[ She knew as soon as the cryptic message went up what this was going to be. And it's really something to finally be up, after two and a half years, to know this one's yours and it won't be anything good. Michonne's stockpiled more than usual - cases of bottled water, a shit ton of non-perishable food, and guns, ammo. She doesn't know what to expect; maybe it'll all disappear overnight, but she has to try.

When she wakes up back home, back in Alexandria, at first she thinks she's back. But she remembers Wonderland, sits up straight in bed and realizes a few things. Rick's not beside her, her stockpile from yesterday is still there, and her device is on the nightstand. Dressing quickly, she gets up, walks through the familiar house and out onto the porch.

She is home. There's no Daryl in the house next door, her people aren't here, but she's back and she isn't sure how to feel. She isn't even sure what fucked up thing might happen. She has to do her best to warn everyone, toe the line between scaring the shit out of people and making sure they understand. Sitting at her kitchen table (and that's a weird thing, too. This isn't anyone's but hers. This is all...hers. Her house, her couch, her mantle where she hung her katana thinking in a bout of optimism that it could stay there) she turns on her device, her face a little harder than usual which is, in all honesty, saying something. ]

If you don't know me, my name's Michonne. This is my world. Looks nice. Quaint. But it's not. Most people in Wonderland call it a zombie apocalypse. We didn't know what it was.

[ She really can't help having this moment out loud. ]

It was never entertainment for movies and tv in my world. It's real. Most of you already know what to do: shot to the head is the only thing that kills them. It's not good enough to just cut off the head. It can still bite. You get bit, you die and turn. Come back as one of them. Don't worry about being able to tell the difference between someone alive and someone dead. You can see it. Smell it.

[ And uh, one other thing: ]

If you get bit on a part that can be cut off, arm, leg. Do it. Cut it off as soon as you can. If you don't bleed to death, you won't turn.

[ But everyone knows this is temporary, so maybe people would just rather die than go through an amputation. Maybe they'd die and turn because eventually, this will end. They don't have to keep living it every single day. ]

I don't know if walkers will even be the issue. It could be anything I've gone through, right? There's enough fucked up shit that's happened, the biggest threat might not even be the dead. Just trust me. Get a weapon. Stay close because there's safety in numbers. I'm at the very end of the neighborhood with cases of water and food if you don't have any, but look in your pantries and see if there are rations, first. If you know how to use a gun, I've got those too.

Just know that noise draws them in. Gunfire is dangerous, might as well sound off a dinner bell for walkers. That's why I've had and always will have a katana. If you smell like them, they won't bother you. Smear their guts on you, smell dead, walk slow, you can get through a hoard.

[ She should stop, she can't tell everyone everything, it's too much. ]

You know how to reach me, if you need me.

Alright, so I’ve done all the reading, looked through the brochure. Really handy, by the way, more inter-dimensional kidnappings could use something like that. Nice to show up and have tourist info provided right off the bat.

[He’s doing his best to put a good face on this, he really is. Given his most recent inter-dimensional experiences, this is something of an improvement-- although all things considered, there’s nowhere he’d rather be right now than Earth, preferably with his team, although he supposes that last part is on him. He’d chosen to walk away, at least for a little while. Thanks to that decision, the first night here had been a little more difficult than it might have otherwise, but he's managing.

He’ll give Wonderland some credit. It beats solitary confinement in a parasite’s prison.]

That said, I’m not sure how I feel about a world without Wikipedia. How do you settle all the random debates that come up over breakfast without Wikipedia?

Three years. Three years is a really long time to be stuck in one place isn't it? I've been here for three years already.

I guess that makes me one of the veterans here huh?

I mean I know there are people here who've been longer, but. Well. Not many of us make it this far.

[ he's not really sure where he's going with this. He does have a point, he just isn't sure how he wants to ask what he wants to ask. He's rolling a ring around between his fingers as he talks, the camera may dip to catch him fidgeting with it. Those questions he knows no one but his mirror can answer and well, that's not happening. So he'll stick with things that other people can answer. ]

Has anyone else never gone home? I mean. Like when some people disappear for a week and come back after time has passed gone home, not for good.

