As the Dormouse said, there's an event this weekend - trick or treat for your lives, in the middle of summer! For several days! That sounds fun and not at all exhausting or nerve-wracking for the people involved, right?

Anyway, here is how trick-or-treating will work:

• The Summerween Trickster is expecting EVERYONE to trick or treat. That means you, adults. No one is getting out of it by handing out candy.


• The closets will NOT be giving out candy. Sheesh, stop trying to cheat! You will, however, be able to get any Summerween costume you'd like from them.


• Every closed door in the mansion can be trick-or-treated at, even if it's a room that belongs to someone (get permission from the person first though). If done correctly, the door will open and a small amount of candy will be flung at you. The amount depends how many people you have with you and how good your costumes are.


• You HAVE to be in costume and you HAVE to say "Trick or Treat". If you don't, the doors will not give you candy. For the two Wonderland residents in Halloween costumes year-round, that means NEW costumes. Better costumes get you more candy and lazy costumes get you the bare minimum - one piece of loser candy. Anyone who thinks to dress up their pet gets bonus candy, but don't be surprised if the animals get sick of it after a while.


• Because it's trick OR treat, there will be some tricks in the mix. Roughly 10% of the time when your character knocks on a door, they will be met with a trick instead of a treat. Generally these things will not be harmful and will mostly just be annoying while you're trying to trick-or-treat for your life. Examples of tricks might be things that obviously aren't candy (a can of sardines, a rock, toothbrushes, etc) or pranks (stink bombs, a flock of bats, anything that might jump out and spook you) but we're mostly leaving it up to you - you guys get the idea. Everyone has an equal chance of getting tricked, no matter how good or bad their costume is.


• If the Summerween Trickster catches someone not participating, it counts as a mansion death. They'll get killed and eaten, consumed by the loser candy monster like the loser they are for not celebrating Summerween.

Alright, I think that about covers it, but there will be a FAQ as always for any other questions you guys have! And as usual this is a plot post! What are your characters dressing up as? Dipper will be dressed as REDACTED with Mabel and they'll probably make an announcement of some kind because THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. He'll also be taking the opportunity to get in contact with the child army he's building because MAN HE NEEDS TO TAKE DOWN THAT PORTAL. And also definitely doing some group trick or treating with any friends who want to tag along.

Beatrice is like WHAT'S A HALLOWEEN?? but Wirt's gonna explain it to her. I am not totally sure what she'll dress up as except not a bird. Probably will make Wirt help her pick.

Bubblegum is definitely gonna dress up though again idk as what yet. It'll be pretty intricate cause she does NOTHING halfway and probably something really obscure and sciencey that no one will get except the other nerds.

Beatrice and Bubblegum definitely aren't getting as much action as Dipper since it's his event, but LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT THINGS! WHOOO. SUMMERWEEN.

Alphys is going to be SO DOWN. She doesn't really know what a Halloween is but once it gets explained she's going to want to get an entire Mew Mew cosplay group. For the canonblind, Alphys' favorite anime is a show called Mew Mew Kissy Cutie, pretty heavily implied to be a knockoff of Tokyo Mew Mew, so think very 90's magical girl. She will def be dressing up as Mew Mew and getting her cat (also named Mew Mew lmao) to be their magical kitty companion. She'll probably be getting an open post about trying to get the cosplay group together and assigning people characters and whatnot. So if you're trying to get your character in a frilly dress, here's the opportunity. She'll also be pretty insistent on getting cosplay pictures and be asking around for photographers.

Shepard is gonna hear about it, think it's kind of odd for a bit, but if it comes to life or death, she's not gonna go down to something so objectively dumb. I haven't decided on her outfit yet but I'm toying with the idea of getting supplies to make her look like an Asari for a day or two because that would just be hilarious. Either that or she might wear some fancy dress and be a movie star or a space diva or something. She's just ridiculous enough. Probably no open post for her on this one but she'll be around!

