[The recording is, presumably, accidental. Souji himself is mostly out of frame, although his hands are visible as he works on putting together a plastic model. The thing is half finished and he's popping the remaining pieces out of their plastic casing when there's a sharp but quiet snapping sound.

He hesitates, puts the piece down. Or rather, puts two pieces that should be one piece down.]

...Damn it.

[He sighs and goes about seeing if he can glue the broken plastic back together without the break being too obvious.]

[He's curious because.. well, you know how curiosity is. You could say it's the source of many of Crowley's problems.

He's also curious because this kid is one of very few people who know more about him than he'd like, and as such, he's keeping closer tabs on him than he would normally bother to keep on anyone.]

... What is that. A model kit?

[Despite the timing and the fact that he hadn't intended for anyone to see that at all, Souji's pleased that Crowley responded. He didn't scare him off then.]

Yeah. It's a gundam model. Spoiler: being smaller and cuter doesn't make it sturdier.

[He holds up the two pieces for the camera before getting some glue.]

[Lucky you, Souji, that Crowley is very hard to scare off. He's still unsettled, but you get used to that after spending several thousand years watching your back for errant pitchforks.]

I suppose everyone has to have a hobby.

[He's still watching, though.]

[A small smile.] I've got plenty of hobbies, but I guess none of them are really more exciting than this one.

Are you sure? Because I can think of a few things that might be more exciting.

[Both eyebrows go up briefly.]

Looks like you broke it.

I'm not a very exciting person.

[That is not true, Souji, you just have to apply yourself.]

I should be able to fix it. I've got some glue. [He raises his eyebrows back.] Unless you want to fix it for me.

[Crowley settles a long, silent stare on the boy, still and quiet, then he sighs and rolls his eyes, giving a small wave of one of his hand.

The damaged piece in Souji's hand is fixed, without a trace of it ever having been broken.]

Are you happy now?

[Souji actually laughs a little at that. Not something he does all that often.]

Thanks. It makes it less likely that Guan Yu will go into battle lopsided. That's no way to fight in the Three Kingdoms.

[He peers at the little model again.]

That's who that is? Hm. I don't really see the resemblance.

I don't blame you. This one is a chibi and a robot, so he doesn't really look like himself.

[He spends another moment or so looking a it, then shrugs.]

Looks more fun than he was, anyway.

I have a feeling anything that's supposed to be cute is more fun.

[The whole Three Kingdoms thing sounds pretty much anything but fun to him.]

Humans are strange like that.

[Honestly, have you seen how crazy they can go over a puppy?]

[Oh he's seen it. And has been known to do the same over kittens.]

Demons aren't?

Demons are strange, sure... but not like that.

[Kid, you don't want to see what most demons would do to a puppy.]

[As long as Crowley doesn't do those things...]

I probably don't want to know, right?

[Of course he does, he wants to know everything about everyone.]

[It's better if you don't think about what Crowley does.]

Let's put it this way. Even if you wanted to know, I don't want to tell you. I try not to think about other demons.