It's been three years and I've never gotten to leave and come back. So anyone else whose been here close to this long or longer, have any of you never gone home?

[ He's almost afraid to think of what it means. He knows Jo had never left and that was because she had nothing to go back to. And well, everyone from home whose been here is either before him or Loki who had no idea what he was up to. Did it also mean he had no future to go back to?]

If anyone wants to come help me celebrate three years I'll be at the bar. [ By which he means the old bar, because he's got issues. ]

Huh. I've gotta say, this is probably the gentlest kidnapping I've ever experienced. And there's even a theme, which is a new twist on an old problem. I like captives who think outside the box! I'm not complaining! You know, makes this all a little less tedious, am I right?

Good evening -- I understand the mansion is undergoing a spot of upheaval at the moment, so I'll be brief. Can someone lend me some steady hands and a bit of medical experience? Actually, simple first aid will more than suffice.

It's not an emergency. Rather, I've got some bandages that need changing. Nothing too fussy: abdomen, off-centre, and on a wound that was a clean through-and-through. Unfortunately, those bandages are a challenge to change alone. Believe you me, it's hardly my ideal way to make anyone's acquaintance.

[Elizabeth looks rather apprehensive that the tears have suddenly appeared everywhere, but she can't quite mask her excitement at getting to explain to everyone the one area in which she is most certainly an expert - even if the information she has to offer is something most people have probably figured out for themselves by now.]

These rips in the air that have appeared - they're called tears, and they're something I can create. They're a window through the fabric of reality, and they show other versions of the world. The tears I make here can only lead to other versions of Wonderland, but I've looked through some of the ones that showed up by themselves and they led to versions of Columbia, where I came here from, too.

[She has quite a bit of distaste in her voice as she mentions Columbia.]

My main advice is to be careful. Most of the alternate realities out there are rather benign, with a thousand tiny changes possible - tea instead of coffee, or different coloured wallpaper. But there are also those that have bigger, more important variables at play, and those tears can be very dangerous. You might see people you recognise on the other side of them, but their personalities could be completely different - just keep reminding yourself that it's not really your parent, or partner, or whoever, but just another version of them. A 'what-if', it might be easiest to think of it as.

[It's very unlikely that she'll be able to heed her own advice, as sound as it seems to give it out.]

If you have any questions at all, I'm more than happy to answer them.

Gotta say, out of all the things Wonderland could've drawn from for me, this is probably the best end of the deal. So hey everybody, welcome to the Citadel. Yes, you're in space. No, you don't need a suit unless you wanna go outside, and I wouldn't recommend it.

[She swaps the video feed for a few moments to outside her surroundings, showing a crowded view of the Silversun Strip, and then back to her face.]

The Citadel's the hub of galactic government in my universe. Lots to do, lots to see. You've probably all got omni-tools, but they're pretty basic to learn. In general, try to stay away from any places that look seedy, and if it's illegal where you come from, it's probably illegal here. Otherwise, go wild. If you need directions, the holographic terminals are VI information guides. Ask 'em whatever. Or, y'know, you've got the extranet in the palm of your hands, so you can just search it yourself.

[She looks like she's gonna stop, and then grins a little bit wider.]

Oh, and one more thing...

[She steps away from the wall to show she's standing in front of a display sign. A very particular display sign.]

I re-maxed my high score at the Armax combat arena. I'll buy anyone who can beat me without cheating a free meal. Good luck.

[The video opens on an interesting tableau. For one, the backdrop is that of mossy-green tile, a dimly lit laboratory, complete with some extremely fake potted vegetation. And that’s to say nothing of the figures present in the frame. Standing in the forefront seems to be a lizard with glasses in a lab coat, addressing the network at large. Behind her, a small child appears to be getting devoured alive by a -

Oh, wait. No they’re not. They’re actually grinning widely as they scratch the back of the...creature’s approximation of ears. It’s unclear how many dogs this counts as. Is this even really a dog? They’re definitely frothing at the mouth, making contented little bubbling sounds as Frisk scritches them beneath their chin. There’s a heavy whapping sound of something slapping back and forth across the tile as their tail begins to wag, even if the motion leaves shiny strands of their mass dribbling across the floor.

