I thought I was pretty used to the unusual, too--my city can get pretty weird--but then I woke up in actual Wonderland, and I had to reevaluate some of my definitions.

I'm afraid I don't have a lot of advice on that. It took me a little time, and meeting people I knew from my home but who didn't know me, to help it sink in that I'm not exactly in Kansas anymore.
