Most of the planet are now the living dead with a craving for human flesh. Which is weird honestly because it's not like they actually need to eat. But also getting bitten has a roughly 100% infection rate so... fun times all round.

That sounds more like an accident than a find. [It's a technicality, but it's something he can focus on and comment on while his mind tries to wrap itself around the rest of it. So many people, dead.]

Yeah. I don't think it was intentional, no matter what some crazy people on the radio insinuate. But that's the biggest thing that's happened. Unless we find a cure, I can't imagine we'll have many other breakthroughs any time soon.

The cure would be the breakthrough, presumably. I can see how it would take priority.

Yeah. And it's slow going since we don't have the best equipment and most of the hospitals and medical facilities are swarming with the undead.
