[James is already outside when he starts his feed. He's tried his best with the period muggle adventure clothes, he really has. But he's a bit untucked and sloppy. But at least he's got a hat to keep the sun off of his face, and that's the important part, right? And he knows how to tie up boots, sort of, so he's good to go! He's looking particularly excited today.]

So, there's something mysterious over there!

[And he gestures behind him, where the viewer can see the outline of the ruins pretty clearly.]

And I don't you about you lot, but I can't just stay here and stare at it all weekend. This might be the only time I get to go explore ancient Egyptian ruins in my life! I've got to go see them.

[He's bouncing on his heels in the sand a little - every second is one second less he'll be able to explore!]

So, is anyone with me? Hm?

I still don't really see how anyone could pass it up. I mean, when's the next time we're going to be in Egypt? Probably never, right?

Good! I've got some food packed, and my wand - which apparently still works for this event! We're not always that lucky, you know. I feel good about this one!

Well, maybe on a school trip or something once we've all gone back to wherever we came from, but for now, I really think we should take advantage of this.

A school trip? What kind of of school are you going to where you could potentially go to Egypt?

[Sure, he goes to magic school, but field trips aren't much of a thing at Hogwarts.]

It's no trouble at all! I've been here a little while now, so if there's anything you're ever wondering about, don't hesitate to ask, alright?

Uh, well, it's less of a school trip than it is a thing where you spend a semester studying at a different school. Not every place has those kind of programs, though.

[He shrugs.]

I'm going to an all-boys' private school, if that makes any difference. I think I understand most of it, at least the ideas, anyway. Actually believing that there's someone on the other side of the mirror who is the opposite of me is another story.

Coach, I will be so careful. I will be the most careful. You will never meet anyone in your life who will be more careful than I'm going to be in those ruins. I swear.

Oh. Huh. It sounds fun, but I don't know if I'd want to be away from my school for that long. I'd be so torn about it! And err...I guess you could call it a private school? But it's co-ed, and split into different houses.

[It's private from Muggles anyway? And do muggle schools even have houses?! He doesn't know.]

Oh, the Mirrors! I've never actually met mine, but I think it all sounds fascinating! I'm sure they'll show up eventually.

I think I know what you mean. I'd miss my friends if I was away from my school for that long.

By houses, do you mean different buildings?

Santana, a girl I know from back home, says she thinks mine has an afro.

Yeah, but what about the people you're invitin'? They don't have magic to help them out.

They'd be lost without me!

[He laughs a little, but really, he'd just miss them terribly and constantly send them owls with things he found in the sand and beg them to skip school and visit him.]

Um. Not exactly? They're in different parts of the castle, and we're all sorted into different ones.

But I've got magic to help them out! And one of them said he'll be probing things, whatever that means. We'll be fine!

[She is not getting into the probing right now.]

I don't know if you'll be able to keep an eye on everybody who might wanna come along. I better help out.

[And she in no way wanted to come along anyway. Nope.]

[If that was supposed to deter him, it didn't work - he's grinning ear to ear.]

Great! I knew you'd want to come - it's a hard offer to resist, I know. Between the two of us, I'm sure we'll be able to keep everyone safe.

Wait, your school is in a castle?

[You've just sparked his interest, James. That's way more interesting than his school, which is more or less a fairly normal one.]

It is! It's a boarding school, over in Scotland.

It looks interesting.

Doesn't it? I've never seen anything like it - or, well. At least not in person.

[He doesn't dwell on that long at all though - he just grins at Souji.]

How about it? Do you want to come with us?

[A nod.]

I'll meet you out there?

[Maybe in like 5 minutes or so. Has to have his Evoker with, of course, because who knows what lies ahead!]

You, me, these new kids Alan and Blaine, Coach Beiste, and Minato so far. It's almost like we're a proper expedition!

What do you have with you? What else should I bring?

[Sigh.]

You can only keep an eye on them if you don't get into trouble yourself, you know.

[He laughs!]

It's a good thing I don't plan on getting myself into trouble then, isn't it?

Well, I've got my wand, and some food. What else should we have for this? ...Maybe some rope?

Rope is good. Water. I'll bring that.

Have you ever been to Egypt before?

Oh! That's a good one. I've got a little bit, but this expedition got bigger than I expected - which is great! But we could still use more water.

No, never. This is probably the only chance I'll ever get, even if it's through some event. What about you?

Yes! I'm gathering everyone on the edge of town, and then we'll head off to the ruins from there.

I don't know about modern, but I'm sort of far off from Egypt at home. I just probably wouldn't get the opportunity.
