He isn't conscious. But accusations of witchcraft, the fear of it, and complete faith in religion are very, very strong in the 18th century. Without his express consent, I can't do it to him.

[ Even if he is so far open-minded that he believed her, everything she told him. She won't do it. Because she knows even awake, he'll refuse it unless she begs. ]
