[The recording is, presumably, accidental. Souji himself is mostly out of frame, although his hands are visible as he works on putting together a plastic model. The thing is half finished and he's popping the remaining pieces out of their plastic casing when there's a sharp but quiet snapping sound.

He hesitates, puts the piece down. Or rather, puts two pieces that should be one piece down.]

...Damn it.

[He sighs and goes about seeing if he can glue the broken plastic back together without the break being too obvious.]

[Kanji winces at the snapping sound, the broadcast grabbing his attention and causing him to look up from the manga he'd been thumbing through. He frowns, grabbing his phone to get a better look, squinting one eye closed.]

Need a hand there, senpai?

[Aww, that piece broke. Minato would have to check if he could get another one of those figurines from the closet too since he got this one last time.]

... Let me check if I can get a spare piece.

I think I've got it. I can glue it back together.

[Sigh.]

This kind of thing doesn't usually happen.

[He sighs, but smiles a little, sheepish.]

Sorry. It's the one you gave me.

[Minato shook his head. He pulled a chair up by the closet.]

It's okay.

[Minato thought about the Kan U or Guan Yu figurine in his mind and asked the closet for it. He did get a gundam, but not the right one. Who was this, Liu Bei or Ryuu Bi? Not the right one. Damn.]

Maybe I should just ask for that piece.

Is that one of those Gundam model kits? [ He's always wanted to try building one of those, but after starting his job as a hospice nurse, he just never had the time. ]

You don't have to. [It might get tedious, and he doesn't want to put Minato through the trouble.] I can probably glue this one back together.

[Hopefully it won't come out lopsided or something if he does that.]

Yeah. A little different from the normal ones, though, since this one is an SD version.

You need the set.

[So Minato tried a couple of times, and finally got a Zhang Fei (Chou Hi) to go with the Liu Bei (Ryuu Bi) since Kan U shouldn't be alone. Have to have friends. Guan Yu can't fight in the Three Kingdoms alone.]

[Let's hope Souji doesn't break these ones either?]

[Souji nods and waits for Minato to come over. He knows Minato knows he can just come in, no problem, since Souji's expecting him. In the meantime, he focuses on getting the piece he's holding set just right and holds it in place while the glue dries.]

SD version? [ He's not just asking because he's trying to be polite here. He's actually seriously interested. ] Like standard? Because I've seen those larger ones. [ The ones in the giant boxes he'd seen being sold in some comic stores. Now those were cool. ]

[A slight shake of his head.]

SD is "super-deformed." [He holds up the box to show the picture on the front.] It's made to look cutesy, so the head is huge.

Oh. [ He kind of chuckles at the meaning. ] Yeah, I guess it is cute. Is it supposed to be easier to make than the larger ones?

[Minato brought over the two other models for Souji's collection. He sat down at the table with Souji.]

Mn. I know you were being careful. Did you need help?

Oh no!

Nurse, we need 2CCs of gorilla glue, stat!

[ but soon enough she giggles, and leans in toward the camera. ]

What are ya makin'?

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Bet you can put it back together so it's good as new.

[Nobody who didn't see the broadcast would even know-- and hell, it's unlikely anyone's gonna remember it.]

You always were real good with these things. Have you made a lot of 'em here?

There are fewer pieces, so it might be. It's not any sturdier than the larger ones, though.

[Souji makes room for him at the table.]

Will you snap the rest of the pieces out of the frame?

[Souji holds up the panel of pieces he just broke a piece off of.]

[Souji smiles a little and holds up his little bottle of super glue. At least he was prepared for this kind of thing.]

It's a model robot. A cutesy one.

[That's why its head is HUGE.]

A few. I made other kinds of models from scratch. I though I should expand a little.

Tough break, mate. ...Or, well. I suppose it wasn't tough at all, actually.

[Minato could do that. He would get right on that and then scooted over so he was sitting right next to Souji.

Then he smiled at him and poked him in his side. Hm. Hmmmm.]

Betcha it's not as cute as Mettaton!

[He's curious because.. well, you know how curiosity is. You could say it's the source of many of Crowley's problems.

He's also curious because this kid is one of very few people who know more about him than he'd like, and as such, he's keeping closer tabs on him than he would normally bother to keep on anyone.]

... What is that. A model kit?

Are you going to be able to fix that? [ It would be such a waste otherwise. ]
