Well chocolate is kind of traditional. But now that I think about it, with all the candy around already, maybe something else would be better.

Fine fine. I was trying to find a good gift at the vendors and I found a puppy. So I traded for it.
But then I thought not everyone would want a pet, so I traded the puppy for something else that might be cooler and didn't involve a full time commitment.

That's true. didn't think of it... Maybe some nice clothes? A scarf? Mittens?

What'd'you trade for the puppy in the first place? That's a tall order for the vendors from what I've heard.

A scarf might be nice. Though you don't know her favorite color, do you?

I got lucky and got a few cool things from the closet. Put together, they scored me a puppy.

She was wearing a blue... ascot, thing, and a necklace with a bird on it.

Huh. I just met someone who wanted a dog, I'll let her know about that.

Blue might be a good guess, then. Or black or white, those are kind of universal.

The closets give out dogs, too, but sometimes you end up with a bunch of them or with kinds you didn't want.

Black or white... Okay. Good enough place to start.

Yeah. Or a monster dog. Or something else... I don't trust these closets anyways.

Especially not now. You'd probably get something made of cookies that could still bark.

Okay, that's horrifying. Would it dissolve if it fell in a puddle of milk?

That might be the only way to stop it.

I've never been desperate enough to eat dog in my life, but if a dog's made of cookies you might not have a choice.

But then if someone asks you if you've ever eaten a dog, you'd have to say yes.

In my world it wouldn't be the worst thing to admit, but I think I'd get some angry looks here.

Yeah, people tend to really like dogs. I get that, though. They definitely act a lot more intelligent than cows and pigs. Although I've heard that pigs are actually pretty smart.

Most domesticated animals are. We had some diary cows we took turns taking care of back when we were cadets. They understood how things worked. You couldn't trick them into anything, and they were pretty hard to spook too.

Not to mention the horses. They knew Titans didn't care about them, so they weren't afraid of them at all. That takes some serious smarts. And courage.

I've never been around those kinds of animals. Except for the time in the Vortex World, I've lived in a big city my whole life.

We've got horses here you know. They're really well trained and have good temperaments. You should try riding one. I do sometimes to help me chill out.

Yeah, I know we have them. I haven't really been to see them though.

You should at least check them out. I'm not one of those people that are horse-crazy, but they're still pretty interesting.

I dunno! You definitely shouldn't be, when you can fire explosions out of your hands! And your skin's so thick, you could probably take a buck straight to the face and not even lose a tooth!

I wasn't always this strong.

Yeah, and then you ate that gross snail thing and you got strong, so you should act like it. You being afraid of a horse is like a Titan being afraid of a horse.

I told you I'm not scared of horses.