So, you know. Like any other dog.

Alphys speaks up first.]

H-Hey everyone! So, uhm...there’s an event! Which you, uh, probably already guessed, but, in the interest of, uhm, b-being informed, there’s some...things you should know. About this place and. Everything.

[She pauses, takes a nervous glance back towards the melting beast, and continues. Frisk pauses to toss her a resolute thumbs-up and a firm nod.]

These, uhm, monsters are called the Amalgamates. There’s a couple of them, uh, d-down here, but there’s no need to fight them! They’re, uhm, probably just looking for food. They won’t attack you or anything, so y-you can leave them alone. They’re not dangerous.

[Frisk sits up a little straighter, giving the Endogeny one final, reassuring pat, as they add:]

If any of them come near you, just find some food or something for them to play with. They don't mean to hurt you.

[Their tone is firm and unwavering, as resolute as their expression. Alphys, on the other hand, seems to get more nervous the longer the broadcasts stretches on, so she just cuts right to the point.]

There’s a machine that, uhm, looks like a skull around here, it’s got some wires, and tubes, and stuff? Don’t touch it. It’s, uhm, s-super dangerous, and, doesn’t do anything...good.

[Frisk's shoulders twitch in a faint wince, their gaze dropping back to Endogeny. Nothing good, no.]

So uhm. Leave that alone, t-too.

[Just as it seems like she’s going to continue, Endogeny abruptly surges to their feet with a loud, triumphant howl. The Amalgamate barrels at the camera, sending Alphys careening off screen with a small shriek. The camera goes down with her in a haphazard tumble, but at least the last shot indicates that she is, in fact, not being eaten alive. It turns out Endogeny is simply hungry, and seeing Alphys usually means it's time she fed them.

The feed rattles one last time as Endogeny's tail whips across the screen, and goes dead.]

[There comes a time in a woman’s life when she hopes to not come across bodies as often as she has in the past. A sentiment such as this may constitute as strange and unusual when the woman in question is an archaeologist who encounters bodies with frequency in her work, but those bodies tend to be 1.) dead, 2.) thousands of years old, and 3.) unmistakably mummified. Evelyn’s experiences with finding bodies in Wonderland is that they are only sometimes dead, very young by comparison, and do not resemble the human equivalent of a prune.

Still - it would be kind of this place to afflict her with recent corpses and the indisposed less often, because psychology textbooks from the future claim that stress is a dangerous incapacitator. If Wonderland could manage this sooner rather than later, it would be ideal.
]

Oh, God.

[An early afternoon walk through the orchards, branches covered in a dusting of snow, the same crunching underfoot and she sees a child lying supine next to the base of a tree. Evelyn immediately thinks of the young man she once found in the library, of Steve Rogers sprawled on the beach and bleeding out, of Philip pocked with knife wounds and she stumbles over to cup a cold cheek, falling to her knees at the girl’s side. She’s soaked to the skin.

Ellie.

Panic claws at her insides when she falls back on what little medical expertise a doctor once gave her and she feels for a pulse, sensing nothing and fumbling for her communicator to tap out a network-wide missive. Send out a call for help first, echos a soft voice in her head, unwelcome but not wrong, and begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation - if there was one thing that Hannibal Lecter taught her, it was how to manage first response.

[The world is dark, and it's quiet. Suffocation's an unpleasant way to go, and everyone knows it. The heat and the pressure crawls up into the back of your throat and your eyes feel like they'll burst, your .hea'ds poudning., your breath high and tight and ragged in your lungs that scream for deeper breaths, for air, and that's when everything else begins to pulse in an unfurling of phosphenes and scalding colors across the backs of your eyelids.

You get dizzy. The panic, assuming it hasn't set in by then, claws its way up your esophagus as your jaw parts, throat straining to take in air that doesn't exist with a high-pitched, dragging wheeze.

Unfortunately for Tim, it seems the panic settled in early; cloying and unbearable and tearing away at what little composure he still had. He'd switched on his device at some point, though his oxygen-starved brain can't possibly latch onto what that reasoning might have been, not now. Possibly a cry for help, hastily stifled. Have you seen this video before? It's possible that you have. It's possible that it's gone up already, only for the hitching slide of time to roll things back. Déjà vu. It's a hell of a thing.

