I. video/action (dated to the dawn of July 23rd)
[ The video opens in darkness, the only sound to be heard the gentle movement of waves lapping against the shore. However, the very moment a tinge of light begins to creep over the horizon, a Voice begins to sing.
It is a Song the likes of which few have ever heard before. It rises as the light grows stronger, swelling with the tide and soaring as a bird may fly. It resonates in the air as well as the earth, a happy sound that could make even the most solemn of men dance to its melody.
The brightness of the morning spills over the waves, glistening with the newness of day. The Song crescendos finally as the sun peaks in the sky, only to diminish and fade into the sounds of the sea.
A few moments pass before the Singer finally appears. Great paws, golden and velveted all, appear first as he steps into view. A large, shaggy lion pads silently to the water edge, the breeze rustling its mane.
He stands there for a little while before turning and walking down the beach. ]
[ ooc: Please have a look at Aslan's PERMISSIONS POST before tagging! Aslan will be wandering around the beach as well as the outside part of the grounds all day. Feel free to run into him! He will respond to this video as well. Also, if you think your character might be able to detect/discern Aslan's true nature, feel free to have them do so! ]

never late!
The answer he gives is a soft rumble, and the earth itself seems to resonate with his reply. ]
I am.
\o/
It is not something that he will correct when it is true. There are other universes with plenty of different beings. This is no ordinary lion, but he knew that from the start.]
You know, I think I may have to have the ground shake in the presence of my own words. Maybe then I would get a little more respect.
no subject
They shake enough in your presence, do they not?
[ Death is a natural part of life, but the end is frightening to many as it draws ever nearer. ]
no subject
In the end, they will always shake in the presence of the unknown. It doesn't hurt though to have a little more behind it. What am I saying though? If I wanted to have that kind of entrance, I could.
[He shrugs though. Perhaps being as subtle as he is will continue to amuse him.]
There is something to be said for silence though, isn't there?
no subject
He is what he is (a lion and so much more), and there is no need to embellish it.
A faint smile touches those tawny features. ]
For silence and a whisper.
[ A beat. ]
Well met.
no subject
He will give his own small smile in return, one he has been wearing since not but a second or two ago.]
I prefer my silence as much as the next other worldly being, but it can get quite dull. Nothing in excess can ever be complete and utter happiness. Seeing something unique everyday, whether it satisfies or angers, is worth experiencing.
And I must say that we do not have many that would be considered on the same level as yourself where I come from.
no subject
A soft rumble -- a thoughtful hum -- escapes him. ]
A true statement.
[ He has found it to be much the same in his own experience -- the perils of excess, and the joys of moderation. He is what he is, of course, and eternity lends itself to making new experiences fewer and fewer; he is creative, however, and has yet to find himself bored or lacking interest in anything he has seen or created. ]
It is much the same in the world from which I came.
[ He is Creator, and there is no other. ]
no subject
At the same time, he will always find it fascinating. Fascinating is not always interesting or desired, is it? This lion, or rather not a lion, is beyond understanding for most.]
There is not much to be done to this place. Whatever task you perform in your own world is not what you have here.
[He tilts his head.]
What does something like you plan to take away from this experience?
no subject
The answer, perhaps surprisingly, is not long in coming. ]
I have been many things for many different people.
[ A guide, a comforter, a savior, and so much more. Aslan has never restricted himself to simply standing above and watching those he considers his children. Their struggles are his, and though he only rarely interferes, he is in no way detached from the happenings of the world. ]
So long as I am here, I will continue to be as I always have.
no subject
[Death is being sarcastic as usual. In this case, it is good-natured and not dismissive. In the presence of those not unlike himself in the scope of a higher existence, he tends to take on a more unique tone.]
As much as you can do as you did wherever you come from, it will not alter the fate of those that now reside here. If this place intends for them to resurrect then they will resurrect. If they are sent back then they are sent back without warning.
I suppose though that some would call that an adventure.
