekend (the weekend of the 30th), and the official event announcement will be made next week, approximately 48 hours beforehand (like usual). We repeat, the event is not this weekend, but next weekend.

As for the NPC post, we will be leaving that where it is, and nothing about that will be changed - in other words, the gap between NPC announcement and event is going to be just as long in game, and your characters are free to wonder why an NPC appeared with a cryptic announcement and no event the weekend after.

We apologize for the delay and any confusion or inconvenience this causes, and we hope you enjoy your weekend anyway. ♥

Good morning, Wonderland!

We've seen a few recurring questions and issues lately, so we have added two new items to our Frequently Asked Questions, and an additional section to our Rules, in order to make the points in question more accessible in the future.

TAGS
The rules page now features information on which tags to use in each community. Each member can create and add tags to entries, and each member is responsible for tagging the posts and replies of their character(s). [x]

MEMORIES
We've added a paragraph on retaining memories of Wonderland to our FAQ page. Generally characters may keep their memories of Wonderland for up to 30 days, after being dropped or purged. If they return any later than that they won't be able to remember their stay. [x]

APP SAMPLES
A final new paragraph on the FAQ page goes into a little more detail on what we require from applications that have been rejected, or asked to provide a revision. Please especially note that in case of a rejection your re-application must consist of both the necessary changes to the application, and two new writing samples. [x]
! In order to better keep an eye on this requirement in the future, we now ask that you to provide a link to both your old and new writing samples when posting your revisions or re-application.

There will also be a comment for further questions in this entry, just in case.

Thank you for reading, and have a splendid Sunday!

Hulloh community!

I bring you a quick announcement to let you know that we've made a minor change to our application. To make things more uniform our third-person sample now specifically calls for a "minimum of three paragraphs, introspective piece, written in prose". So if you are currently writing on an application, make sure to take this change into account, in case it applies to your sample.

That is all, thank you for your attention, have a splendid day!

Hi, Eway! I have a couple of quick reminders for the community.

1. Remember to use your character tags when you reply to IC posts! This makes it a lot easier for players to keep track of their activity, for prospective players to see if they want to join our casts, and for the mods if we need to check on something.

2. Please do not carry on long conversation threads on the Reserves page. That's what PMs, private journals, Plurk, and AIM are for. The mods have absolutely no problems with "yay yes please app here omg :D" replies to new reserves, but please keep things brief.

Now we'll return to your regularly scheduled Oncingham-ler event.

Okay, so I'm a few days late, but here are the results of the poll. Since there were so many awesome events to choose from, I've decided to increase the number of winners from five to eight. Eight whole events!

Full details for each event are under the cut, for reference, but here is the brief list. Hopefully everyone got at least one of the events they voted for on the list, but if not, I think you're going to enjoy what's going to happen anyway.

Not that I'm telling what that is just yet. :> ♥♥♥

Hulloh [community profile] entranceway!

So Kristen just announced the results of the activity check, and I'm going to tell you about the final tweaks we made to our new rules. We've had a look at how the rules worked out in practice, and combined it with some of the feedback we received, and hopefully made some further improvements and adjustments.

You can find the complete and updated version of our ACTIVITY CHECK RULES HERE, which is where they'll always be for you to read, along with all relevant dates of the next activity check period. Take a moment to read through the page, it should give you all the information you need!

To break down the changes for you... )

We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have in this post, but please note that this version of the activity check is now final, and that there will be no further changes to the rules in the foreseeable future. Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day!

Hey guys! I've got a couple of quick announcements for all of you. ♥

First of all, if you haven't seen it yet, our activity check has changed. We announced it about a week ago, but we're posting this reminder because you will need activity for both months to pass from now on, and we don't want to catch anyone by surprise. Tell your friends! Tell your friends' friends! Tell your neighbors and grandparents if you want! Just make sure everyone knows! If you have concerns or questions about the change, please direct them over to the original announcement, or speak to our activity check mod, Kristen.

After this week's app round (on October 20th), we will be closing applications until November 3rd. "But Koji, you guys never close apps!" you might be saying - I know, I know. But we have good reason! We're closing applications to prepare for HALLOEWAY HALLOWEWAYWEEN EWAYWEEN EWA...HA...E'EN? OUR HALLOWEEN EVENT. So, if anyone is planning on apping soon, get those apps in by Sunday! But, there's no pressure either. You can still submit applications after we close them - they just won't be processed until November 3rd.