When you've begun to suffocate, perception of reality - already muddled to a gross fault and exceptionally poor to begin with, for one unfortunate Mr. Wright - tends to be one of the first things to go.

The subject of the video is pressed somewhere in the corner of the room, practically wedged there, curled around himself with his hands sunk into the fabric of his shirt. Words stream from him in a perpetual rise and fall, a breathless litany, high and sharp with a cresting panic:]

Not coming for me and if it does I'm dying anyway. 'S not coming for me and if it does I'm dying anyway, it's not coming for me and if it does I'm dying anyway it's not coming for me and if it does I'm dying anyway -

[His voice breaks. He buries his face in his hands.

He's seeing something in the corner of his eye that's not there, regressed to the state he always regresses to when that thing creeps into his memory, nothing more than a scared and trembling little boy huddled in a windowless hospital room, and it's keeping him pinned until his air runs out. And that's looking to be - soon.

Very soon.]

[It's a softspoken man on the network tonight, one presently struggling to cope with a world of disappointment and anxiety. There's some stammering at the start of the message, but as he collects himself enough to share information, his cadence relaxes and grows more confident. This isn't about him right now. It's about everyone else.]

Pardon me -- if I could have everyone's attention for a moment? I'm sure we've all gotten a glimpse of what's gone on. I've some reason to believe that this might be a particular incident related to -- well -- that's not important. But I'd like to urge everyone to be mindful of the level of air presently available to you. As long as the number of available rooms continues to be infinite, it ought to be possible to make it through without incident as long as we stay in motion as necessary, provided that the doors continue to resist the rules of water pressure upon opening. I've done some calculations using what we know of the average unclaimed room. I believe that humans ought to be able to sustain themselves without incident for about eight hours without incident, though this is most likely variable for those of you with alternative physiologies. With that in mind, we may wish to consider that longterm planning might be an element to our survival. We may have to make efforts to organize our activities and movements to ensure we can all stay prepared for the week ahead of us.

[He pauses to take a breath, squeezing his fingers into his palm before continuing.]

Please be aware that since the oxygen-to-square-footage ratio provided is a rough estimate that may be impacted by people collecting together in groups, vigilance will also be important when it comes to recognizing the early signs of oxygen deprivation. If you notice an increase in heart rate or shortness of breath, please consider setting yourself into motion sooner rather than later. The same applies if you're with others and notice dilation of the pupils, or that they've started to display visible motor impairment.

I also hope that we can utilize the network to communicate distress when needed. I'll be in touch with a few of you soon with regards to some plans for relief and rescue.

Let's see if we can't all make it out of this in one piece, yeah?

She'd considered doing a text and had decided against it given the discussion that might follow, had considered doing an audio message but had thought people might notice her voice wobbling. Noooooooo. She just had to do video. She takes a deep breath. ]

Tony Stark has left Wonderland. [ She presses her lips together and swallows before she continues. ] He spoke on the network a while ago about creating a version of SHIELD here, I'd like to continue that. Not like he intended, though. Instead, I'd like to get a group together on a voluntary basis to meet in the tea rooms after each event to talk about what we did and things we could have done. This review means we'll be able to act more quickly in future events. We've had at least three zombie-based events since I got here - going over what we did right and wrong can't hurt at this point.

I also think it's important to get together with scientists and other people investigating things in Wonderland to share what we've all discovered. [ She glances away for a moment. ] Neither Tony and Romanoff, who helped him with this before, are here anymore, so it's up to me to get the ball rolling. If you have any criticisms, I'm sure none of you will hold back from expressing them to me. [ At least, she doesn't think they'll hold back given what they put Tony through. And yes, she's a little bitter that people were mean to her fully-grown, avenging, iron-helmeted, not-brother. ]

And just to be clear, since there were concerns about this when Tony tried to get it going, this isn't meant to be a takeover. He was inspired by SHIELD to form a unit to protect Wonderland - SHIELD and the Avengers were the two groups he had the most experience with when it came to protecting people, so he used them as inspiration in Wonderland. But two-thirds of the people who originally worked on the idea are already gone and there's no guarantee that I'll stick around. Ergo, the informal get-togethers to share information. No one really in charge, and an informal group means that the group is more likely to outlast any one person in the group.

