second galaxy [video]
[The post opens to reveal Shepard in full armor, and despite it seeming like her voice would be muffled she can be heard loud and clear. Her sniper rifle can be seen slung on her back, and despite looking like the device is stuck on her arm, she's crammed behind overturned tables as cover and shooting a very fancy pistol offscreen. Finally, she ducks down, and addresses the network directly.]
This is Commander Shepard! If anyone needs help getting somewhere safe, I'll come get you. For people running safehouses, let me know how much space you have and the fastest way to get to you. I'll try to keep everyone updated on what hallways are blocked.
[She ducks her head back over her makeshift cover, shoots a charged shot, and knocks the gun against her knee to pop out a heat sink before shoving a new one in the base. She seems to forget the network is there, for a second.]
Yeah, come get me, you stumblin' assholes! You're jack shit compared to what I shot last month!
[She then readdresses the network, outside of her trash-talking.]
I'll be moving as much as I can until this is over. Again, if you need help, or have a safe space, let me know. Nobody's getting left behind, not if I can help it.

diner on the 8th floor's geared up to be a safehouse
get yourself a mask if you can this stuff spreads if you breathe it in
unless that helmet does filter stuff already
[It looks all...filter-y. He has no idea, he's not a future-tech expert.]
text
Should keep everything out unless it get shattered. They shouldn't get close enough for that.
Thanks for the safehouse info.
[It's also got talk-to-text, which is nice, because jeez she has no time to type.]
text
these things also seem to like loud noises maybe keep the gunfire to a minimum
[Unless she's far away from him when she fires.]
text
Also good to have places not to go crashing through.
And I'll try to shoot quietly. Not exactly in a hurry to go hand-to-hand with these things.

text
And assuming these things bite, also puts you in range of that.
Hope you've got some good armor.

[She doesn't wanna think about what'll happen if not, but it's concerning. There's no way she could take down a planet-full of Reapers on her own. Maybe the foot troops, but...]
Let's hope it sticks to that, anyway. I wouldn't want anyone here going hand to hand what I'm usually at war with.
text
mansions not exactly giving us handouts at this point
but i also havea fucking laser gun so
text
And see, everyone gives up hand-to-hand in favor of a laser gun.
It's practically science.
text
i fire it once i get every monster in ten miles on my ass
text
They kill faster, though. If you've already got a hoard they're more useful than trying to punch them all.
You might want to look into a silencer in the future, though.
text
[He's...actually being one hundred percent serious on this one.]

( Things are never quite right )
What are they?
text
dude what the fuck
I mean
Seriously?
text
things were weird

These things here remind me a lot of their foot soldiers, though. Those are easy enough to fight, but they're never-goddamn-ending, because they make 'em on a supply line, basically. Or out of corpses. There's never a shortage of dead in any kind of war. And that doesn't even touch the indoctrination. Longer you spend around 'em, the more they take over your mind to help them out.
So everyone better hope they never show up here, since we haven't figured out how to beat 'em.
text
Goddamn.
Then again if this is what passes for an 'event' then you're probably not lying.
text
he's still around somewhere
might have some weapons if your interested but idk
text
It's a good thing to know there's a ton of heavily armed people around here.
As long as they all know how to shoot and no one's killing themselves.
text
20 bucks says half the people here are gonna end up blowing there brains out by the events end
text
Senseless death isn't exactly helpful in any situation.
If we're lucky most people will find someplace to wait it out where it's safe.
text
not exactly senseless
[Says the man who's already down TWO.]

( The foot soldiers were a worrying thought, though those Reapers? Lydia really hoped that they didn't show up. Though with Wonderland's reputation? Never count on it )
I hope they don't show up. I doubt we could even get one nuclear strike.
text
Any death that isn't necessary is senseless.
You shouldn't just throw it around like a get out of jail free card.
[Shepard knows a lot about death! Specifically, suffocating to death in the void of space. This is Not A Fun Way To Die.]

[It does scare her, to think about having to face them all down, alone. Worse than alone- protecting a mansion full of innocent people. People she could never save all of. People who she would lose.]
Hey, Wonderland probably couldn't fit one in the mansion, so... maybe it won't bother. Unless it likes getting trampled by giant metal spike-feet.
text
it still fucking sucks
but i'm just saying it's not the end all be all
text
But hey, I'm not your mom.
Professional advice, though, don't get your head blown off.

Take care, kid. I got things to shoot.
By the sound of it you do too.

I assume you don't need to hear it, but stay safe. You need help getting anywhere, call me. I'm not letting anyone on my watch get eaten by these things.

Good. Seems like most people around here have this handled, but, you know. I'm rootin' for ya, kid.
[Okay that just sounds awkward. When did she become such a mom? Jeez.]