Finally, keep an eye out! On Monday (October 21st) we're going to announce the first part of our Halloween event (which will begin in-game on the 23rd)! We're extremely excited about this one, you guys - it's killing me not to just blurt it out right now, but just know that it is coming - the wait is almost over!!! IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR SPOOKY TIMES YOU GUYS. I'm also going to sneak in a quick reminder that this closet cosplay meme is going up on the 30th, because it sounds awesome and fun. There's going to be all kinds of stuff going on! ♥

Anyway, that's about it from me. Get your apps in, remember that both months count for AC now, and GET REALLY EXCITED FOR HALLOWEEN.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to make a quick announcement that a new field has been added to the event submission form (found on the event submission page).

This field is "length" and asks you how long you think your event is sustainable for, or how long you think it should take to unfold completely. The minimum is generally three days, but if you are okay with your event being combined, you can still submit something that might not be sustainable for three days on its own. If you want specific things about your event to happen on specific days, you can outline that in "suggested event" portion of the form.

If you intend to submit an event soon, please use the new form so that you don't miss this field. If you have already submitted an event and it is in the queue, you can edit your comment to include the length field if you want to, but this is not required. If you don't include a length suggestion, the mods will use our best judgment for your event.

One other announcement before I go! Remember to properly tag entries in each community that your character responds to. Each of our communities is set up so that all members are able to create and edit tags, so there's no need to wait for a mod to create a tag for you.

If you have any questions or concerns, let us know!

Hello, everyone! The mod team has finalized some changes to the activity check rules and requirements, based on observations of the check that just ended as well as comments we got after we revamped the AC in August.

The complete rules can be found at the Activity Check post. A few tweaks to language have been made throughout the rules to make things clearer. Below I've outlined the major changes, but we do encourage you to visit the AC post itself to review all of the changes.

AC rule changes ) We think this will be a better fit for the game, but we'd like to hear your comments, concerns and questions about these changes. I'll make a Q&A thread, so don't hesitate to comment on this post with your thoughts.

Hello [community profile] entranceway!

Thank you for your feedback and participation in our most recent activity check discussion. We've looked at your suggestions, and can currently offer you the following updates:
Hiatus activity: You are responsible for your activity if you have been around for at least 10 days since the start of the valid activity period. This has been increased from the original 7 days.

[community profile] entrancelogs activity: The thread requirement has been expanded and lowered to ask for 10-15 comments by your character, as opposed to the original plain 15.

Mirror activity & activity on IC inboxes, museboxes, etc.: There will currently be no change to our policy regarding Mirror activity and activity obtained anywhere other than our [community profile] entranceway communities. It is important to us to measure your availability with the character(s) you applied, and to do so in a way that does not create a disadvantage for players not interested in making use of the game's optional features. You can find our more detailed explanations here and here.
Lastly there are some points of discussion which are still ongoing, mainly regarding the length requirements for threads and the frequency and length of the activity check & period. To make our decision on these matters we would first like to have a look at our current requirements in practice, and see how they work out for us and the community during the next activity check, so that our final reassessment can be as accurate as possible.

That next activity check will take place between the 1st and 7th of October, the corresponding activity period runs from the 1st to 30th of September. As always you can view the entirety of our current policy here.

That's all for the time being, thank you very much for your comments and have a great day!

Hello [community profile] entranceway!

It has come to our attention that there have been quite a number of questions and concerns about the changes to the activity policy page, so we thought it best to open the subject for discussion as soon as possible!

♦ To begin with we would like to clarify why these recent changes have been put into place:
  1. Given how the activity check has evolved we have previously employed an activity check period of three weeks. An additional week has been added to this.

  2. Some frequently asked questions (e.g. Mirrors and the Mirror side in regards to the AC) have been added or rephrased on the page.

  3. The option to submit "at least 2-3 threads in other peoples' posts, that cumulatively contain at least 30 comments from your character" has been changed to "2-3 threads, each with 10-15 comments by your character" to reflect its original intention. We always meant for this option to function as proof that your character is available for longer and consistent tagging, however the previous wording did not convey this sufficient.

While we are/were definitely not dead set on these particular numbers we have recently had issues with AC submissions containing several threads that only featured one or two comments by a player's character and that struck us as too far from the intentions of the original requirements.