So if you can, please get in touch to work with me on this. [ After that, the view further darkens as she reaches over the leans to turn off the camera. ]

If anyone is listening to this, I’d really appreciate knowing what the hell just happened to me. I was walking out of a room and the next thing I know I’m falling into a fountain.

[ The feed opens to a view of Darcy in the corner of the coffee shop, a steaming mug beside her and an assortment of electronics. She may or may not be making up for lost time thanks to Hell. Not cool Wonderland, not cool. Thankfully her time there hadn't been too bad - handy to have a buddy with a literal infinity stone inside of her around. ]

'Sup fellow Wonderlandians, I thought it'd be cool to do a little gift exchange throughout the mansion - especially after our latest adventure courtesy of this place. It's also getting to be that time of year that it gets tougher if you've lost people or feel like you're on your own. So! I wanted to do a Wonderland Secret Santa or a Holiday Super Secret Gift Exchange or a-- [ Time for everyone to get a front seat to the spinning wheels of her mind at work. ] Secret Christmahanakwanziwhateverelsepeoplecelebrate...ta if you don't celebrate Christmas........... thing. [ Don't worry if you're confused by what she just said guys, it's pretty evident by her expression that she confused herself. She's trying to make an effort to keep it inclusive, but she didn't exactly plan out a new name for the thing beforehand. ] Anyone can participate, newbies or if you've been around here forever. For people who don't know what it is, you get a name and you have to put together a present for them. Doesn't have to be anything special, but it doesn't hurt to make an effort. Also, it's a cool way to get to know new people or to just stay in touch.

I know it's a little early to be throwing this out there, but the Mansion likes to throw kinks in Holiday plans usually, so better safe than sorry on that front. Fingers and toes crossed this place doesn't turn a solid chunk of the population into tiny children again, getting stuck on the coat hook was no fun. [ Yeah, that's a whole 'nother story in and of itself. ] Any questions, feel free to hit me up or stop into the coffee shop. [ She picks up a stack of paper, scribbled notes and scientific drawings cluttering the pages. ] I'll be here for at least a few hours working through this stuff. There will also be a bucket on the counter down here if you need a little time to think about signing up. Hoping to get names out to people in the next, like, week and a half to two weeks. Thanks everybody!

[ And with that, she ends the feed on the laptop - shooting off a quick text to Steve before going back to building a way to keep track of everything in between pages. ]

[The video comes on to show Shepard's face, looking like she is a hairline trigger from 'irritated' to 'might rend something with her bare hands', but really, can best be described as 'done with her entire life, and looking into the camera like she's on the Office as demons scream behind her. In literal Hell'.]

Alright. This probably should've been expected out of this place eventually. But y'know what? Nope. Not doing this like we've done the last couple events. 'Mm just not.

[She pans the camera around to display her surroundings, about in the middle of the 'camp' they all seem to have been dumped in.]

No more divide and falter. If you can fight, and you don't want to sit here and deal with this crap anymore, meet me here in the next half an hour. I'm setting up patrols and watches until Wonderland remembers it's ass from it's head. No shame if you can't, complete shame if you won't.

[Usually she'd smile or do a mock salute, but she's just... she's just done. She's so fucking done.]

See you soon. Don't die.

[Wanda has gotten through her first few days in Wonderland quietly and has kept to herself; she's been here since the 21st, and now it's the 25th. Meaning: It's time to make a more public appearance now that she's determined that there's no way out of here any time soon -- or if there is, it's neither an obvious nor easy feat.

The video opens focused on the face of a 26 year old, long dark hair, green eyes, and a heavy Sokovian accent when she speaks -- East European generally, but could also be mistaken for one that is vaguely Serbian, for those more familiar with that one as opposed to the Sokoivan accent.]

I have been here only a few days, but now that I have learned as much as I think I can on my own ... hi. [Well, it's a start of an introduction.] My name is Wanda Maximoff.

