[Welcome to a feed of the diner, where Souji is standing behind two pyramids carefully constructed from cheeseburgers (there's also a plateful of Christmas cookies, but they're shoved off to the side because Mansion made those, not Souji). He's looking at them in bemusement, as though he's only just now realized just how many he's actually made.

He's wearing a pale pink apron that probably actually belongs to Tohru. In the background, he's already dragged out the Colonel and decked him out with a Santa Hat and string of lights.

After a few seconds, he shrugs and looks at the camera, noticing it's on. Well, that decides it.]

I'd like to propose a trade. [As though this was his plan the whole time.] A cheeseburger for a Christmas gift idea.

[OOC Note: Souji will be about 5 due to cookies from 12/13-12/15. I'm including a top level catch all thread for anyone who wants to interact with him during those dates. This will probably be the only time he'll ever be shorter than most of the other residents of the Mansion.]

[After giving in to temptation and eating one of the Mansion's cookies, a 5-year-old version of Souji wanders about the Mansion, opening doors (without knocking) and quietly playing in hallways and common areas. He tries to cook for himself--he's not afraid to try to use the stove--and wanders outside to play out there as well.

Feel free to run into him anywhere around Wonderland!]

A what?

[ cheese....what? ]

[As per the usual, the Pie Maker arrived in the diner early to warm up the ovens, to achieve the regular peace and solace that one might expect from a dawn wake-up call, rolling dough and cutting fruit. The others make their way in, Souji and Tohru, the latter an avid cleaner and the former rummaging in some side closet. An hour or so in, immersed in his work, Ned smells cooking meat.

On a fundamental level Ned is aware that meat is the perfect vehicle for protein, that its warm, rich smell is often reassuring to people, that the scent of 'cheeseburger with everything on it' is a delight to most regular humans. The burger-y odor persists for some time and, finally, Ned pokes his head out of the baking area to squint at a veritable pyramid of goods that McDonald's would envy.

When he turns he gets a face full of mannequin, one who looks a little too much like Colonel Likken (of Colonel Likken's Fried Chicken fame) from back home.]

Uh. Souji...?

[A beat.]

Is there...a reason for the terrifying fried chicken proprietor and the Egyptian homage to Americana?

[ Simon's not sure how he's found himself all the way up at the diner in his explorations, but it's just one more place he can't find his Nan.

He did, however, find the giant pyramids of cheeseburgers and stops to stare at them with wide, fascinated eyes.

Where on earth had he wandered to this time? ]

Are you going to eat all of those?

[ Because lets be real, that's the most important question here. ]

[This is Lily's first experience with the Colonel, but it's hard not to grin when she spots the lights that have been draped over him. She was a little sore about the mansion decorating itself after she'd taken the time to deck out the entrance hall herself, but the soreness is starting to subside.]

The diner looks very festive, Souji.

[She adopts a thoughtful expression, letting out a soft hmm.]

I might be able to help, but it depends. Who's the gift for, or do you just mean in general?

[Tohru's in the diner as well, and since Souji's making so many cheeseburgers, she's taken a moment to come out of the kitchen and clean the tables and counters. She gladly lets him use her apron (which, frankly, is probably something that happens a lot) and she was very enthusiastic about the idea of bringing out the Colonel early. Colonel Santa always makes things a little more festive, somehow.

She can't help over-hearing the post he's making to the network, but she waits until it's over to go speak to him.]

That's a really good idea, Souji! But, who are you trying to come up with a gift for?
