[action] oh Manchester
[Crowley is in the bar and he is bitch-slapped drunk. He is ragingly drunk. He is drunker than the entire Roman Empire at a Saturnalia celebration. He is almost as drunk as he was after that whole Spanish Inquisition business. He is just so drunk okok.]
[He has his head on the bar and is sort of gurgling, twelve empty bottles of single-malt scotch nearby, and fortunately for him he can't even hear his Shadow yammering on.]
"Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:10. It is a tragedy and a shame that we have Fallen so low.
Ggglllff.
Really, I don't see why it's so difficult to accept, considering what you were. Somewhere in that little black heart of yours the Holy Spirit still lives, and God's Love still burns.
[Crowley rolls his head to the other side. Or he tries to. He gives up halfway and ends up with his face mashed against the bar.]
Fbbll.
But I know you don't have it in you to ask Him for forgiveness for your multitudinous sins. [The Shadow shakes its head sadly.] A shame. Truly, truly a shame. Perhaps the only recourse at this point is a good smiting.
[Crowley blows a raspberry.]