[A soft sigh, followed by a pause that lasts a half second.] I can start with something simple: What is the weirdest thing you have gotten out of these closets? [Because yes, she's already figured out that trick here over the past few days.

She holds up a green pen with a decorative ball of fluff or something on it that kind of makes it look like a duster instead; basically one of those shitty novelty pens from the 1990s.]
It gave me this. [That's her weirdest closet artifact so far.]

Hell.

Elizabeth? Elizabeth!?

[Booker mumbled off camera for a bit until the device was picked up, and nearly dropped out of shock upon seeing himself on the small screen. He figured it was some sort of lady's compact mirror... with typewriter keys. He was more concerned about the gash on his forehead and the current nosebleed he was sporting. He touched two fingers to the bleeding wound, allowing himself to can the macho act for just a moment to whimper like a baby. This job was going from bad to worse.]

Great. At least we're away from that mechanical menace.

[He lifted an arm to wipe the blood away with a sleeve, inspecting the source of it, that's when he noticed the words ‘recording’ flashing in the corner of the screen.]

Recording…? Recording what? Hey, just so we're clear. I ain't paying for this moving pictures thing.

Uh, hello? I’m looking for a girl. [He felt like a moron for talking to a moving picture.] Brunette, blue skirt. Long hair- tied up in a ribbon. No, that’s wrong. Short hair. She just cut it. Goes by the name Elizabeth...?

This is ridiculous. No one is going to hear this.

[He pockets the device as it's still recording, catching a rather colorful monologue as he heads towards what he believes is civilization.]

[There were days when Cami had been younger, more naive, that she might have liked to take a trip to Hogwarts. Of course, those days had been before vampires and witches and werewolves, much less Wonderland and all that world entails--and in its own way, that's fitting. During the event, she'd been a teenager again, one who'd seen her share of troubles but who also lived in an idealistic, carefree way, where her largest concerns revolved around her friends and her romance with a bad boy wizard who secretly had a heart of gold.

And then she wakes up.

It's hardly the first time she's gone through that morning after, when old memories reclaimed the place briefly stolen by fiction. As she opens her eyes and realizes she's alone, however, Cami sucks in a sharp gasp. That event, with all its innocence, has shown her something she knows she can never truly have. She's learned the truth about so many things, after all, since she'd first sat down to read the story of a boy wizard's magical journey. Vampires and werewolves and witches--and hybrids--are far more complicated than the world found within those pages.

She takes her time those first few days after the mansion restores itself. Cami gathers her composure and whispers into the silence of her room that it hadn't been his fault, because even when there are walls separating them she knows Klaus is listening. She reestablishes her routine because Cami has learned by now just how important that is for her when it comes to orienting herself after one of the more involved memory-altering events.

There is one part of her day missing, however. Even before Hogwarts, Cami has sent out a message to her regular patients that she's taking a vacation of sorts. She needs time for herself because more and more she's noticing the advice she gives, the effort she takes aren't having their intended effect. Something has shifted, because of the arrival of the Mikaelsons or simply due to her own tenure in Wonderland, or some combination of the two. Now, she sits in her office, tapping the table next to her phone, but doesn't turn the video on as she might on other occasions.

This isn't a broadcast she wants to make using her own face, or voice, or name.

Of course, at least one of those concerned would recognize her identity, despite the steps Cami takes to make it anonymous. She almost locks the post away from him, then opts not to, then changes her mind yet again. In some ways she knows it isn't fair to ask about this but not go to Klaus directly--yet that's exactly what makes her uncertain. Cami isn't blind, after all, nor unaware of the world she lives in back home. She might even be able to put some of the pieces herself together if she wanted to.

She doesn't want to.

In the end, she doesn't hide the text from anyone, although she doesn't claim it as her own either. She's not ready for that on such a public scale, even if she needs to ask the question. For all that she tries to do, Cami's never really been the first one to ask for help herself--not when it comes to her own problems.]

Do you ever think about the life you haven't lived yet?

