So... This is an event, right? Everyone's acting so weird, and that lady that showed up before...

[Yousuke's been having a particularly hard time with this one. He has memories, years worth of memories here in the mansion that suddenly feel like they don't exactly line up, with what people have been telling him and the theories they've worked out. And yet what he knew before, memories of his world-- they had to be true. The emotions he had then and the emotions they caused now couldn't possibly be fake.]

[Terrible things had happened. Terrible things because he wasn't good enough. Strong enough.]

[He's acting completely different than usual. The normally cheerful, bold and pushy Yousuke has given way to a sullen and shifty-eyed individual. Depressed, and unsure, like he can't even trust the words coming out of his own mouth.]

[At Emma's suggestion, Souji started guarding the eighth floor hallway around the entrance to the diner. Which was easy enough at first. He just kind of hung out outside the door or near the stairs and helped anyone who needed it.

By the third day of the event, he's managed to hold off at least one hell hound--casting fire spells in rapid succession for several minutes straight is kind of like an explosion--much to the detriment of the hallway.

After that encounter, he's pretty heavily drained. He's got a few more spells in him, but not many, and he's pretty sure he can hear something crashing around down the corridor, coming haphazardly in his direction.]

See, she has this Materia - a tiny little ball of glowy magic, courtesy of her mother - and she's managed to lose it.

There's no telling where the thing is. Usually, she tucks it up tightly in her ribbon, but recently she's been pretty distracted with the arrival of some of her favorite people, and maybe she's let her routine slide just the tiniest bit.

Whatever the reason, it's now gone and after she's turned her room upside down in her search, she figures she'll put out a message on the network in case anyone's found it.

[The post starts out as a video. Yousuke just looks... Surprised. He runs a hand through his hair.]

Holy shit, this many?

Looks like we really need to start on that pamphlet...

[He shakes his head and turns off the feed, switching instead to text.]

A couple days ago I was talking with someone about the mirrors, just passing on information, and it sorta made me realize, there a lot of stuff us, uh, established residents know that newbies don't. Things about how the mansion works, and why, the residents, the mirrors, things that've happened in the past that were important. Sometimes it takes a really long time for them to figure that out. And it could end up being important, knowing the crap that goes down around here.

I know that usually people get helped by others when they first get here, but it's easy to forget stuff and they still might not get the whole story. So I was thinking, maybe we could work out some kind of pamphlet to hand out to newbies, or a whole shebang we can post somewhere where anyone could read it whenever they wanted.

Since we're getting this crazy amount of new guys in this time around, I thought about it again. It's just that-- well, I'm no good at writing and organizing and that sort of thing. But if a couple of us work together, it could totally get done.

So, who out there's good with details and nitty gritty like that? I've been here long enough that I can provide the information. Even just the basics of daily life around here could be helpful to anyone that's just gotten here.

And, uh, welcome to all the newcomers. Usually we don't get such huge groups all at once. Don't trample each other on your way in.

So, she becomes understandably nervous.

Turning back to the strange mansion, she starts a slow trek toward it, reaching for her PHS. She intends to contact one of her friends, except it's not her PHS but a phone she doesn't recognize.
