[ Lydia hit the nail on the head there. No matter how bad things had gotten, no matter how much it had spun out of control, Steve and Bucky had weathered it all together. If anything, it's proved to Steve that he can handle whatever the world throws at him if Bucky is there.

Which he won't be, given his decision to go back into cryosleep, but that's something that Steve has to accept and deal with. It's a non-issue here in Wonderland, though he knows Bucky is still going to be concerned about his triggers.

It's fine, though. No one here knows the words, or would have any reason to speak them.

Steve heads over to the edge of the roof and takes a seat there, gesturing for Lydia to join him. ] He was both better and worse than I thought he'd be. I mean, he'd remembered a lot, but... there was still some conditioning in his mind from HYDRA, trigger words that someone tried to take advantage of.

[ And it had only made the task of proving his innocence that much harder. ]
