video;
Hey, guys! [ Wearing a pretty sweet red and blue hoodie (his uniform, as it were), Jon raises a hand to give a wave to the feed with a sheepish smile on his lips. The angle of the camera shifts after a moment, showing a decent amount of computer hardware running behind him, though the screens are a bit too far away to make out what's on them. Sitting at one of them is some other tiny nerd. ]
Robin and I uh. . found some stuff, yeah. Since most've this stuff seems to belong to someone else, we wanted to see if anyone wanted their stuff back. . ?
[ Jon gets pushed aside because he is obviously doing this wrong. ] You’re forgetting that first we will need proof of ownership, Superboy. These items could hold someone’s very life at stake and can’t be handed off to some stranger.
[ The camera pans over to where some notes and a pill bottle with it’s label ripped off rest. A hamster scurries across the table and nibbles at the tip of a page for a moment before Jon reaches a hand out and picks it up. ]
Paper isn’t good for you, Hammy-Bruce. Anyway--if either of these’re yours, and--[ Mumbles to himself for a moment, under his breath. Something something, Robin’s real rude. ]--you can prove it’s yours, I’ll come run it to you?
His name isn’t “Hammy-Bruce” it’s “Bat-Hamster!” [ Robin is heard complaining in the background before the feed cuts off. ]

He knew the cave was on the same floor as Drake but that was fast. He grunted at having two people just know where his cave is now. He takes the hamster from Kent and motions for the boy to answer the door.
The "cave" itself is still forming. There are hints of stalagmites forming on the ceiling and rock growing out of the walls making the room look more cave than just room. It wasn't expanded yet to the full length and depth of the cave but it's fairly big. Kent will have to fly up to open the door so Drake can slide down a seemingly misplaced fireman's pole into the room.
It's a bit tricky for Damian to get out, I mean you can risk that elevator he was still working on or just grapple gun out like he does. It's only been a few weeks okay?!]
action
Welcome to our secret base! ( it looks a lot more like damian's secret base, but--jon brought over some of his video game consoles, so there's a small corner that looks more like jon's than damian's. a small corner. because some people are rude and greedy and don't like to share. )
action
Wow, this is... Almost like home, actually. Probably not for you, [He gives Jon a quick grin] but I bet it's the next best thing for Damian, too.
action
[He yelled up at Jon as he set the hamster down in a large computer chair with a celery stick.]
It's coming along, yes, but there is still lots of work to be done.
action
( whatever. he has his nice giant tv, and consoles. jon makes his way over to his tiny corner, presses a switch on the side of the wall, and turns on--the sun lamp that's also right above his corner of the room. )
I also have this, I guess? I don't really mind. Outside the castle's pretty awesome!
action
Cool setup. I just played my PC games on the big computers, but that looks a lot more comfortable.
[He notes that Bruce-the Hamster is sitting in what would usually be Bruce-the-Human's chair. That's... absolutely correct.]
Anything I can help with?
action
[Damian grabs some blueprints and holds one up.] There will be a fully functional training base with heat seeking scanners. Bio detection. A chemical lab, a garage ...and a shelf for your games, Kent, so quit complaining.
[Hanging the blue print up, he turns when Drake ask to help. Well this was his project, but... it might’ve been more than he could chew. Glancing at the computer that was half built with some wires attached to a switch board. Green numbers of code flickering across the screen in patterns of zeros and ones.] Depends... are you any good at coding?
[His world's Drake was a coding and hacking genius. Was this Drake up to such a task?]
action
you know, since he's half sun-powered alien, sitting under a sunlamp. he leaves tim and damian to do their bat-things, because as resourceful as jon is, he's not a computer coder, and he's helped rebuild stables and farm houses but never some weird cave thing. if they need help, they can ask for it.
so he sits down in front of his tv under his lamp and boots up his gaming console. )
action
[He glances at the half-built computer, and he almost itches to start messing with it.]
What do you need?
action
He's-- [Damian looks like he's having trouble getting these words out.] the only one I can think of that could pull off something even close to Father's design. I can build it just fine, even do some base coding but need-- [Ugh, he can't say it. Can't bring himself to ask Drake for help. Not yet. Possibly not ever. He can't even look at the mini-Drake as he struggles.] an expert coder to come close to replicating Father's design.
Security, searches, filing, analysis, the works. Do you think you can manage? With my help of course. [You'd be clueless otherwise, just admit it!]
action
[Asking for help is hard, so Tim's going to give him a pass on how long it took him to get the words out.]
I think I can come up with something. I've studied Bruce's system enough that I should be able to build something similar, but flexible enough to adapt to future needs.
[He's starting to get really excited about this, actually. He's built his own system, of course, but it's a much smaller scale than the Cave system, because he does have access to the Cave at home, so there hasn't been any need yet.
He has so many ideas.]
action
Perfect because I hope to push this system further than the Bat-computer either of us knew, Drake.
[He motions for Drake to follow him, wanting him attached to a keyboard as soon as possible. It felt a little odd to see Drake alive and working on a computer again. He shook off that strange twist in his stomach that he got whenever he remembered his Drake is dead now.]
What was your favorite part of father's cave? I liked the dinosaur.
action
It's been due for an over haul for a while. Best to start from teh ground up anyway, right?
[He hums a little, as he follows Damian toward the beginning of the computer.]
Of course, my one true love will always be the computer, and I would never dream of being unfaithful, but.
I mean, it's a dinosaur. How can you not!
action
It is and I'm sure the computer will understand your infidelity. You think if we ask the closest for individual pieces we could build another one?
action
I think it would be an excellent exercise in recall, cooperation, engineering, and building something extremely cool.
action
I'll help!
action
[Damian blinks when Kent speaks up again. He quickly conceals his excitement with a cough. Well it wasn't computer coding or too delicate of a project...]
Sure, these parts might be pretty big. You can help with the heavy lifting.
action
Also, teaching is the best way to master your own skills, so we could show him how to assemble it.
action
[He shrugs and as much as he wanted to look over Drake's shoulder and question or pry at his coding method, he couldn't very well leave this project alone for Jon. He took a final glance at the screen before motioning for Jon to follow him to the closet.]
We'll start summoning the pieces. [He closed his eyes trying to picture the best part. The dinosaur head! Rows of razor sharp teeth and predatory eyes stared back at them when Damian opened the closest door.]
action
This is waay lighter than I thought it’d be. ( maybe that’s just the super strength talking. )
action
[Tim is still paying attention to what they're doing, and he's definitely ready to offer a hand if they want or need it, but the computers call to him, and for now, he sticks to his seat in front of them.]
action
You think the feet might be too big for the closet? Maybe I should do it a toe at a time...
[He looks to the closet and thinks for a moment that he was trying to summon a dinosaur toe from a closet... What is his life right now? The toe appears but it's a little off color from the head.]
...This dinosaur might need a paint job when we're done. [He gives Jon a small shrug when he returns.]
action
I can paint.
action
[He glances over again, grinning.]
How are you going to do the torso?