(There has been some confusion regarding the question whether the requirements have changed significantly or not, and we believe that this is due to some players always having read the activity check requirements with these longer threads in mind, while others have focused on the final count of thirty comments, regardless of thread length.)

♦ From our point of view this most recent update has been a change in wording to clarify an existing policy, rather than a change to the policy itself, however we do absolutely understand that this is not the impression that has been conveyed to everyone, nor will everyone be able to treat it as such in practice, and with that in mind we would like to frame the discussion as follows:

The recent change to the activity check is the first draft we propose. Please use this opportunity to let us know about any areas you consider problematic, or ask any questions you may have about the requirements.

♦ Note that, while it is simply not feasible to create an AC that satisfies the requirements of every single player, we will definitely be doing our best to make the activity check as transparent as we can and, if necessary, tailor it further to suit as many of our players as possible.

To all the people who have already left a comment on the suggestions or inquiries page: We would greatly appreciate it if you could repost your feedback to this entry, so that we might have everybody's opinions in one place. Thank you very much!

That said, do let us hear your thoughts and have a great day!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! ♥

With the recent Mirror event, a number of people added Mirror characters to their repertoire and joined [community profile] mirroruniverse with those accounts. Sign ups are officially closed. We will have the list of chosen characters up soon.

Kristen-mod here! It's about time for another Mansion plot, don't you think? We're not going to give away too much information just yet, but for this one we're going to need some volunteers for a game that the Queen of Hearts will be challenging the Red Queen to. Thirty-two volunteers to be exact! We need sixteen Real things and sixteen Mirror characters.

Each player can sign up one Mirror and one Real thing by commenting to this post. Sixteen of each will be randomly selected using a random name drawing program.

There may be violence (but no Mansion deaths) involved in this event for the characters selected, so you may want to consider the combat capabilities of the character(s) you volunteer. This doesn't mean that you can't volunteer characters who aren't fighters or who don't have powers. It's just something to keep in mind.

Don't worry if your character isn't selected. There will be plenty of things going on for you to join in on with both your Real and Mirror characters and your characters' relationships to those who are selected will mean that everyone has a stake in what is going to happen. ♥

Sign-ups close at midnight EST on Wednesday, July 10 so that we can get everything ready in time to announce the event. I will post a Q&A thread, but I won't be giving specifics about the upcoming event.

Note: What you are volunteering for will take place this coming weekend (Friday, July 12 - Monday, July 15), so if you sign up, you need to be available online to tag for the majority of that time.</s.

Hello! We’re here today to reveal the results of our mod applications. Two things first though – one is that we want to thank everyone who applied for modship. It was a difficult decision, and we appreciate everyone who stepped up and volunteered to help us. We’re sorry we couldn’t pick all of you, but it means the world to us that you applied. Thank you. ♥

The second is that we thought that instead of just introducing our new mod that we should introduce, well, all the mods! With all the new players lately, we feel like it might be hard to keep track of who is who and which mod does what in the game. So, we wanted to step forward and introduce ourselves!

We're all under this cut CLICK HERE AND FREE US )

Finally, while we’re at it, we’ve updated several pages, so please have a look!

The Setting page has been updated. The information about the Mirror side is especially important.
The game's F.A.Q. has been streamlined and updated. It is easier to navigate now and not so overwhelming.
The event submissions page has been updated. Some rules were clarified and there is now a count of how many events are in queue. For specific queue-related information, players should ask a mod.
The drop post will now feature a list of the ten most recently dropped characters.
[community profile] mirroruniverse's profile page has been updated with all kinds of information about Mirrors and the Mirror side.

The Resident's page and Storyline page will also be updated in the near future, so stay tuned for that!

Thanks for reading! We look forward to modding (and continuing to mod) Entranceway for you all! Also, have fun with this weekend's event!

Hi everyone! Koji and I have noticed that a number of people have posted their Plurk accounts in [community profile] entranceooc so that everyone can add them. Since Plurk is becoming even more popular as a method of communication, we've added a field for it to the Taken Characters page for that account name.

This field has been added to everyone's information already; if your Plurk account name was already there, it's been put in the appropriate field. If you never commented to the post with your Plurk info, the field will say "n/a".

