02 / video - WARNINGS FOR GORE, and Lucifer not giving any warnings for gore

Now before I say anything, I want to remind you all not to shoot the messenger.

[Yes, Wonderland, the angel of light is still amongst you- and is making a rare video appearance on the network. Reasons for this will soon become apparent.]

Dean and I never saw eye to eye, but really-

[He pans the camera around as he speaks and...

Squeamish viewers will want to look away.

Apparently what is on your screen is Dean Winchester. It may be hard to tell, unless you are intimately acquainted with his internal organs.

There is a body strapped upright to a mirror in the ballroom, buck-ass nude and with all its inner parts on display. (ooc: that second link is to a drawing of a pig dissected.) The body has been carefully dissected, and the organs carefully pinned in place so that nothing will fall out. Well. Not all of organs, if you look closely. There's a small gap where the spleen should be.

Others have been relocated. The body is eyeless (they're on a chair in front of Dean) and thumbless (they're down the throat). The lack of blood indicates that someone has taken the time to drain Dean of all blood before setting him up here.

Lucifer doesn't seem to mind sharing all this with the network without a warning. One part of a human is the same as another, right?

Instead of sounding pleased - as one might expect from a being who would like to end all humans - his voice sounds resigned.]
I suppose this is humanity for you.

[Shhh, Castiel doesn't know that yet. He may put his foot in his mouth when he finds out.

The question sets him on the defensive. Of course, it's meant to, and so Castiel does what he can to not let on how much Lucifer unnerves him.]

It's not always easy, but it's better than giving up before you even begin.

[He's made mistakes. He's going to continue to make mistakes. But he's trying, and that seems to be the important part, at least as far as the Winchesters are concerned.]

[Castiel no longer views angels as superior to humans, not the way he once might have. He's seen his siblings do horrible things, and he's also seen humans fight their hardest to clean up those messes.

But he realizes that trying to get through to Lucifer on that count would be a waste of time.]

I know. Which is why I remain at their side, to offer them counsel and aid however I can.

And whatever else may come their way. I think recent events have only proved that they have a tendency to attract trouble.

[Castiel's tone is sharp and pointed as he approaches Lucifer yet again. His own instincts scream at him, but Castiel doesn't usually leave something alone once he's fixated on it.]

Do you have any idea of who did this to him? [Lucifer's done a decent job of redirecting the subject, but Castiel won't give up just yet.]

[Castiel can feel that way that Lucifer's Grace flares out, as if to tell him to stay away, and he stops in place, eyes narrowed.]

It depends on how you're getting involved. [Still, Castiel knows a threat when he hears one. He takes the hint.]

If you'd prefer to stay neutral... I only need to know who collected his body.

[Castiel could never forgot Lucifer's ultimate plans for Sam. It's for the best that taking Sam as a vessel won't do him much good here in Wonderland -- that's likely the only reason Lucifer hasn't done more to make Sam's life Hell.]

This killer might go after Sam next. I can't imagine you would approve of that.

[A woman who knows Sam and Dean. That doesn't narrow it down much, but if he considers who would elect themselves to take the body, chances are it's Ellen or Jo. He'll go to the bar next, then.]
