Hey, guys! [ Wearing a pretty sweet red and blue hoodie (his uniform, as it were), Jon raises a hand to give a wave to the feed with a sheepish smile on his lips. The angle of the camera shifts after a moment, showing a decent amount of computer hardware running behind him, though the screens are a bit too far away to make out what's on them. Sitting at one of them is some other tiny nerd. ]

Robin and I uh. . found some stuff, yeah. Since most've this stuff seems to belong to someone else, we wanted to see if anyone wanted their stuff back. . ?

[ Jon gets pushed aside because he is obviously doing this wrong. ] You’re forgetting that first we will need proof of ownership, Superboy. These items could hold someone’s very life at stake and can’t be handed off to some stranger.

[ The camera pans over to where some notes and a pill bottle with it’s label ripped off rest. A hamster scurries across the table and nibbles at the tip of a page for a moment before Jon reaches a hand out and picks it up. ]

Paper isn’t good for you, Hammy-Bruce. Anyway--if either of these’re yours, and--[ Mumbles to himself for a moment, under his breath. Something something, Robin’s real rude. ]--you can prove it’s yours, I’ll come run it to you?

His name isn’t “Hammy-Bruce” it’s “Bat-Hamster!” [ Robin is heard complaining in the background before the feed cuts off. ]

[Oh, you see this smirk slowly forming on Damian's face as he gives Jon an oh so smug side eye, that's covered by his mask but I'm pretty sure you can feel it Jon.]

[ Well, he did wonder about the get-ups they're donning, but he guessed there was probably some kinda party. Foreigners do shit like that, right? Those kinda ghost festival thing... Halloween? Or something. Anyway. Seems like they're insistent about it, so he'll roll with it. He remembers doing this too back when he's young, just not with a proper costume. Those surely look really well-made. ]

Right. Superboy. [ Sorry about that, kiddos. ] Eu... what? Uh. Not sure about that, but I know a nurse who probably can tell you stuff about what that drug is all about. Probably safer to have her hold on it, too. Whaddya think?

[Excuse me? These pills were left for him so they are to stay in his care until the proper owner is found. While drugs in the care of children is an understandable concern to him, Damian has never viewed himself as a child.

Maybe it was being the son of Batman... or maybe being raised by an eco terrorist cult bent on making him into a ruthless world leader not leaving much room for play. Either way, telling Damian to pass the task to an adult was a no go.]

The pills are safe where they are.

I have consulted with two nurses already. The pills are anticonvulsants. From their description of its uses, we could either be dealing with an individual on the razor's edge of a nervous breakdown due to their erratic mood swings. In which case you are all in danger... or someone without their seizure medication which puts them in dangers.

Do you happen to know of anyone with these conditions?

[ Basically... 'none of your business', huh? The kind of attitude Robin's sporting is strangely relatable to Mondo. ]

[ He'd be more annoyed if Robin wasn't a friend of Jon, and didn't look dependable. Thing is, that's hardly the case ー he seemed to know what he was doing, even already finding out what kind of pill they're holding on and its significance. Plus, with Jon on his side, Mondo probably had nothing to worry about in the first place. ]

[ However, this is pretty insightful for him. 'Being on the verge of breaking down due to sudden mood whiplash' sounds pretty close but not quite to what he had. If those can be controlled with pills, there should be one for his symptoms, too. Taking pills isn't the kind of method he'd like to take, but it's an option he can keep in mind. ]

Good on you guys for getting a hold of 'em. [ Nurses, he meant. ] Anythin' else I can help with? You're new here too, right?

Hm, yes Ms. Tsumiki is ...a little jumpy but she has been informative. [Well this time she was, the first time she just ...annoyed him, but so did most people when he first meets them. He had to give her credit for actually talking to him again.]

Seems the mystery continues.

[He said with an air of confidence! His a small fist balling near his chest. He is pumped! Damian enjoyed a challenge but catching himself showing ...emotions ew he cleared his throat and dropped his hands.]

Hm? Oh, I've been here approaching two months. [He was just doing the bat-kid thing for about a month. Silent observation from the shadows and gathering intel. Ya know.]

I'm no good at thinking, but seems like you and Joー Superboy's got it covered. [ It's a good sign if the boys like mystery solving. They might find out clues he wouldn't notice. ] So if you need any help strength-wise, y'can count on me. [ Ignorance is bliss? ]

There were zombies when I came. There was also that dream walking thing, that was educational. [He didn't sleep for 3 days, but that wasn't very new for him.]

I can do without the constant survalliance through the mirrors. Oh! And the Ogres. Those were fun.

You can say that. I did stay up for 3 days straight after all for a reason. [Damian shrugged and let it drop. The guy was around Kent most of the time anyway, so he doubted he was up to something nefarious anytime soon]

For three days straight?! Were you even alright? [ Mondo's eyes dilate at the screen, eyebrows furrowing in disbelief. ] ...So no one can see things in your head if you stay awake? [ That's why Robin did that, right? But what does he have in his head even, that he wanted to hide so much? The curiosity is there, but Mondo's not gonna ask him about it. He too, if possible, wanted to keep everyone from his head. ]

Yes, of course. I've done it for longer. I didn't even have to resort to the use of adrenaline shots this time. [Damian nodded. Of course, afterward, he slept for nearly 3 days and had Kent not checked on him to make him eat he might've starved... but well Bats prefer to keep their secrets secret.]

I'm a very private person. [He said sternly. Making it clear that asking was not an option.]

[ Mondo can only wonder what kind of live Robin used to live, with how adamantly he wants to keep his secrets, and how he even seems to be familiar with adrenaline shots. It rings an alarm bell within him. ]

That can't be good, though... You're gonna break your body when you're still so young.

It isn't ideal, but one must do what they can to survive and protect themselves. Even if what you must do isn't pretty. [Damian sounds too familiar with some of the awful things people might have to do to survive.]

Still, if this man was from the same world as the nervous nurse that he mentioned earlier, then perhaps his dilemma and hers were tied together.]

Though unsaid, Mondo really appreciates Robin's approach to this matter ー he can only express that with a firm nod. The more they talk, the less he feels like Robin's someone younger. He's way beyond his years. ]

Yeah, I guess so. We came from the same school, just different year, probably. But I've never actually met her before.

[ Well... In the first place, there was no way to meet anyone else from the school, when there were pretty much only him and the rest of his classmates there, and... of course, the Mastermind who locked them down in the school, too. ]

[She did mention this school and a battle Royale style game. The teen's outburst making more and more sense now. Damian’s classmates had been his cousins or other members of the league.

They were often forced to do horrible things and at times even kill one another to prove their worth. The scare he left across his cousin Mara’s face one of the first things to pop into his head when he thought of his...family. He clears his throat to force the train of thought to come to a halt.]

You-- [ Well, to be fair, Mondo would say the same thing himself if he was on Robin's position, so... He sighs, but with a smile on his face. ] Then fight hard. [ Robin might have left by the time he said that, but that doesn't matter ー Mondo's got a feeling the boy knows better.

Still, it's pretty concerning. He should keep an eye on them when he can. ]
