[video] disney demons
[Crowley is near a duck pond when the feed opens, complete with neon colored ducks paddling about in the background.]
Right, so, it seems the angel has gone missing again, like last time. He came back before, so I'm not particularly worried. [HA.] In any case, I figured that those of you who know him should know. Try to enjoy your time without the stuffier of our two librarians to the fullest.
Though I would actually say that Aziraphale's luck is incredible. Him missing out on an event and that. Although, I haven't yet figured out what this event entails yet...
[He trails off and looks thoughtfully at the ducks, who look expectantly back at him. He's silent for a moment, watching the ducks and fidgeting with something in his hand. Then he sighs.]
What's the matter with me? You'd think a demon would learn.
[Music starts to filter in from nowhere, soft strings at first.]
If there's a prize for rotten judgment,
I guess I've already won that
No angel is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history, been there, done that.
[The music gets more upbeat and then the ducks get up out of the pond and start singing. In human voices. They are also dancing.]
Whod'ya think you're kidding?
He's the Earth and Heaven to you
[Crowley makes a disgusted face.]
Try to keep it hidden
Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, ya can't conceal it
We know how you feel
And who you're thinking of.
[Crowley starts walking away but the ducks follow.]
No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no.
[Ducks,]
You swoon, you sigh
Why deny it? Oh-oh!
[Crowley,]
It's too cliche
I won't say I'm in love.
[There's some shoo-da-wooping from the ducks as they continue to follow Crowley toward the gardens.]
I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming get a grip, girl
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
Ohhh-whoooaaaaaa
[The ducks join in again.]
You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feelin'
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When you gonna own up
That ya got, got, got it bad!
[Crowley spins around a rosebush.]
Whoooaaaaa, no chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no.
[Ducks,]
Give up, give in
Check the grin, you're in love!
[Crowley,]
This scene won't play,
I won't say I'm in love.
[Ducks,]
You're doin' flips, read our lips
You're in love!
[And then the song reaches a crescendo as Crowley and the ducks try to sing over each other and Crowley plucks a rose and keeps dancing.]
You're way off base
I won't say it
(He won't say he's in love)
Get off my case,
I won't say it
(Girl don't be proud)
(It's okay, you're in love)
[And then the song quiets and Crowley smiles faintly.]
Ohhh-whooooaaaa, at least out loud...
I won't say I'm in love.
[The song ends. After a moment, Crowley freezes. He stares at the ducks. The ducks stare at him. One of them quacks.]
[Then abruptly Crowley's sunglasses and the rose he's holding burst into flame and the feed cuts out.]
[ooc: for your listening pleasure]