One of the things about being in Wonderland is that your "time" doesn't continue while you're here. I think most of us know it and generally accept it. But other people from your same world can be pulled in, and for them, you've kept living. Your life has gone on, in ways you haven't experienced yet. They know your joys, your sorrows, your heartaches.

Meanwhile, for you, all those things are just part of the great "to be." Instead, you've been living here, in a world forgotten by everyone except those people within it. You might have made friends, maybe enemies. Maybe lovers. There's a chance you've found a job somewhere, or even started a service of your own, or picked up a dozen new hobbies. But however you fill it, the minutes and the hours and the days go by--and then it's months. Years. You have a life here. You're a different person.

And then someone shows up. Someone you're close to, that you care about. They're here, and you're so happy, that at first, you don't really see it. Or maybe you do, and you just pretend. But it's there, every time they look at you. Something strange in their eyes that you can't define. That you don't want to. Something that's part of that future you haven't lived through yet, that you haven't wanted to know because knowing means you carry the weight of it. Everything you learn here, you're burdened by, because you can't change it once we leave. Good, bad, whatever. It will be, and knowing about it, dissecting it, taking apart all the choices and the causes that made it happen?

Won't change a damn thing.

So what do you do? Because this person is here, and you want them to be. You want them to be in your life, but at the same time? If they look at you that way, even once more, you think it might really drive you mad. You want to fix it, whatever it is, but you can't. You want to know, but you don't. You suspect, but asking for the truth just makes it real.

Is it fair? To them, to you. Can any approach to this be considered "right?"

And what does it change about who you are now, in this place?

[Once it's done, Cami sits back in her chair, surveying the empty office. It isn't just the future she's concerned about, but identity itself. She would have been, even if Hogwarts hadn't brought the question into sharp relief, but it has--it's shown her just who she might be, what she might enjoy had she come from a different world. If Klaus had as well.

She knows she needs to decide just what to do about that complicated mess, but there's more to her life than just her relationships from home. For the better part of a year, she'd lived on her own in Wonderland, the sole representative of her version of New Orleans, or even that particular earth. She's not the same Camille O'Connell who arrived in the tunnels almost two years before (three counting the one she'd gone back home) because she's not untouchable. She's been so focused on trying to "help," other people, and now Cami thinks she understands why.

Because when Hogwarts first faded, her instinct had been to get on the network, and reopen her office with some speech about altered identity--because then she wouldn't have to think so hard about her own.

A few hours go by between her first transmission and the next. This time, however, she's on the video, a small smile on her lips that speaks more of apology than confidence.]

Hi, all. My name is Cami O'Connell, for those of you that don't know me, and I run the therapist office on the sixth floor.

[Now the hard part. She takes in a breath, and lets it out.]

I've been thinking a lot about how I've been living in Wonderland lately. I've wanted to believe I've held myself together with dignity most times--but that isn't true. I'm more than just my self-appointed purpose, and I think somewhere along the way, I forgot that. I wanted to be my profession so much, I pushed aside the rest of it. It's been a great way not to deal, but this is Wonderland, and I'm human. There's only so many times I can be hit before the cracks begin to show.

I've...died here. [She drops her gaze momentarily, although the pain of that has largely faded in the time since. She's never admitted it this way, this publicly.] I've seen people I care for die. I've seen others broken. I've felt the helplessness of realizing my mind has been toyed with. My relationships, my memories, my life--everything I am. And I guess through all of that, I thought if I could hold on to one thing, make that consistent, I could rise above it all. But when that becomes a singular goal, it's easy to forget the real reasons why I chose to be what I am--and why I was good at it.

[Why she can still be, if Cami gets her priorities straight. She huffs out a small laugh, her voice softening for a moment.]

Wow. It almost feels like I'm at confession.

Anyway. For those of you who've seen the less dignified version of me, I'm sorry. For those of you who have trusted me, thank you. And for those of you willing to accept a flawed, ordinary human as a therapist, I'm going to start keeping office hours again, starting now. Feel free to knock, or leave a message, and we can set up an appointment. Sixth floor, room twenty. I'm here to listen if people want someone to talk to.

That's all.

[ Usually when Clint wants to think or be alone he heads for the tallest thing he can find, in Wonderland's case, besides trees, that would be the mansion roof. Only today he's found himself wandering down to the shooting range by the beach with his bow and quiver. He really needs to fix this place up.

