[It's been four days since the Carnival. Four days. Not five. Four. So here's a casual question, Wonderland.... ]

I'm going to make this quick.

How sure are we on the goddam intel that each death means a full day to come back?

[Yeah, that's pretty much it. He said quick, right?]

There's nothing to figure out except that you're absolutely full of shite. It would be the worst time to plant a spy when everyone is on high alert. If there are any spies among us they've either already been planted or they will be--when we're distracted by another event or after a period of relative quiet.

And if she is under any influence at all, dumping her straight into interrogation will likely yield very little, if anything, as well as tip her off to everyone she ought to avoid in the future. Yes, we could try to find out if she's been given information about passage between both sides, or the Queen herself.

I don't disagree with doing that, but considering Evelyn has been nothing but supportive of the residents of Wonderland for years, if there is anything of herself left, abruptly treating her like an enemy prisoner will only serve to shake her trust in other people. And for what? Trying to alleviate your own fears of what she might be? Or what she could be but we hardly understand the nature of as of yet?

There are better ways to handle this. You don't set a house on fire to light a candle.

[It's Ben's turn to sigh and you can practically hear his eyes rolling out of his skull.]

And if you're right, you've just slammed the door shut on simple cooperation because you were too much of a coward to deal with Evelyn properly.
