[How are you doing, Wonderland? Good? Okay-ish? Wonderful! The would-be duplicate Alice is currently pacing about her room which is a nervous tick she developed long, long ago. She likes a confide space, ironically, so a room of her own is fantastic. And spacious compared to her last. That is, if anyone can ignore the fact that she's actually not the most tidy person around.

Alice has done away with her previous blood-stained (or soaked, rather) blue pinafore dress, her trademark appearance. All that's left for her is a very Victorian nightgown, that seems almost scandalous to be in without any sort of robe, but Alice can only do with what she's has for now. Sadly, it's been something more than she's had in years, too.

She tends to be very restless when worked up and stressed. It's not even the walkers from beforehand, it's much more simpler than that.]

I very much would like if I had something other than what I have to barter with those vendors outside of the mansion. I was considerably lucky to convince at least one woman to give me what I have now.

Why would they require a currency- no, this is the land of nonsense and the inconsistent. I shouldn't ask such things. Perhaps if it's not too bold to ask... may I have assistance finding better garments?

[Alice pretty much plops her dress out of her hands, grateful that the blood is dried.]

After that I am not sure what else to do.

I'm not sure she exists. I haven't seen hide nor hair of her. Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts, Dormouse, sure. Story seems to be missing a few characters.

Bill McGill, the gryphon, mockturtle, and even the white queen's court! It may not be the Wonderland I know, but the last I saw of her, she was beheaded by the queen's orders and her head was displayed on her castle.

That's...a bit more violent than I remember... [Of course it is. Nothing is ever simple.] Well, there's the Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen...no white queen that I've seen.

Mm, I like being able to fit through the doors. [He could have made some kind of dirty joke about that, but she seems like a kid. Greed does occasionally have some sense of appropriateness.]

That isn't right. The Red and White queen have always had their courts as well.

There's a mad duchess, but I'm not sure whose side she's on.

[Good thing, too, the reaction could have been ugly. Alice simply blows her hair as she lets out an exasperated sigh.]

I liked it better when Wonderland was predictable.

[Then again, Alice is a very cynical girl.]

The Duchess? So that must mean her house is swamped with pepper again.

For a woman who beat her own son because she was convinced that he was sneezing just to irritate her, I wonder what sort of force will make her get rid of that blasted pepper mill. Well, whatever it may be, it may be in your best interest to avoid her. She has a temper, but she is quite mad.

[A moment's pause, then:]

How long've you been here, kid?

I am not a child.

[Alice looks a little crossed by the "kid" comment, but she rolls pass it.]

As I said, it is not the Wonderland I know, but it is also not the first time I've been here.

Considering she's the one who caused our little root problem awhile back, I think I'll take that advice to heart.

[Hey, if you say so. Greed's more interested in the whole "not the one I know" thing, anyway, because that sounds like what's going on with him.]

Well-- Like I said, it's just covered.

[That's when he's reminded of what Katniss had told him, that he should let people see his face because it's hard to trust a helmet. It's that thought and this girl's curiosity that has him using his free hand to carefully tug his helmet off, revealing his pale complexion, sharp features, blue-grey eyes, and brown hair.]

The visor just prevents people from getting a look inside. [He points to the gold sheen of glass on the helmet before setting it aside.] No one can see in, but I can see out of it.

Perhaps this may sound sour, but you ought to be grateful for the most part it seems to have moments of calm. It can be much more worse.

[He can walk around suited for Alice cares, it's fascinating. And yes, he still reminds her of a turtle.

This clearly pleases Alice. Some things really do never change in the span of eleven years.]

Why is that? Are you hiding from others? Are you in some sort of trouble?

Some roots took over the Mirror side, then came through to this side and sort of...infected people with their mirrors. It wasn't particularly pleasant.