It was weird, waking up that morning in a room he didn't remember for a moment. The last thing he remembered was Steve getting them out of the raft and then...well then he was a sixteen year old Hogwarts student. His memories came back slowly and then all at once. Wonderland. He wondered how long he was gone, it feels like he's missing time.

So he heads down to the shooting range to clear his head for a few hours and at some point in there he addresses the network. He figures someone might want to know he's back.
]

Uh. So I'm back, I guess? I mean I've been back, but we had that weird event and I didn't know I was back. Yeah. Back from a trip home. [ Now he knows what everyone has been talking about. They were right, he was probably better off not knowing. ]

Does anyone else miss flying on a broom?

[ He's about to turn the feed off but he pauses and looks back at the camera. ] Hey Rogers, just so you know, I still don't feel the need to punch you.

[ Then he ends the feed for good, going back to shooting his arrows at targets. ]

[Oh look, it's that guy again. Yeah, you know the one. Or, maybe you don't. It doesn't matter. He's addressing everyone in Wonderland from a large, open room. It isn't his usual workshop, cluttered with tech. This looks more like a conference room...]

Some of you know me as Tony Stark. Some know me as Iron Man. Some know me as an Avenger. Some know me as just that pompous dillweed that keeps addressing the network like you should know me. Or, y'know, your Flying Professor. I'm all of those things, honestly. --except the professor. God forbid. No one in their right mind would let me teach kids. But more importantly, I'm observant.

See, as an Avenger, we're supposed to protect people. We're supposed to be there when you need us and I'm looking around right now, seeing mentions of deaths and honestly, we're doing a pretty shitty job at our job, aren't we? Granted, that was prior to our little magical vacation that I'm still coming to terms with. Anyway, it's true, we're just a few people with extraordinary skills, but we can't be everywhere at once. Some of us are too self-involved to notice when shit is going down around us and focusing on our own issues is putting us in a position to let everyone else down. For the record, that's me I'm talking about, not pointing fingers at anyone else.

So, when the mirrors dissolved several weeks ago and that massive influx of people flooded our not-so-peaceful little Wonderland, people died. I, myself, had a rather unpleasant interaction with my mirror and it occurred to me that I got off lucky. Now, you're probably thinking, What does this jerk know about my plight? Okay, fair enough. But I've seen whispers of mentions of needing a police force, or some way to hold people accountable for their actions in the past. Nothing very put together seemed to have been done about it. Until now.

Where I'm from, you have an organisation called SHIELD. Strategic Homeland--well, the acronym doesn't really matter, because it's an ideal. Yeah, there is always trouble in paradise, but having lived it, I know what to look for. SHIELD, Wonderland Division, would be an active group of people you could call upon for help. A research and development team would work on ways to passify rogue mirrors that happen to our side of town. We'd look for ways to help you without pushing the boundaries of invasiveness. It's a delicate balance, and I'm not saying it would be easy. There will be trial and error. There will be people who disagree--there always are. But I'm proposing a possible solution to work alongside the Avengers to protect the people.

Anyone with skill and proper training would be eligible. You'd have to be willing to be on call and you'd have to be willing to put aside some of your time to train with other skilled agents. I'd outfit everyone with the most effective, lightweight gear with the only stipulation being you use it to help, not hurt. Any abuse of power would be dealt with swiftly. If you think I can't deactivate my own tech, you'd be wrong. I once hosted a spectacular Christmas fireworks show using my own suits. I want this to work. I want Wonderland to be as safe as we can possibly make it so we can focus all our resources working to keep the public safe when Wonderland throws its little events at us.

If you're interested, please contact me. If you have any questions or concerns, I'm here to answer them. I've already constructed an emergency call line that will, with the help of a special device, transmit your location in relation to transponders I've located in a grid across the grounds. One press and a specialised team will dispatch to your area immediately. It's not a flawless system, and I have my doubts it will do much good during these events, but it's something.

Consider this the act of someone who has made his fair share of mistakes and wants to do what he can to prevent future ones.

Stark out.