SAM hates halloween and will therefore be not doing anything at first. once he hears that people are dying from it, though, he'll suck it up and get a costume. he'll be going door to door and low key also looking for the summerween trickster trying to kill him like any good hunter would. he's seen a lot of halloween shit, okay.

ELLIE is all about this, having heard about it before from the pines twins. she'll first dress up as the main lady badass from her favorite comic, savage starlight, but will soon realize that wearing a one-piece jumpsuit is kind of uncomfortable. soon after, she'll be getting a new outfit and will stick to that one. she's a good trick-or-treater and will be getting tons of candy (some of which may be nicked from others).

ROBYN has no idea what halloween, or summerween, is! once someone informs her, she'll be excited about the idea, but will have no idea what to dress up as. lydia is going to solve this problem by providing her with a costume. oren the mabari will also be getting a costume, maybe matching, maybe not. she'll likely be traveling with others through the halls and actually have a good time for once. but, also, why are all of these treats so incredibly sweet and gross?? y'all have weird tastes.

Elizabeth is so down for this! She will need explanations on both Summerween and trick or treating (it wasn't really a Halloween custom until the '20s), and she's going to dress as one of her favourite book characters, Cosette from Les Misérables! She'd be especially excited about helping kids get more candy than getting it for her own sake, but if she comes across the Trickster she'll give him a piece of her mind for putting such a morbid price on something that would otherwise be so fun.

Arya will also need things explaining to her, but she will be thrilled about the whole thing and wish that all the events were like this. She's going to be dressed as Visenya Targaryen, a badass warrior queen from her own world. With the long blond hair and House Targaryen sigil, it's plausible she could be mistaken for a certain other Targaryen (if that's okay Kai). The only thing that will burst her bubble is if the Trickster kills one of her close CR - then she'll be entirely focused on trying to kill him in return, though of course she'll fail miserably there.

Alex will be doing the bare, bare minimum to participate, because he's a butt but he also doesn't wanna die. He's gonna dress as some kind of stupidly generic thing like a zombie or maybe a skeleton if he's feeling particularly dickish toward the Undertale cast. Anyone who wants to tag along can, and he might begrudgingly get in the spirit, even!

Frisk will be doing a twinsie costume with Chara, of course! So far what Snap and I have agreed upon is an angel-and-demon duo, complete with tiny horns and halos. It'll be adorable and these kids are out to have fun and trick-or-treat with a vengeance.

cordelia has halloween costume trauma, so on the off-chance she gets turned into what she dresses as, she's opting to go the superhero route and will be going as wonder woman. to that end, she's also making angel dress up as batman, and she'll be pretty glued to his side. if there's any way to simultaneously investigate whatever this trickster thing is in hopes of someone killing it, she'd be willing to help.

Since Sans hates putting effort into things, he's gonna need a lot of help, since his idea of a costume will basically just be a funny hat or something. He'll probably get more into the spirit of things once he sees that the kids are having fun, but he's also gonna get worn out really quickly, so he's gonna need encouragement to keep going.

RICK will be so frustrated that he has to put up with this shit while he's got important portal shit to deal with, but whatever he'll do it. He'll probably dress up as Doc Brown or something and complain to everyone he sees because who the fuck out Halloween in the middle of summer?

Zelena is going as the Evil Queen from Snow White. Normally, she wouldn't participate, but she likes being alive. She also likes the fact that she has the chance to make a mockery of her sister, so there's that too. Honestly, she'll probably do her best to act like the threat of death isn't hanging over everyone's heads if they don't participate.

Jolyne's closet is going to hand her this. Which she'll wear because, having lived in America for a while, she knows she dodged some major bullets in terms of awful Halloween costumes here. She'd love to try and fight the Trickster, but since that's not an option, she'll just go along with things in the hopes that nobody dies and things don't go as badly as they could.