If you'd like your Plurk info to be displayed with the rest of your contact information and you haven't already supplied it there, please go to the Taken Characters page with that account name. If you don't want just anyone to have that info, but would like people to know you have a Plurk, we can put "on request". Just let us know! And of course, if you aren't on Plurk, no problem! Your IM and email information has all remained the same.

Let us know if you have any questions about this change!

Hi guys!

We just wanted to let you know that we have made a small change to the application for the game, in the history section. As the note there says, the change did not affect any of our decisions for this round's apps, or any apps we've processed before this week, but we needed to make a small clarification because we've been having an increasing amount of issues with it as the game grows.

Please take a second to look it over, especially if you're currently writing an application, and pass along word to any friends who are working on applications. We will start counting this change towards application decisions next week.

Thank you very much, and sorry for any inconvenience this causes!

EDIT: ALSO while we're changing forms and things, we've added a Permissions line to the Taken Characters form. It's not mandatory by any means, but if you want your character's ooc permissions post linked on the Taken Characters page, please go comment with a link so it can be added to your form! ♥

Hey guys! What's up? I've got two non-event related things to tell you about!

The first comes from Kristen, and it's an AC reminder! The next AC will run from 4/1 - 4/7, and anything posted between 3/11 - 3/31 is eligible for passing AC. If you're not sure how AC works or need a reminder, here are the rules, kids.

The second is that I finally finished my big project (with Kristen's help - she's so wonderful) and the shiny new Storyline page! It has a summary of every major mod event* since the event started and now, and it's going to be updated as plot events happens. It's something we've been wanting to do for a while, and it's good to finally have it done!

So please, if you're interested in the plot of Entranceway at all, go take a peek at the Storyline page! If you have any questions about anything or want anything clarified, just ask it here and I'll do my best to answer everything. ♥

*You might notice the amount of Ewaymases doesn't add up - that's because I only included the ones that had plot-relevant things in them. : )

Here is the planning post for this weekend's event!

EDIT: Here is a random Land generator for those who might be having a hard time coming up with ideas for their character's Land. :3

In addition, I have a couple reminders:

1) We have an Activity Check starting on December 1. Here are the rules, for anyone who is new or needs a refresher. The acceptable activity period started on Saturday, November 10 and will run through Friday, November 30.
2) Don't forget about Secret Santa! You can still sign up for it up until December 1.

Hey guys! Koji here. SO, we heard some of you guys on the East Coast of the United States are getting hit by a hurricane (myself included)! This is super rude of Mother Nature. I mean, we have this AWESOME Halloween event, and the AC coming up (which is probably not so awesome, but necessary), and people might be evacuated and/or lose power? That's terrible!

So, we've given it some thought, and talked it over, and decided two things:

1) We are NOT extending the event but we ARE allowing lots of back tags AND back posts. The event's set to end on Halloween because, well, it's a Halloween event. But in addition to the usual back-tagging, you're welcome to make posts after the event officially ends. Just make sure you mark your post clearly as back-dated so that people who want to play post-event things like checking out those awesome doors some more can do so without having to wait. Also, don't drag it out too long, guys. This is primarily because some people are expecting lengthy power outages, so I'd say back posting more than a week after the event ends is probably pushing it. (Back tags are welcome to go on forever though, as usual).

2) ACTIVITY CHECK IS BEING MOVED TO 12/1. You're welcome. :) We talked it out, and it's probably better that way, because no one will have to scramble because of the hurricane OR because of the holiday season (if we'd stayed on schedule, the next one would have been on 1/1). So don't worry about scrambling to be ready for AC, just go duck for cover and get your rafts ready for the flooding. ;D

Finally, this isn't really an announcement or anything and it's a little late at this point, but this is a neat hurricane prep resource I found on tumblr that I thought I'd share with you guys. To everyone in the path of Hurricane Sandy, I hope you all stay safe and dry and that your power either doesn't go out or comes back soon. And to everyone who's not about to get hit by a hurricane, try not to have too much fun without us, okay? ;D

I hope everyone enjoyed the last event! We've got a super cool mod event coming up later this month, but for now I'm here to remind everyone that the activity check will start on July 1.

We've got several new people, so I want to provide a reminder that any character accepted in the three weeks prior to the activity check is exempt from the check. That means any character accepted as of 6/10/12 or later.

If anyone needs a refresher on the activity check rules, visit this post for the guidelines. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you have them!
