Back home usually our parents are the ones running things, so burning down the kitchen is not quite as frequent. Except that one year we tried to surprise them and got banned from the kitchen entirely for a month. Which wasn't exactly an in trouble thing. They had to replace the oven.

But someone makes them every year.
