[ When the video feed comes to life, Isaac is lounging on a rather plush chair looking far more smug than he ever has in his life. He's got a cup of tea balancing on one of the arm rests and next to it a plate of biscuits - quite the sweet tooth at the moment apparently. Two things stick out like a sore thumb - the amount of stubble on the usually babyfaced teenager and the white gauze pad above his eyebrow. Of course when "Isaac" opens his mouth it becomes apparent quickly that either A) Isaac has developed a European accent or B) this isn't Isaac. ]
I'll say, one moment I was smack dab in The French Quarter and then I found myself here and I haven't a bloody clue how it happened.
[ He purses his lips a bit indignantly before speaking again. ]
And while I have to assume the company here is far superior to the company I was forced to keep there - I'm not a big fan of this unbreakable boundary spell. I'd like to meet the witch that cast it.

[ The words leave his mouth before he can even think them through - but even if he had, he'd still say them. ]
Or I'm just gonna assume you're madder than a hatter.
[ A bad phrase considering where they are. ]

Alright.
[Michael sets the device down, still recording, and turns his back to it. Rolling his shoulders, large, black wings will erupt from his back, and he'll flex them once, spreading them, then quickly withdraw them.]

He's never seen something like this before and he's been around a long time. ]
It's a shame you hide them.
[ Blue eyes continue to watch the other man even after he withdraws them. ]
Why do you?
[ He's trying to ignore the fact that Michael is an angel and blabbering about god. ]
Are they real?
[ They could easily be an illusion. ]

[Michael adjusts the device, and frowns a moment, sitting back down as he considers the first question.]
They do not allow me to, [A small pause.] Fit in as much as I find is necessary.
[He'd come from a world where most humans feared angels, hated them. There were a few like that here in Wonderland, and Michael had decided not to stand out any more than he could help.]
My wings, they show that I am not human.
[Michael speaks the last word softer, gentler and almost longingly. He had not met many that liked his wings, he was unused to the attention they were receiving.]

[ Kol muses over the other male's words. Tea and biscuits long forgotten with the new information he's been presented. In person he could tell if it were an illusion - angels, god can't be real. Not singular at least. A 1000 years of being Pagan and never being proven otherwise - it sort of sticks with someone.
But if they're real, Kol is very interested. ]
I think they're beautiful.
[ Call him a hedonist, but he figures life is there to be enjoyed. ]
Fitting in is overrated sometimes.
no subject
[Beautiful.]
And, thank you, Kaleb.
[They may set him apart from the humans, but he was fond of them. Wings, a gift from his father, but something that made it clear he was an angel. Michael sighs, tipping his head, and shrugging a little.]
Yes, but generally easier if trying to hide in a place that wants my kind destroyed.
no subject
Who wants your kind destroyed?
[ Sounds far too familiar for his liking. ]
no subject
[He sighs.]
In return for my kind attempting to destroy them.
