shorthair: lonely bones come a calling (lonely shadows following me)

[video] whatever bitter brew you're drinking

[ Clementine debated a lot on whether or not she should use video or text. People see a kid, and they already feel a certain way about that. It might have them keeping some truths to themselves, and it's important that she get all the information she can for this article. It's a matter of life or death. These zombies end up in Wonderland? People will be dropping like flies unless they already know how to deal with it.

However, Georgia talks about truth a lot and how important it is, and the truth is Clementine's a kid who has lived through 2 years of zombies and an apocalypse. It's the truth, and she's been through plenty of shit because of it. She finally decides to do video. She's clearly seated in the library with a notebook at her side and a bunch of recording devices she's only just learned how to use.]

Hi, I'm Clementine. I'm an intern with After the End Times with Georgia and Shaun.

I'm writing a paper about people's zombies or walkers or whatever you call them in your world. If you have the dead coming back to life and trying to eat people, I want to know about it. I want to interview you about it.

I get I'm a kid, but I've already lived through some shit. [She winces. Cursing is probably not professional.] My world's had walkers for over two years.

Don't hold back with me. People will die if this shit's- [GAH] stuff's not right. This is how we can keep people safe when Wonderland gives us an event from one of our worlds. We gather the information. We share it. We teach people how to survive. Even if you come from my world, you might have some tips on survival that I don't know yet so I want to talk to you too.

We can talk here or you can meet me at the library. Georgia said she'd be checking in too so don't be surprised if she pops in on the interview since I'm still learning how to do this part.

Action option
[People in the library might find Clementine at one of the tables, surrounded by her notes and her pen and her highlighters, which she's trying to use to help her color coordinate her notes which she'll take on what people tell her. Each color for a different world/different type of zombie.

When she was last in school, she wasn't making notes. She was only just learning how to write a full paragraph.

The third grade feels a long time ago. She's got a gun and hatchet on her as always. They're sheathed. Then the camcorder goes tumbling out of her hands as she hisses out a breath:]

Fuck! [Way too loud for a library. Definitely not professional.]

[Georgia is also sitting in the library, nodding along approvingly while Clementine finishes up her broadcast. Normally she doesn't take this hands on an approach to helping newbies, but Clementine doesn't exactly have normal circumstances. Besides, this article is extremely interesting to her, especially considering the high likelihood she'll run into them during events.

The carefully trying not to swear part makes a smile flit over her face, so quickly it's almost not there. Georgia only rarely watches her mouth, but she's been in the business long enough that she doesn't need to.]

Good. You have your questions ready?

[Dipper isn't quite brave enough to use the camera or go talk to Clementine in person. Honestly, he almost considers not responding. His experiences with zombies are... bad. Both in how they make him look and in remembering them. But he really likes Clementine, and, well, sharing information about zombies can save lives. And he does... have information on zombies.]

Well... we have zombies where I'm from. Or had. It wasn't like a full-out apocalypse or anything.
choosetruth: (it's the same either way)

[personal profile] choosetruth 2017-02-02 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
[It's a good system. Not exactly what Georgia would use, but that's mostly because her handwriting is terrible and any notes she writes are just to be transcribed later in an extremely organized file on her computer. But it's a good system, and if it's what Clementine thought of, it's probably the best one for her. Or at least, a good serviceable one for the time being. She nods.]

Looks good. I'll be right here if you need any assistance.
krmvgivv: (and the world were connected)

It's... different from everyone else's zombies. [He sounds more embarrassed than anything else at this point. This isn't the hard part, just the awkward part. Zombies were scary, but it wasn't until Wonderland that they became a real nightmare.] They're summoned by magic, for one. It's not a disease or anything like that.

[ He doubts Tess is gonna be eager to spill the beans, and he won't make Ellie do it - she doesn't need to dwell on all of this. Joel really isn't one for interviews either, but...

People will die if this stuff's not right.

He knows the Infected had shown up here once. It could happen again. Better to warn people now than scramble once it's too late.

So he finds the kid in the library, drags up a chair and settles in, and raises an eyebrow as the camera goes tumbling. ]

You keep talkin' like that, that librarian's gonna throw you right out.

[ He should know. ]

[In the fashion of a typical adult, Anders takes one look at the maker of the video and sees a tiny tot looking back at him. To be fair, he is a tall man, most women under 6'0" seem small to him--the little girl just happens to be smaller than most due to her age.

But there are a few things in her message that get his attention (besides the "After the End Times" bit, that sounds a bit on the nose to him), namely--zombies or walkers. Zombies. Walkers. He's heard that before.]

Say... might you be from the same world as someone here going by the name of Michonne?

[Curious squinting. That sounds like Michonne-speak.]

[Jean is kinda hesitant, because Clementine is just a kid, but it sounds like she knows what she's talking about. And the cause is good. He's already concerned about his memories getting picked for these "events" everyone's been talking about.]

Titans aren't corpses coming up from the grave, but they do eat people. Does that count?

I don't know why anyone would want to. [He does know why someone would accidentally do it. Because they're anxious to prove magic is real and see a spell in a book and don't read the... any of the print.] But no, you can't control them.
krmvgivv: (but i meant well)

[personal profile] krmvgivv 2017-02-03 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
[There's a lengthy silence.]

We only had confetti cannons, a karaoke machine, and Grunkle Stan's brass knuckles. But uh, it turned out there's one thing that works better on zombies than any of those. Probably even better than guns.
postictal: (look at all this bullshit)

[personal profile] postictal 2017-02-03 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
i guess?
maybe when you're writing.
not so much if you're doing talking and interviewing.

[But what's he know? He's not exactly a successful blogger.]

[Newt had been in the library doing a bit of research of his own. Certainly not on the same subject, though when he heard the girl speaking, he couldn't help but catch her speaking with another. While more of a subject for the American wizarding world, the word zombie was not entirely unknown to him.

Not to mention recent rumors in his own circles that might well relate.

So when she was alone a moment later, he crossed to come and stand before her.

Clearing his throat, his gaze came to her face, trying not to wince at the youthfulness there, that she should be out playing, learning at school, something, anything but trapped and losing her memories. Not even having a clue just how bad things had been for her.

His gaze slipped away, head canted slightly.]

Pardon me, but I heard you speaking about zombies, with the camera earlier. Is that... Are zombies an issue one has here?

[Being most polite, his voice pitched low because of the library, unable to help himself in asking, wanting to know after talks of Grindelwald's plans with his world's own zombie like creatures.]

[Georgia is sitting a few seats down, close enough to make it clear she's listening but also clear that she'll only butt in if she needs to (aka don't wait for me in tag order), but she does lean forward at this point, adjusting her sunglasses.]

If swearing in the library got you kicked out, I'd never be let back in at this point. I think she's ok.

[Georgia's sitting a few seats away, dressed, as usual, in all black with sunglasses hiding her eyes. She nods as he approaches, but doesn't say anything. She's letting Clementine run this show for the most part, but she's here to butt in should she need to. (aka don't wait for her in tag order or anything).]
choosetruth: (as we kept out of sight but no more)

[Georgia's lips twitch slightly in about as close to smiling as she ever gets.]

Of course. It's an important article, and I wasn't about to let you tackle it without guidance.