Freya will be getting her sexy witch on and doing her trick-or-treating duty, teaming up with Cami for the most part to gather up all the candy they can. Once that's done, they will drop off their spoils and make their way back to the bar for candy flavored shots to keep up the "spirit of the holiday."

Okay, so trick-or-treating was starting to become a thing back in Steve's day, but it wasn't super widespread and even if he might have been aware of it, I doubt he ever participated for... a number of reasons. So in a way, having the chance to do it now would be kind of exciting! Steve suffers from having to grow up way too fast, so he'll secretly be kind of glad to have the chance to be a kid again.

That being said, the fact that people die if they don't do it is obviously going to bother him, but he'll definitely be participating. He has no interest in dying again any time soon, thanks.

I'm going to be kind of mean and make it that the closet will only give him sexy firefighter costumes, because I think everyone in Wonderland deserves to see Steve wearing that. (And knowing him, he'll magically pull it off somehow.)

Also, Steve would not think to dress up his dog, Dodger, but someone should convince him to do it so they can match.

Henry can't quite break out of super hero things no matter what he says, so he's actually going to dress as his grandpa Charming in knight mode. Thanks, closet! If any thing else is available plot wise with the children of the mansion, I'd love to take part.

Jane will not be able to get anything out of her closet other than a Lady Sif costume, but she'll be keeping all of her visible tattoos...visible, so that the MCU cast will know that's not Lady Sif, if they don't know already. OR MAYBE IT IS LADY SIF IN TATTOO COSTUME u just don't know.

Michonne loves cats so much so much to her chagrin she will only be getting Cat Woman costumes. The closet will give her an option between the Michelle Pfieffer, Anne Hathaway, and Halle Berry versions. She never had the chance to see the newest version, and after a lot of hemming and hawing and going back and forth (me, not Michonne) I've settled on her picking the Halle Berry version of the costume. LOOK I KNOW IT'S NOT THE BEST PORTRAYAL. But it's the one that pushes Michonne the most out of her comfort zone, and she just can't wear leather for the duration, okay? She can't.

Bucky is in pretty much the same boat as Steve. Trick or treating was a newer thing but not something they'd have probably participated in, but he'd have enjoyed it as a kid, especially dressing up and goofing off. Now he can make up for that, but only I'm not very nice and he's going to wear this. Does someone need searched? Have they been bad? Haha. I'll quit now.

On a slightly more serious note, I'm still holding off on getting Bucky's arm fixed because I want to do it through CR. So for the event he's going to ask the closet for a prosthetic, meaning it'll look and work like a normal hand, only it'll feel fake. Lmao.

It'd be awesome to do something where someone could tell it wasn't real to drum up finding someone to build him a new one. I'm open to any kind of plotting. Knocking on doors with people, trying to sneak up on the monster to get a look, shenanigans with the costumes. Come at me.

Cami will be blessed with only sexy vampire outfits from her closet, thanks Wonderland. Her current plans are to trick or treat with Freya before ideally hitting the bar for Summerween drinks. It totally counts as celebrating, right? They're going to end up with a joint log for shennanigans.

Neal will unhappily be dressed as his deranged grandfather, known to most as Peter Pan. There will be family trick or treating, and lots of not wanting to talk about what the closet has inflicted on him because neither of mine thought of anything other than "a halloween costume" and left themselves to Wonderland's mercy.

Mettaton is probably going to be hanging out mostly with the Undertale cast during this event (and, more specifically, Alphys, since she's trying to round up people for her little group) and is definitely going to dress up, though what as, I'm not sure yet. Something glamorous and/or flashy, as per his style.

However, as usual, Mettaton is a friendly and outgoing guy, so if anyone wants to plot with me about our characters meeting and/or hanging out, I am 100% up for it! He is going to be trick-or-treating, so the option is there.

Bill won't think he's even part of festivities at the start but after the Trickster proves he can be affected (I donno, maybe it'll lick him or something?? |D) He'll add his own special flavor to Summerween.
