[Kiyotaka Ishimaru's sudden change of scenery was a surprise, to say the least. He went from being trapped in a school and forced to participate in a class trial, to suddenly being somewhere in the outside world again. Specifically, he's ended up perched on the branch of an orchard tree. After spending a few moments shocked over this sudden turn of events, he proceeds to wrack his brain wondering how and why this could have happened. What happened to the trial - did they figure out the killer? Are Bro and the rest of the class outside and alright, too?

He does find one potential clue on him: a small device that he's never seen before. Looking it over, it looks like some strange communication device! After fiddling with it for a moment, he manages to activate it. He stares intensely at the screen for a moment before he finally starts speaking.]

Hello!! Is this thing truly working? How incredible! Anyway... my name is Kiyotaka Ishimaru! I am a hardworking young student who believes in bold simplicity! I also bear the talent of being the Super High School Level Public Morals Committee Member! It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance! ...Er, the acquaintance of whoever may receive this message, of course!

[He stands as rigid and formally as ever atop the tree branch as he shouts into the device.]

Please bear with me, as there are a few things that I wish to ask about! First of all, can anyone tell me where I am right now? I do not recognize this area at all! Secondly, if any of my classmates can hear me, I would like you to speak up now! We must have accomplished something incredible... or even if anyone knows where I can find my classmates, I would greatly appreciate it!

...I believe that is all that is on my mind currently! Thank you for your time. I intend to do my best to figure out this situation!

[Action-wise, you can come across him in the tree or just find him later when he's exploring the mansion!]

[He's amassing his own Persona-l collection. Or just magnetically drawing in everyone else from Japan?]

I am afraid that my call has gone unanswered. Ah... Well, to be even more precise, I have managed to meet two other people who attend my school! But, none of them are from my class.

[But, he feels the need to try to assure this person that he'll be fine. Even without the classmates whom he'd gotten used to spending his days with - and his bro.]

It is alright! I will soldier onwards and keep alert for any signs of their presence!

You are correct! I may not have met them before, but the sense of familiarity that comes with them helps me to feel better at this trying time!

[Now he awkwardly tries to bow at the communicator.]

Well met, Souji-kun! Thank you for your offer of help! Several kind people have been answering questions of mine. Hmmm, hmmmmm... What else could I ask of you?!

[Souji inclines his head in response to that kind-of-bow.]

You don't have to ask anything right now, if you can't think of anything. I'll still be here if something comes up.

[He's been here so long, he doesn't really worry about going home anymore.]

[And now he straightens himself up as he continues to address Souji, while sounding genuinely impressed.]

You will? That is a very diligent gesture of you, Souji-kun! I certainly appreciate it!

But, if I cannot think of something, than this conversation could come to an abrupt end! Would that really be for the best?!

You have a point.

[In that case, maybe Souji should ask a question of his own.]

You're a Super High School Level Public Morals Committee Member? What does that mean exactly?

That's right... I can answer questions as well! You have brought a splendid possibility to the table, Souji-kun!

To answer your question, that is a title which reflects my talent. Through my own hard work and perseverance, I have managed to live up to the perfect image of a member of a school's public morals committee. And it was one the basis of that talent that Hope's Peak Academy accepted me to their fine institution!

So everyone at your school is a super high school level something?

[This is kind of fascinating. How did he not know about this if there are people from there here already?]

That is correct! [He explains with an innocent smile.] It is simply the way in which talent is honored by society. Hope's Peak Academy takes in those with talent and shapes us to act as beacons of hope for the world!

What will you do after you graduate?

[What kind of job does a Super High School Level Public Morals Committee Member do as an adult?]

My intention is figure that out as I work my way through my educational crusade! There are several options that I could consider so far. I could attempt to find a position in the school itself, or I could follow in my father's footsteps and become part of the police force! Or-

[He almost mentions going into politics. But it's tough for him to think of his grandfather and what he would have to face if he made that choice. So he just pauses for a moment before he abruptly continues.]

-Or that would be all that I have in mind so far!

[Souji nods along with all of that. That sounds reasonable.]

My uncle is a police detective. [And he is scary sometimes.] What does your dad do?

Your uncle sounds like a noble man! As for my father, he is a patrol officer with an unparalleled sense of justice! He does his best from his position.

[He is looking very sad - almost teary, even - as he talks about his father. He's been worried about him now that the killing game has started, after all.]

[That sadness isn't lost on Souji.]

Do you miss him?

[Maybe they aren't allowed much contact with family at his school...?]

[He's caught off guard by that question, and he gasps softly, before he looks away and speaks.]

Y-yes... I do.

[It hurts on multiple levels; being separated from his father while trapped in a murder school, wondering all this time when his father would lead the police force to come to their rescue... while, at the same time put down by the contents of the video he had been shown during the first motive.

And now, he's out of the school but still so far away from him...]

I'm sorry.

[Souji understands. Not about the murder school, but about being far away from people he's grown incredibly close to.]

I hope you can see him again soon.

[It is sad how wrong he is about that.]

[He puts on a braver face as he faces the feed again.]

There is no need to apologize! But... I thank you for that sentiment! I know that such a day will come. I cannot believe in any other outcome!

[It's the saddest.]

[Souji offers a small smile and a nod. Then he sobers.]

While you're here, nothing's going to happen at home. You'll go back to the moment you left, so you won't miss anything.

Really?! [Once again, he gives in to surprise.] So it is as if... time is standing still? I am glad that I am not keeping anyone waiting at home with my unexpected absence!

[Especially considering that he was last in the middle of a class trial. ~~But, in his case it would be better off if time did move without him so that he could miss out on the killing game~~.]

I know how you feel.

[A beat.]

Do you like hamburgers?

Hamburgers? [He sternly shakes his head.] Such a food is far too unorthodox for me! I prefer to avoid them whenever I can!

[Hmmm. That's a first.]

What do you like to eat? If you come by the diner on the eighth floor, I can make it for you.

Hahaha! How splendid! Thank you for your offer, Souji-kun. I did not know that you work at a diner! The types of food that I like... well, some of my favorites include miso soup, pickled veggies and rice balls! Sometimes I do mix it up with some Western food, but in those cases I tend to prefer fried eggs, toast and bananas! However, I would gladly try out any meal that has a high nutritional value!

I can make miso soup and onigiri.

[He can make more than that, but that sounds like the surest bet for the moment.]

Come up when you get down from that tree and I'll have it ready.
