[In Dipper's world magic tends to create problems and quick wits and creative thinking solve them.] Which makes sense for a world that's literally fairy tales, I guess. I'm still pretty willing to bet we won't suddenly come across the Deus Ex Machina spell. If there are answers, they'll come from thoughtful deductions and being smart enough to find the patterns in all the random weirdness.
