[ A lot has happened the last few weeks. Sure, the dusting of a large portion of the populace, the disappearance of the White Queen, and the freaking Jabberwocky are all weighing heavily on Julia's mind. She's trying to make sense of it. Everyone is. And they are all having just about as much luck as anyone would expect from a bunch of people living in a world shaped around a fictional fever dream.
So she's dealing with it, which means, sometimes, not dealing with it at all. This is one of those times. When the feed starts, Julia is in the kitchen, her mass of curls tied back in a ponytail and her apron covered with flecks of flour and sugar. ]
I've tried three different cake recipes I found in the library and each one has come out inedible. Would anyone like to take some time off from the reality of this Hellhole and teach me how to make something guests might be able to stomach at my wedding?
