Probably not, but they do now!

As the Dormouse said, there's an event this weekend - trick or treat for your lives, in the middle of summer! For several days! That sounds fun and not at all exhausting or nerve-wracking for the people involved, right?

Anyway, here is how trick-or-treating will work:

• The Summerween Trickster is expecting EVERYONE to trick or treat. That means you, adults. No one is getting out of it by handing out candy.


• The closets will NOT be giving out candy. Sheesh, stop trying to cheat! You will, however, be able to get any Summerween costume you'd like from them.


• Every closed door in the mansion can be trick-or-treated at, even if it's a room that belongs to someone (get permission from the person first though). If done correctly, the door will open and a small amount of candy will be flung at you. The amount depends how many people you have with you and how good your costumes are.


• You HAVE to be in costume and you HAVE to say "Trick or Treat". If you don't, the doors will not give you candy. For the two Wonderland residents in Halloween costumes year-round, that means NEW costumes. Better costumes get you more candy and lazy costumes get you the bare minimum - one piece of loser candy. Anyone who thinks to dress up their pet gets bonus candy, but don't be surprised if the animals get sick of it after a while.


• Because it's trick OR treat, there will be some tricks in the mix. Roughly 10% of the time when your character knocks on a door, they will be met with a trick instead of a treat. Generally these things will not be harmful and will mostly just be annoying while you're trying to trick-or-treat for your life. Examples of tricks might be things that obviously aren't candy (a can of sardines, a rock, toothbrushes, etc) or pranks (stink bombs, a flock of bats, anything that might jump out and spook you) but we're mostly leaving it up to you - you guys get the idea. Everyone has an equal chance of getting tricked, no matter how good or bad their costume is.


• If the Summerween Trickster catches someone not participating, it counts as a mansion death. They'll get killed and eaten, consumed by the loser candy monster like the loser they are for not celebrating Summerween.

Alright, I think that about covers it, but there will be a FAQ as always for any other questions you guys have! And as usual this is a plot post! What are your characters dressing up as? Are they going to get in the spirit of things, or are they going to be killed for refusing to participate? Have fun, and Happy Summerween!

HOWDY KIDS, ITS TRIANGLE TIME-
As decreed by the mods, Bill won't be using a vessel this round NOR will he be exempt from participation. So what do you do when you have to celebrate Summerween but can't TOUCH the REAL WORLD? You focus on the THE TRICKS-- SORRY FOLKS, Bill is going to be helping the trickster.
Bill won't think he's even part of festivities at the start but after the Trickster proves he can be affected (I donno, maybe it'll lick him or something?? |D) He'll add his own special flavor to Summerween.

- What's that on your screen- oh- ITS A JUMPSCARE
- Hope you weren't thinking of taking a NAP-- your dreams won't be pleasant. Summerween stops for no one!
- Hiding from the Trickster? Sure would be a SHAME if your COMMUNICATOR started make loud noises in your pocket.
-Or if hes feeling particularly malicious perhaps he'll goad you into eating your candy.

DEAL OR NO DEAL
BUUUUUT when Bill isn't trying to trick people, he might be willing to help you out (hey, you missed more doors down this hall!/ I just saw someone get eaten around the corner, don't go that way ect) in exchange for a favor later (or just some good press, to make the Pines family paranoid)
This includes all of his time at Eway actually; so if you'd like Bill to solve a problem in exchange for letting him borrow your body for 24 hours at a later time (which we will always OOC plot beforehand) feel free to shoot me a PM or just request on my page and I'll see where we can fit something in.

 
POCKET POLYGON:
If Bill hates/likes/ or has shown any interest in you, I'd love to have him start just butting into conversations randomly. I don't necesarrily want to threadjack every convo, but it wouldn't be unnatural for him to just strike up a conversation while you're communicator is in your pocket, so feel free to just set up a scene walking somewhere and I'll have Bill pop in with unnecesarry banter. Just give a heads up so I know where to find it!

If you don't have CR with Bill yet, feel free to plot with him anyway, I'll also be working on an open log soon for after the event  is over if people want to meet Bill in his own territory.
