A festive and slightly backdated season to all!
[ Buckingham has taken a holiday on the other side of the mirrors and remained there for most of the event, including its eventual end. Sometime between the 23rd and 26th he does however make a brief return to, amongst other things, distribute gifts amongst his dearly beloved friends, enemies and past, present and/or future bed partners.
All of the gifts are finely wrapped and contain holiday greetings as well as some personalised messages in elaborate handwriting, signed elegantly by George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham. ]
• Miss Lass is already aware of her thoughtful gift.
• An event-inspired gift for Lady Carnahan, its message urging Evelyn that he has missed their conversations and is looking forward to having them again.
• A helpful book for Chell, addressed to "the mute girl". The message reads: "Perhaps we might revise what you have learned soon."
• An equally helpful volume for Athos, along with a message wishing him the best of luck for his next attempt.
• An elegant gift basket for Athos and Aramis, filled with the finest bread, cheese and wine, complete with cups of a familiar design. The message simply reads: "À votre santé!". Unlike the duke's other presents this one is not signed by name.
• "How good are you on horseback?" is attached to a rather modest gift for one Master Kralie.
• A ruby ring and matching pieces for the ears for Miss Lopez. The card sweetly states that they cannot possibly compare to her beauty, but perhaps they shall compliment it.
• Master Hummel's card says something about a matching set, which will make more sense once he unwraps his pointy gift.
• This beauty, along with nine more masks for Jack. "Variety is the spice of life!" after all.
• This hat for The Once-ler. The card simply inquires if his business is doing well.

In return she leaves Buckingham a book to continue furthering his education on aeronautics and futuristic travel devices, along with a note that says she would be more than happy to spend some time with him again, it has been far too long since their last meeting.]
video;
I was wondering if you would care to... impress me with your skills on your new board this evening, My Lady.
video;
Well.
Not really. But she does hate to see people all bandaged up, and he could probably milk his wound for all it's worth in a manner that rivals Draco Malfoy.]
Lord Buckingham!
[New and old faces alike lately, so it seems. Evie is more than happy to greet him with a smile simply out of habit.]
I...am not previously engaged, so I don't think that's out of the cards.
[Philip won't mind. Probably.]
Should I dress for dinner as well, or is it simply a night of gaming?
video;
Shall we say dinner at six? The tea room on the tenth floor, if that... is convenient for you?
video -> action
[Cribbage board in tow. Perhaps then she can find some way to inquire about Lord Buckingham's relations to the musketeers that Wonderland has acquired in such abundance of late.
At precisely six o'clock (because punctuality is important) Miss Carnahan will be found opening the door to the tenth floor tea room, decked in appropriate formal evening attire for someone of her time. She would have liked to have tried getting into that massive dress Buckingham gave her as a gift about a year back, but she couldn't find anyone to help her put it on in time.]
...hello?
action~
My Lady!
[ Having stood ready inside the tea room Buckingham approaches swiftly to take Lady Carnahan's hand... ]
Might I say you look utterly stunning today?
[ ...and places a kiss on it. ]
action~
Oh! Oh, thank you, I-
[...will just hold still briefly while he executes his usual courtly greeting.]
I was worried I might have worn something too fine. And you! You look very dashing, sir.
[The fashion of her time suits him astonishingly well.]

[ Buckingham slowly turns around in a circle once, for proper inspection of the entire ensemble. ]
-do your time an injustice, but I... simply had to take the risk. With so many years--
[ He chuckles and shakes his head. ]
What am I saying? So many centuries at your disposal it would be a travesty not... to explore.
no subject
Well-
[She laughs graciously. And yes, even as a young lady already spoken for, it does not mean she can't admire the male form when packaged as something outside of a physicist.]
-I certainly appreciate the effort. Those of us not from 'the future' have to stick together, after all.

[ He steps past Evelyn and pulls out a chair for her. Naturally it would suit him better if a servant were present to see to such tasks for him, but under the circumstances he'll play the part. ]
Do have a seat! I hope the arrangement... is to your liking.
[ Pork, roasted in oranges, lemons and wine. Prepared by magical mansion hands and placed on a table finely set by the duke himself; a stunning table arrangement of fruits and candles and other things, amongst which a fine bottle of wine stands out beautifully.
Well, he did say he would play the part and so, naturally, his performance is expected to yield nothing less than perfection. ]

You...certainly know how to host a dinner,
[she admits, stepping in to take a seat and allowing the duke to push her chair forward. Evie harbours no illusions regarding Buckingham's cooking expertise, however, she's sure that he has fairly cultured taste.]
You didn't have to go to so much trouble...

My Lady, at home I would have servants bedight the entire estate for your visit, this... is the least I could do.
[ Buckingham reaches for the bottle of wine and tilts it towards Evelyn's cup. ]
May I?

[ Because that is still a thing Buckingham is far from done with. ]

[It's not that exciting.]

[ Buckingham more than understands the burden of a truly magnificent face, but clearly he has chosen to expose his stunning visage to the world as often as possible, for the joy of all mankind. ]
buckingham's going to be so disappointed if he ever sees jack's face

This gift is unexpected. But maybe, on reflection, it shouldn't have been.
While we're putting things delicately: phwoar]Merry Christmas. [ He calls up to say it, with a refreshing lack of his usual dourness. Hell, he's almost at the baseline level of cheer for a normal human being! ]
video;
[ Buckingham responds with his very own baseline of cheer, aka. a preposterous amount that may very well be lethal to other human beings. ]
You've received my gift, I hope? It did not... get lost in the corridors?
