Hey, guys! [ Wearing a pretty sweet red and blue hoodie (his uniform, as it were), Jon raises a hand to give a wave to the feed with a sheepish smile on his lips. The angle of the camera shifts after a moment, showing a decent amount of computer hardware running behind him, though the screens are a bit too far away to make out what's on them. Sitting at one of them is some other tiny nerd. ]
Robin and I uh. . found some stuff, yeah. Since most've this stuff seems to belong to someone else, we wanted to see if anyone wanted their stuff back. . ?
[ Jon gets pushed aside because he is obviously doing this wrong. ] You’re forgetting that first we will need proof of ownership, Superboy. These items could hold someone’s very life at stake and can’t be handed off to some stranger.
[ The camera pans over to where some notes and a pill bottle with it’s label ripped off rest. A hamster scurries across the table and nibbles at the tip of a page for a moment before Jon reaches a hand out and picks it up. ]
Paper isn’t good for you, Hammy-Bruce. Anyway--if either of these’re yours, and--[ Mumbles to himself for a moment, under his breath. Something something, Robin’s real rude. ]--you can prove it’s yours, I’ll come run it to you?
His name isn’t “Hammy-Bruce” it’s “Bat-Hamster!” [ Robin is heard complaining in the background before the feed cuts off. ]

Stop it! We don't know if anyone else here uses these or who this person even is. They won't even show us his face and that is suspicious!
action?? → text;
Yeah, but I'm going to hand them to him. And I'll know if he's lying! It's not like anyone here's gonna take me down or anything, so what's the big deal?
( he turns his eyes back to the device, and replies to tim's text-- )
I'll get it, no problem.
Where are you?
(S-shush you!) action
The big deal is you just assuming you're in charge of the item given to me just because you have powers doesn't mean you can just take them from me. I'm going with you.

kitchen
[He needed coffee to handle this headache.]

( which is. really the only message he needs to send, because it's only about four seconds later that jon shows up in his sweet superman uniform, with damian/robin under one arm and the pill bottle in the other. super speed really makes getting around a loot easier.
he puts damian down fast enough, shifts his weight until he's back up on his feet and hands him the pill bottle, too. since damian's the one who's picky and uptight about stuff like this. )
action;
[...except the kid is there too. The one with a level of paranoia that might (he's gonna say might, because it's hard to tell for sure) put Jay's own to shame. Not that he's willing to put that to the test.]
[He accepts it gratefully, twisting the cap off with a deft jerk of his wrist to check at the contents a bit more closely.]
...thank god.
action
Get off.
[He lands on his feet and straightens up before advancing on the stranger. He points a finger just inches from the man's nose.]
If your pills are so important then don't remove your name from the damn bottle. Why would you even do that?!
action
Don't be mean.
action
'Cause I didn't want people snooping, okay? [CAN YOU BLAME HIM.]
action
[Jon might not be pulling him back but his hand on his shoulder is like a hook holding him in place, so he can't advance. Damian slaps the back of it, shooing him away. Quit manhandling him. Still, he thinks over what the man is saying and does speak more calmly.]
Is someone looking to take your medicine then? Are you in some kind of trouble?
action
It's happened before, okay?
action
Does your medicine often go missing then?
action
[There isn't even doubt there, honestly. There's no other person it could be.]
action
What about a safe? Or some means of security...?
action
( he keeps that hand on damian's shoulder, tightens his grip a little and leans into whisper into his ear. but he's not whispering particularly quietly. )
Does it really matter? They're his. Leave him alone. If he was lying, I'd be able to tell, right? He doesn't sound like he's lying.
action
[He yanks the pills he's had to make do with from the closets, shaking the orange bottle firmly like some morbid maraca.]
Different stuff, same purpose. Now can I have my original prescription back, please?
action
I'm asking because I want to prevent this from happening again.
action
( if he can get his original stuff from the closet, then there's no need to worry about this happening again, right? )
action
I take it this is the case with your medicine. [He nudges the real pills towards him to show he believed him.]
action
[God. Finally.]
[He snatches the bottle back and crams it into his pocket, but there's no mistaking the relief that eases the lines on his face despite the cast of annoyance.]
...thanks.
[It's directed more at Jonathan than it is Robin over here, unsurprisingly.]
action
[Yeah, yeah, he's used to that.]
action
( it's because damian's a buttface, isn't it. jon's trying to teach him better, he swears. he just hasn't been very successful with it yet. )
action
[You know what? Given how many people he knows who excel at breaking codes, he doubts even that would really cut it.]
I don't think you understand how good some Mirrors are at cracking security.
action
Even down to our DNA? So a lock accessed by your DNA or your fingerprints wouldn't be successful?
Even if we were to damage one of the pads of your finger?
action
And they're usually watching us, so they'd probably know if someone tried to hide something by damaging a fingerprint or something.
