Hello everyone! On Sunday, April 1, the first phase of a very special mod event will begin. Starting on 4/1 and lasting until the end of the event is announced, the Mansion, its grounds, and the rest of Wonderland will change. Unlike normal events, however, these changes are in ragged patches, a few of which might be familiar to some residents since they're based on old events. Most of them were too long ago for anyone currently residing in the Mansion to remember, though.
The changes will reflect both physical and atmospheric alterations for a given area. Be sure to look over the information behind the cut to see what is going to happen and where. We've tried to make it as comprehensive as possible, so it's a little tl;dr. Just bear with us!
Feel free to do any planning for this part of the event on this post. As always, there will be a Q&A thread for any questions. Other than that, enjoy the changes and look out for another mod post to announce some more developments in a few days! ♥

| Grounds: Area 1 | 2/6/2011 | Area 1, where the hedgemaze was, is a carnival complete with rickety rides, games to win prizes from, carnie food, a haunted house, music, and various other typical traveling carnival fare. Everything is run by masked figures, and none of them will speak or respond to the characters aside from doing their job, whether it’s running the ride you’re on or making you a doughboy. |
| Grounds: Area 2 | 4/10/2009 | Some Mansion residents might recognize Area 2 as a Quidditch field with it's triple goal rings at each end. Sitting at the edge of the field is a case with the four requisite balls and a rack with fourteen brooms. Anyone can use them within the boundary of Area 2, whether or not he or she is a wizard or witch. Outside the Area, though, the brooms are just brooms. Be careful! |
| Grounds: Area 3 | 6/18/2009 | Area 3 is made up of a portion of a quaint little town, with many white buildings with red roofs. It is an old-fashioned town, almost as if it were the setting of a fairy tale. Once entering this Area, characters may feel somewhat disinterested in leaving again unless given a good reason. |
| Grounds: Area 4 | 1/25/2007 | Area 4 has become a warzone with phantom sounds of fighting, gunfire and explosions, planes flying low overhead, and troops marching. The landscape is torn by explosives with shrapnel and rubble littering the ground and crisscrossed by trenches. |
| Grounds: Area 5 | 11/27/2011 | Area 5, making up grounds right around the Mansion, has transformed into a Japanese hotsprings and a small Japanese-style garden. |
| Grounds: Area 6 | 2/28/2010 | Area 6 is a North African sea of endless sand, scorching hot during the day and freezing cold at night. The sun is blinding and the only relief is a tent city that ends abruptly at one edge of the Area. |
| Grounds: Area 7 | 3/19/2011 | Area 7, where the dock is located, has turned into the streets of a polluted, dirty city. The permanent night of this Area is lit by garish neon signs covering the buildings, which have windows but no doors. The streets are full of litter and acrid puddles, and there is nothing growing. |
| Grounds: Area 8 | 2/10/2007 | Where the vendor stalls had been, Area 8, a Japanese festival has been set up. It's lined by rows of stands with cotton candy, candied apples, yakisoba, takoyaki, yakitori, fishing games, shooting games, you name it. The permanent night sky is colored at regular intervals by colorful fireworks. |
| Grounds: Area 9 | 11/28/2011 | The Chessboard Hills have turned into the rocky, reddened landscape of Mars. Hidden amove the hills is a hole in the ground; stairs lead down into a cave, where any visitor will be faced with something symbolic of a tragedy or trauma the character has suffered in their lives. |
| Ocean | 2/12/2011 | A city of stone, coral, and shells has sprouted beneath Wonderland's sea. Anyone who enters the water will find themselves turned into a merman or -maid, able to breath underwater and swim easily until he or she leaves the water again. |
| Forest | 7/1/2007 | The trees in the forest have become dark, twisted, and stunted. They secrete a curious fog across a ground of dust and sand. Unsteady desert sunlight pulses through the trees and strange animals that will attack if encountered roam. |

| Basement | 10/31/2009 | The walls of the basement are made of stone and the floor is buried under a layer of bones so thick it can't be seen. It's pitch black except around the stairway, where large blue crystals provide an ominous glow. Undead ghouls roam the honeycomb halls. Some carry large candles to light the way, but others are vicious and will attack if approached. |

The first floor and all of its normal rooms (minus the library) have become part of a castle. Near the grand entrance way, the Mansion is palatial, but as one wanders further it becomes more like the palace of a South American prince; even further and it becomes more primitive and less inviting. Empty rooms are clearly used for storage, all stacked with boxes and chests, which may have Boggarts in them. Open one and you'll be faced with your worst fear manifest, unless you can laugh it away. When entering the first floor, characters will automatically find themselves dressed in the nicest clothes of their world, culture, and era, and will address others by their full names and title, if applicable. |

