I take it the vague message we received from a rodent today is the type of unhelpful missive people have warned me lead to events?

How does one typically prepare themselves when you've no idea what's about to happen?

Yes, but it's almost impossible to tell what, exactly, it will be until the event begins.

I've attempted to guess what it was before, but I tend to get it wrong...

[Like the time he thought the space event was going to be dealing with time travel, or how he mistook the Hogwarts message as an omen of doom.]

For this event, I'm assuming we might end up being drawn into holes in the wall.

I'm sorry, but 'drawn into holes?' That sounds ridiculous.

Truth is, there's little you can do to prepare. Unless whoever's world is beyond this recognizes things and comes forward, we have no way of knowing. Even if they do, there's few ways to prepare.

Maybe be sure you're armed. Prepare canned foods and such. Make sure you have a survival bag prepared. About all you can do.

Sometimes the warnings help more than others.

It's hard to know how to prepare. Gathering supplies can help, because the closets sometimes stop working. But sometimes, that does no good because all of Wonderland changes, too.

Expect the worst. It probably won't be that bad, but you never know.

Well, we had zombies already last month, so it probably won't be that?

It's hard to. Sometimes you change mentally too.

Such as the recent ski lodge, correct? In that scenario, it didn't truly seem as if we were in much danger provided we stayed indoors. But, I gather it's not always that hospitable.

It's easier to expect the worst than it is to assume a prison is going to do anything pleasant. And if it does, then it can be a nice happy surprise for us all.

My first real event, I believe, was a soft one: the ski lodge. So, I feel a bit on edge with anticipation.

Some events make you think you're someone else or alter parts of your personality.

More or less how it usually works. At any rate, if you do that, you'll be prepared when everything goes to hell. Either literally or figuratively.

I wish I had better advice, but given that what Wonderland throws at us can come from any world connected to any of us? I don't know if we can ever truly prepare.

A few so far, not as much as others. Most of them though? Weapons come in handy. So does having supplies. Cold canned food isn't the best, but if you survive that's all that matters.

Right. But during that one, it still gave us food and items we needed. Sometimes we don't even get that much.
