Hey, guys! [ Wearing a pretty sweet red and blue hoodie (his uniform, as it were), Jon raises a hand to give a wave to the feed with a sheepish smile on his lips. The angle of the camera shifts after a moment, showing a decent amount of computer hardware running behind him, though the screens are a bit too far away to make out what's on them. Sitting at one of them is some other tiny nerd. ]

Robin and I uh. . found some stuff, yeah. Since most've this stuff seems to belong to someone else, we wanted to see if anyone wanted their stuff back. . ?

[ Jon gets pushed aside because he is obviously doing this wrong. ] You’re forgetting that first we will need proof of ownership, Superboy. These items could hold someone’s very life at stake and can’t be handed off to some stranger.

[ The camera pans over to where some notes and a pill bottle with it’s label ripped off rest. A hamster scurries across the table and nibbles at the tip of a page for a moment before Jon reaches a hand out and picks it up. ]

Paper isn’t good for you, Hammy-Bruce. Anyway--if either of these’re yours, and--[ Mumbles to himself for a moment, under his breath. Something something, Robin’s real rude. ]--you can prove it’s yours, I’ll come run it to you?

His name isn’t “Hammy-Bruce” it’s “Bat-Hamster!” [ Robin is heard complaining in the background before the feed cuts off. ]

[Kay bites back a groan. While it should make it easier to get his notes back, he doesn't like the idea that some random kids know about Ally.]

[He points at the red tattoos under his eyes.]

( it's muttered quietly, behind damian as he speaks through the feed. )

[Damian rolled his eyes but brought the camera closer to look at the man's eyes before holding it for Kent's to look as well.]

[Kay keeps the camera steady as he waits for the kids to make their decision. He's sorry it made Jon cry, but it wasn't his decision to give his notes to the kid to read.]

Can I get them back now?

[And once he gets those notes back, he's getting a nice, secure safe for them. He figures it's going to take the kid a while to get to Kay, so he's not in a hurry to actually get to the hallway, though.]

( except it really doesn't take him long at all. he's in the hallway moments after disconnecting the video feed, a gust of wind following moments after him. he does wait for kay, papers in hand. he's not in a particular rush to get back or anything. )

Yeah, sorry. Um--we're not really the kinda people who go around telling everyone other people's stuff, so you don't have to worry about that.

( the notes are still in as good condition as when he found them--and jon's quick to hold them out to kay. ) Here.

[Kay quickly folds the papers in fourths. Placing them in a pocket on his vest he mutters,] That's an upside to you getting it.

[He feels a twinge of guilt, though, remembering how the other kid had said Jon cried.] Hey, uh...thanks. For getting these back to me.

[Not quite what he'd meant to say, but it isn't like Kay knows what to do with normal kids.]

Yeah, of course! ( he's all smiles now, at least. even if his eyes are still a little puffy. )

They seemed really important--and it's definitely not my place to keep something like that from the person it belongs to.

[Kay grins and ruffles Jon's hair. He likes you, kiddo.]