The halls of the second floor are lined with the windowed classrooms and meeting rooms of a generic Japanese school building. Some rooms are clearly meant for clubs to meet in, and the mansion's entire library has now been squeezed into a one room high school library. |
| Third Floor | 9/28/2008 9/5/2010 10/4/2010 |
The massive hospital ward that was the third floor starts out clean, high-tech, and well-supplied, but the further one gets from the stairs the dingier and more run down the place gets. There are rust stains, holes in the walls and ceiling, springs poking out of the beds, and on and on. The lights flicker and there are used surgical tools, ripped records, and blood stains. Cries of pain can be heard in the distance, but no amount of searching will help one find the source. |
| Fourth Floor | 6/27/2008 | The fourth floor is flipped upside down. Doors are at least a foot above the floor with light fixtures dotting the "floor"; everything else is on the "ceiling". For anyone entering the floor (including their hair and clothes), gravity works normally. For everything else, gravity is now pulling upward. |
| Fifth Floor | 4/23/2007 7/17/2011 |
Everything on the fifth floor has become as gritty and hard boiled as anyone would expect from a good (or bad?) film noir, including having everything in grainy black and white. However, the further down the hall one goes, the less real things look. In fact, they look dinstinctly like old, black and white cartoons. |
| Sixth Floor | 12/11/2009 1/9/2011 |
Inexplicably, the sixth floor is part of a space station. Close to the Mansion's main stairs (where people entering and leaving the floor must pass through an airlock), rooms are small bunk-style apartments with antiseptic spray showers and portholes that show a view of a terrestrial planet outside. Further down the hallways, things get barer and starker until everything is completely white and smooth, with the feel of thick plastic or fiberglass. The view now shows a distant red planet against the stars. |
| Seventh Floor | 3/25/2008 8/15/2010 |
Everything on the seventh floor is falling apart, crumbling like an old ruin. The closets don't work, and plumbing and electricity are spotty at best. Not only that, but zombie-like monsters roam the floor and will attack if encountered. |
| Eighth Floor | 2/20/2007 | The entire eighth floor is iced over at subzero temperatures. Electricity, plumbing, everything is affected by the freeze. The closets still function, but it may be near impossible to get them open. |
| Ninth Floor | 8/19/2011 | The ninth floor has turned into a quirky office building, complete with pushy cleaning robots, meeting rooms and cubicles instead of bedrooms, break rooms with stale donuts, a cafeteria, and...a strange acidic substance leaking from the ceiling in places? |
| Tenth Floor | 4/24/2010 | The Mansion's roof and attic are gone, and the tenth floor has been replaced with the uppermost part of a giant tree. All walls, floors, and even most furniture is now made from the tree's limbs, branches, leaves and flowers. |
| All Floors | 1/25/2009 3/6/2009 10/3/2009 |
On all Mansion floors, items (both personal belongings and public use items such as furniture) will occasionally turn into butterflies and flutter away. Some water sources will only give clear alcohol, and there will be no way to tell which is being served without tasting or smelling it. |
| Exterior | 10/3/2009 | The Mansion's exterior is decorated with Soviet Russian flags, and sunflowers can be found growing all around its foundations. |

1 - Mansion deaths work the same way throughout this event?
2 - Can you clarify about what's happening on the Mirrorside during all this too? I think I understand what's going on, but I'm not sure.

yeah Aradia will continue not to give any fucks about anything, but I guess she'll hang out in the netherworld for awhile because ghosts. If anyone wants her for anything I'm totally down with it??

Beiste is okay with being fancy on the first floor for a while, so no problems there! She'll be sure to check everything out and make sure nobody gets stuck anywhere dangerous though.
Tara will wake up as T on the fourth floor and assume she is high. Things will get more serious when she doesn't stop being high, however.
George will leave the sixth floor ASAP. Not sure where she'll go after that.
John might actually. Go and check out the screams on the third floor. And worry that it's someone he cares about. ;;

Athos will indulge in The Ocean, because he is a diver and heck yeah merpeople and breathing underwater without a suit. He'll also probably visit Area 3, because it would remind him of home.
Dean will experience the horrors of The 3rd Floor hospital and The 7th Floor zombieland, mos def. And I should be nice to him, so one of those festivals might be lovely.
Evelyn will wander about The 4th Floor because finally, something Alice-in-Wonderland-y. She will also visit Areas 4 & 6, because the latter is similar to Egypt, and the former would remind her of the Great War when she was a little girl.
All three will be open to doing anything else, should anyone want them for something. c:

YOUSUKE will be in grounds 5, 8 and near the ocean, because I say so. In the mansion, he'll be on the 2nd, 5th and 10th floors. I expect him to be having shenangians with his P4 pals? However, he'll hit up anyone to hang with because he's needy like that. But he'll probbaly be staying around the safer floors/areas unless someone needs his help for something.

James will be exploring a little bit of everything, but expect him to spend a lot of time in Area 2, on the Quidditch pitch, trying to get people to come play. He'll also probably be nice enough to explain the Boggarts to people, one he hears they're there. Really, he'll be around all sorts of places, just trying to check everything out.
Kurt will probably enjoy his floor (First Floor) the most, being all formal and posh, but his goal here is going to be safety, so once h runs into a Boggart, he'll probably leave. He'll be avoiding the more dangerous places in favor of comfort, because he's a wuss.
Anyway, if anyone wants to do anything, let me know. :D

Redglare will leave the 6th floor as fast as possible, simply because space stations are for soldiers, not legislacerators. She will be walking around the basement making it somewhat safer and generally wandering in places with a lot of hostiles. Her glasses, at some point, will turn into butterflies.

Jonathan will be...panicking starting on the fourth floor where he has recently settled in. Sorry, new neighbors. You see, he really does like his material objects, so when they turn into butterflies or are upside down, he get a little concerned.
Other than that, he may end up in either Areas 3 or 7 in a failed attempt to find normalcy and a drink. Company is most certainly welcome!
