[ Brianna is sitting outside near the lake when she decides to play again, putting aside the book she was half-heartedly reading anyway. ]

We should play a game, maybe break up the day a little bit. It's called 'Would You Rather?' Basically, someone gives a scenario and you have to pick one or the other. No in between. You can explain your choice if you want, but we go back and forth until there's something so impossible to pick the other person gives up.

I'll even start.

[ She thinks for a moment, then looks back at the camera. ]

Would you rather know each time you're going to leave and come back when it comes to Wonderland, or would you rather it be a total surprise like it is now only you get to remember being here when you do leave?

I think I'd want to know when I was leaving. That way I could say goodbye, you know?

Hmm. Okay, what do I have. Supply wise? Can I get anything I need... or are supplies limited?

And I would happily share my bounty, too.

Let's say for whatever you choose, you can have three good supplies, but that's it, for whatever reason.

( Clementine smirks and then tilts her head to the side in thought. )

In that case, endless summer. It takes more than three good supplies to get warm in a proper winter. ( she should know. and maybe she's just had a lot of horrible things happen in winter back in her world, but summer is preferable. ) But as long as I have a pool and umbrella in summer that's not bad.

Very smart. I'm from Boston and it gets pretty cold in winter. Summer's definitely the way to go. What would your third 'supply' be?

[ She went pool and umbrella, so now Bree's curious. ]

Probably a very, very big resource of water for drinking from. Maybe a big lake. You have to boil the water first which would be a pain, but you'd have a lot of it.

( And fire is important for a lot of other reasons when out in the wild. )

We could even do that here, probably. The lake outside looks murky, but boiling it, then running it through purifiers if we wanted an extra precaution. Even so, I don't think we can get sick here? I don't know, I haven't figured that one out, yet.

I've been here a couple of years, and I've never been sick. ...I don't think I've seen anyone else get sick either so yeah. You could probably drink the gross lake water and not throw it up later. ( Clementine smirks a little bit. )

Ugh, just the thought kind of makes my stomach hurt. I mean, I've never tested the water but it looks kind of...algea friendly.

[ Like a pool that didn't have enough chemicals in it. Gross. But also nature? So it's pretty but she wouldn't want to be in it. ]

A couple years though? When you're new-ish I guess any amount of time longer than a few months sounds like forever.

A monster swims around in it somewhere. It's been known to eat people so yeah. Wouldn't want to drink it.

( at least not unless she had to, and even then, she'd still want to purify it first. )

Welcome to Wonderland. ...it's been about 2 and a half years. When I first came I was eleven, but sometimes Wonderland likes to send you home for a few years at a time.

[ What? First, someone releases baby sharks in the ocean and now there's a lake monster. Awesome. But speaking of the sea: ]

Someone told me there's something out in the ocean, too. Who even knows, I guess it wouldn't surprise me.

[ Clementine's explanation makes so much sense, and it does suddenly dawn on her that what happened to Jamie is sort of a shared experience by others. ]

When I first got here, my da was the same age as me, so that was...something. But then he left and came back after twenty years or something went by. And he was only gone from Wonderland for a week. I guess I didn't realize that happened to a lot of people, here.

Something like that. I've never seen it. Just heard about it.

It's big, and it's dangerous, and if people head too far out into the water, you can encounter it. Maybe people are just making up what's out in the water, but I sure as hell don't want to find out.

( Clementine wants to try to be in the know with what she can be when it comes to potential dangers around Wonderland.

There's a soft smile then as she nods. It's happened to a few people. Other times she'll be gone for just a couple weeks. )

...can't really imagine what that must have been like like. Did you get to know your dad in a new way?

I'm pretty sure some things are just myth and superstition based on so many people coming and going but--yeah. I'm good on never knowing the answer and not risking it.

[ She likes going to the beach, but more because she likes laying out in the sun, or under an umbrella reading a book with the ocean in the background.

I'd actually never met him before. So it was a weird...getting to know you session. It was a lot easier to see the ways he was like me when he was my age. Now that he's older it's obvious how he's grown and changed. Actually, it was kind of bizarre.

Think we're both smart like that.

( Some people are curious. Some people are adventurers. Clementine doesn't consider herself that.

She's a survivor, and it means being prepared, being aware. )

I... really can't imagine it. You must have always wanted to meet the father you never met before, but... getting to know him when he was your age and then later. Here.
