Just why is zombie literature so abundant? I've never found the appeal of it, and yet apparently it's one of the more popular choices here.
( Not that literature really indicates what events they're getting but the literature surely has to be in that many worlds if the actual thing happens too, and there's been a few zombie type events -- both ones she's seen and missed )
Though it gives me that idea that perhaps now might be a good time to test some defences. I just need a volunteer. Not sure I can guarantee your safety though.
( You won't die! She hopes. Could be close )

- You were looking for a more interesting conversation before? I might have something.

...Anyway, what would we be volunteering for?
[ She's curious, but that doesn't mean her hand is up, yet. ]

[ Well, she can, but she's going with immortal or something versus zombie. Especially after the event. And she's for sure not offering to be shot in the only place that can kill her. ]
no subject
( Though she does get where it wouldn't be so helpful )

[ If that's all they're talking about here, then...why not? ]
I can help, then, if you still need volunteers.

[ And sure enough, five minutes later, Liv shows up, hands tucked into her back pockets. ]
I'm here to be experimented on, I guess.
[ Which is honestly not a phrase she ever thought she'd willingly say. ]

( Though it maybe also impresses her a little. It's all fun )

[ LOL. ]
Just try not to kill me?
[ Since she knows it's coming, she can control going full-zombie. It's been long enough that she has it down, and she isn't sure if that's good or bad, but at least she can. ]

( Helena disappears into the other room for a minute, bringing out two small weapons. They're gun shaped, but they don't look like conventional guns. Helena places one on the table in the room, examining the other for a few seconds )
They don't use bullets. They wouldn't really serve their purpose if their ammunition was focused on death.
( She points it at Liv, waiting for a signal that the woman's ready before firing it. What comes out instead is a burst of electricity, though whether it's powerful enough to stun her... The idea is based around the Tesla that she's familiar with, but it's not the same )

That's...really...effective.
no subject
( Either not strong enough, or not shocking enough to knock her out )
Are you alright?

Whatever's missing must be a hell of a thing, because I was definitely down a while. Someone could have cuffed me and I wouldn't have been able to move.

A previous weapon that I worked with would cause unconsciousness. Temporarily.

[ She says that glibly, not thinking she's actually personally disappointed Helena. ]
Still, it'll definitely come in handy as a stun gun.
no subject
( She's also getting slightly dangerous ideas )
I wonder how it might work out there, and if they can be stunned.

( She knows zero about zombies other than the brief few minutes that she's seen outside )
This should affect that functioning.
no subject
Shooting a zombie in the heart should make it stop functioning too, but it doesn't. Shoot one in the knee and it just starts crawling toward. Set it on fire and suddenly it's a shuffling torch until it turns to ash. Even if you cut off the head, it can still bite you. Only frying their brain or a direct head shot will keep it from functioning.
[ She almost feels apologetic saying so. She knows this isn't what Helena wants to hear, not by a long shot. ]
