+ eway patch v1.2 +
You read me. v1.2.
There are two major issues that I need to lay down for you all. Because I know quite a few people are guilty of this (people from the past and people now) but recently it's becoming more of a problem and it needs to be fixed.
Despite popular habit, your characters do NOT and WILL NOT conciously know they are leaving the mansion if you drop them. Having characters leave freely is against the plot of the RP and I'm ashamed of myself for letting this go on for so long. There are already those who have had people 'go home' and I'm not going to ask you to change what's already been done because that wouldn't be fair.
But it can not happen again. If it does, a mod will make a post to said journal and that will be a warning that you're already breaking this rule and that it needs to be changed A.S.A.P. People who wish to have their characters 'go home' have to discuss it with a mod; otherwise your character is stuck here and you'll have to come up with another reason why your character is inactive.
On the second topic -- Character Inactivity
This is also becoming a problem. When an activity check comes around (and it doesn't come around very often), it is not an excuse for you to post once and then never post again until the next activity check. It's one thing to have logs going up constantly, but if there is absolutely no activity even on that front it's considered character squatting.
Multifandom RPG's are very dependent on making journal posts, and commenting to multiple people and making logs; everyone here knows this. But doing nothing but making one journal entry to make sure you don't lose your character but still being on more than one activity check in a row will not be tolerated anymore.
I hate to pressure people -- RP's should be fun and at your own pace! -- and again, I'm not going to count it to this activity check that will be ending on the 11th but if I see characters that are on this activity check on the next one, that character will be booted from the RP and up for grabs from anyone who is willing to app for it. No exceptions. Hiatus' and keeping your character activity publicly visible will keep your character off the activty check, so at least try to do that.
In case you don't feel like digging through the flist to find the post, here is the inactivity list.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave one here on this post or contact a mod through AIM if you don't feel comfortable speaking out in public.
