So! Because it is almost Christmas time, I was wondering if anyone other than Monsters celebrates this special holiday. It is a time when Monsters exchange gifts with friends and family, and decorate trees, such as the Christmas Tree which I have behind me.

How often should I expect to not be myself?

( Yes, hello. Helena's hoping that she's doing this right -- it's the first time that she's sent a message to the network at large )

I know that we frequently expect events, but not every one would turn me into a creature or... something else.

( She also doesn't know what most of those things from the last event were. Where's Pete or Claudia when you need them? They'd have had some ideas, she expects )

For as unpredictable as all of this is surely there's a proportion, or some pattern -- how frequently you've become something else compared to how often you've remained yourself. I don't believe in that many coincidences.

[He’s doing his best to put a good face on this, he really is. Given his most recent inter-dimensional experiences, this is something of an improvement-- although all things considered, there’s nowhere he’d rather be right now than Earth, preferably with his team, although he supposes that last part is on him. He’d chosen to walk away, at least for a little while. Thanks to that decision, the first night here had been a little more difficult than it might have otherwise, but he's managing.

Greetings, Wonderland and a good day to you. After the recent event with the space station, I found myself still in possession of a rather delightful creatures called a pyjack. I can't help but be curious if I'm the only one that found myself housing a space creatures.

Actually I'm curious about any creatures any might be caring for here in Wonderland. It is rather my area of expertise and I'm curious if any would be willing to let me observe and study their pets and creatures that I might continue my work here. Thank any and all for even considering this.

Which leads me to my second point today. In studying my pyjack, I've learned that they, or at least this one, seems to have a desire for obtaining bits and pieces of technology. I've no idea what most of them go to not having a knowledge of what most consider modern and advanced technology. It's spring here and spring at home. School would be starting again, if he were there and time progressed.

[There is such a thing in the sciences, in mathematics, called the relation between constants and variables.

Variables are unknown elements, that which has not yet come to pass, changing incessantly to best suit an equation. Constants are fixed, their values do not shift for better or worse. Every experiment must have a constant with which to compare for consistency, the baseline, the mainstay.

For some time she has felt less like a person and more like a fixture, another unaltered set dressing against an unaltered backdrop. Wonderland's worst feature are its events.

That's a pretty common thought, right? Only this place doesn't usually come up with events on its own. They're all just baggage it dredges up from our own worlds. When you look at it that way you could probably even make a case for Wonderland itself being pretty decent.

[It was a bit of a challenge to find where the Music Room was sometimes. But now here he was. He needed to start practicing here more often (when events weren't in the way), make a routine of sorts instead of just practicing in his room. Plus he wanted to be here, especially after the last event.

The camera of the comm device showed Minato opening his violin case, removing the violin that was a bit worn but well-loved along with its bow. Soon, the sound of this tune streamed over the network.

Thank you.

Action

[After exhausting himself looking through the library he's managed to find the bar and order himself a drink to try to take to relax himself. Bruce doesn't remember the last time he felt this on edge -- which is saying something for him because he is always on edge in one way or another. This place seems mostly peaceful so far but it has to be some sort of deception. He was taken from his home, after all. And Gotham may not be the best of places but it is home and he'd like to get back to it. But he knows it won't be that easy, no one would bring that many people here without some sort of ulterior motives in play. They want something from all of them, the only question is what.

He throws back his first drink in one go. He can't imagine the catch is anything good but he has a feeling he'll know sooner or later. After all, there's always a catch. Some might call him cynical for jumping to conclusions like this so quickly but he likes to think he's being realistic. While Clark's death may have restored some well needed optimism to Bruce that doesn't mean he's blind to how cruel and ugly the world can be. What that means for him here, however, remains to be seen.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm making a turkey tomorrow. It's a Thanksgiving thing. Which maybe not everyone has where they come from. The history is pretty horrible anyway.

What really matters is cooking good food and thinking about the things you're happy to have. Even the annoying ones. Like this year, I'm just glad there's a kitchen for cooking turkey in. That's pretty much the only thing I can think of, because I got kidnapped last month and already almost died. This place is awful, and I hate it, and a lot of you probably hate it.

And that's okay.

I'm just gonna be thankful that something awful isn't happening at this exact moment. And if anybody wants to have a normal-ish Thanksgiving dinner or just wants to eat food, I'll have food. So. Thanks, I guess.
