[The feed clicks on to show a woman in her late twenties, possibly early thirties. And she does not look pleased. If looks could kill, well, everybody viewing the broadcast would definitely be dead.
Well, that's what she's trying to convey, at least. The half dried tear tracks running down either side of her face tell another story. When she speaks, she sounds tired and worn out.]
I'd thought I'd seen the last of strange lands when I left Neverland. It appears I was mistaken. [A beat.] Though I have no doubt about the fact that this land is just as irritating as Wonderland and Neverland were. They always are.
[There's an eye roll in her words, even if she doesn't actually do one.]
I won't bother asking how I got here, [She has a pretty good idea of that already, even if it's completely wrong.] I'd just like to know where I ended up.
[Her hand hovers over the phone, as if she's debating whether to say anything else. Eventually it clicks off without another word.]

[He's noticed that some of the others here are faster than him at responding to new people, but all the same, he wants to help. There's a momentary pause in which he glances over what he can see of her, then Wash continues.]
You've been here before? [Wait. There's probably a better question he could be asking here.] ...Are you okay?
video;
[And it certainly wasn't as nice as this. The CGI was terrible, for one. Though she set part of it one fire, that was nice.
Even if he got in late, she still silently appreciates the concern.]
Though I'm quickly learning that I've been to this Wonderland before, too. [She hesitates on answering the other question.] ...Yes. Better now, thank you.
video;
[Sort of. Not really. But Wonderland doesn't makes sense, so whatever, he'll go with it.]
That sounds really confusing, though. You've been to a Wonderland, but you've also been to this Wonderland before? And you don't remember...? [Sort of guessing on that one, but if she's just learning about it now, that's at least the way it comes across.
At this point he's just pestering her with questions because this whole situation is curious, but he hears that she's doing better now. To show this, he nods, glad to hear it because...well, she didn't seem to be doing so well there at first.]
video;
[It's all very confusing to her, too. Realm jumping isn't unheard of, of course. It's just incredibly hard, and she's never heard of alternate versions of realms before.]
From what I've been told, when people leave Wonderland, they aren't allowed to remember their time here. [Honestly, if she was the type she'd massaging her temples. Queen of Hearts aside, it appears that the other universal constant of Wonderland is that it's the most confusing thing ever.] I have no reason to doubt the people who told me I'd been here before, as confusing as it sounds.
video;
[It comes out a little sarcastically, but the more he actually thinks about it, the more likely he realizes it is. Ugh, is it ever tempting to hold his head while he tries to figure it all out. It's just all a little much. What if there are an infinite number of Wonderlands that exist????]
Yeah, and I doubt that anyone here has any reason to lie about it, anyway. I'd believe them too, honestly. It probably shouldn't surprise anyone that Wonderland makes you forget everything the moment you finally get out. [Scoff.] It kind of figures, really. The place is meant to be ridiculous and confusing.
video;
[An infinite number of Wonderlands, an infinite number of Queen of Hearts. The very thought of it is enough to cause a permanent migraine.
She can only hope that it isn't true. The universe wouldn't be that cruel, surely.]
I'm sure someone would find a reason to lie. Simply to entertain themselves over a new arrival worrying about anything they may have possibly done that they can't remember. [She. Kind of is. But nobody's accused her of killing anybody, so it can't have been that bad.] But you'd know the people here better than I would, if you've been here longer.
video;
[Grimacing, he shakes his head like that might rid him of the thought. But it's a tough one to get rid of once it's there, not to mention absolutely dizzying.
If the universe is cruel enough to have even two Wonderlands, however, one of which is trapping them all here now, who can say that there aren't an infinite number more?]
Well-- Good point, I guess. But the people I've met so far have been nice and helpful. [He shrugs weakly.] Then again, I still haven't met everyone, so I suppose there could be someone around here like that. In general, though, most of them seem to care about everyone else, given we're all stuck in this mess together.
video;
There's always going to be someone who would cause chaos, at the very least it pays to be aware of the possibilities.
[Admittedly it's kind of a weird thing to talk about, even in the context of Regina being someone who left and came back.]
Yes, I've heard about the things Wonderland throws at us. Working together to survive is in everyone's interest, even if some of those people aren't what they seem.
[A pause.]
I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. I'm Regina.
video;
[Pursing his lips now, he has to wonder about the people he's met so far, if any of them are actually what they seemed. He'd thought they were all pretty genuine... They probably really were. Probably. He thinks so. ...Mostly?]
Oh, yeah! That's my fault, sorry. I'm Agent Washington, but you can just call me Wash. Most people do. Nice to meet you, though.
[It's been an enlightening conversation, to say the least.]
video;
[And is that type of person. Sometimes. Really, it changes every week. But she accepts his name with a nod.]
Wash, then. Lovely to meet you, even considering the circumstances.
video;
[For which she gets a sympathetic look. Can't be very nice to not meet good people often. But he'll toss in a polite nod as well, because as far as he can tell, it's been nice to meet her, too.]
video;
[Sympathy? How unusual. But not unwelcome.]
The key is not letting yourself become one of them.
video;
Sounds like that might be tough, if you're around it all the time. [Frowning slightly, he tips his head in thought.] An important thing to strive for, of course, but... I wouldn't want to be in a position where it becomes difficult to not become a manipulative person yourself.
