005 💀 video
[This is one harried-looking Ryuji who turns the video function on. A grey, skull-shaped mask, temporarily removed from his face, rests on his hair, and a crimson scarf peeks out from the upturned collar of a leather jacket--unique fashion choices some might recognize if they've seen him during events requiring physical altercations.]
Uh-- sorry, I'm pretty sure now that damn grinnin' cat was talkin' about one of my memories. Ain't a perfect match, but... yeah, pretty sure.
[Just what he didn't need. He sighs.]
If you're mindin' your own business and suddenly you're someplace you don't recognize, watch yourselves. It's not just this place screwin' around with how the mansion looks, they're... they're real places inside people. Palaces. And Palaces make Wonderland look tame. You remember that crazy bathhouse? That was definitely a Palace or I'll eat my gloves.
[He was never very good at explaining the way the Metaverse works, partly because he'd never fully understood the science behind it. But as the only phantom thief left in residence, it falls on him to try.]
Listen. This part's important. I dunno why, but if you see someone actin' out of character inside one, they're not Sh-- [Ugh, how to put this in a way newbs will get...] They're not doin' what they're supposed to be doin'. The event's changed that part. I think they actually are our friends, just... just brainwashed. Whatever you do, don't hurt 'em or you might hurt the real thing. They might try to hurt you, but they ain't thinkin' straight!
