+ THE QUIET SEA, PART ONE +
So really, what was up with that ominous-sounding event? Are your characters going to wake up beheaded? Are all the bathrooms going to suddenly disappear?
Fortunately, thanks to a little intervention on a certain memory witch's part, all that's going to be averted. ♥ Instead, the Mansion's residents can enjoy a little ♥fun♥and a chance to make some money.
On the morning of June 1st, characters will wake up to warm sunshine through their window and a strange sense of... lightness, almost, in the air. What could this feeling possibly be?! ...Well, the start of summer vacation, for one!
Until midnight on June 4th, the ground floor of the Mansion will be transformed into what essentially amounts to being a large town square, complete with the obligatory clock tower overlooking it (and looking quite out of place, we might add) and a raised concrete platform in the middle.
For the duration of this event, that main foyer will be open-air; the Mansion's front doors appear to have disappeared, as well as most of its front wall, while corridors where characters reside appear to have been transformed into miniature residential districts, with each room becoming a small 'house'. Characters can still access the upper floors, since the stairs remain in place.
But who would want to stay inside on a lovely day like this? ♥ There's something unusual about all that sunshine... It induces a strange, relaxing atmosphere over the whole place. No matter how hard anyone tries, they just can't be outright nasty to anyone else. The sea is bright, lovely, and just inviting you in.
There's quite a lot to do in this little town, though, especially since it appears the vendors have moved in for the time being! Characters can skate around on boards just conveniently lying around, for fun, but if your character's been running low on funds, this may be the chance to earn some! Some of the vendors that have moved inside will be hiring; characters can help out by putting up posters around town, moving some cargo, cleaning up some trash and delivering letters.
If you're a performing type, you could think about putting on a show for the bystanders, as well-- but if you'd rather go head-to-head with a friend, a Struggle Match may be just what you need.
(This page has a much more detailed explanation of each Twilight Town mini-game and what it entails, while this page explains Struggle better than I ever could.)
TL;DR: FOR FOUR DAYS, THE MANSION IS A HAPPY PLACE WITH HAPPY PEOPLE.
'BUT WAIT, KYTHA', your fluttering, wounded hearts cry, 'what was the whole point of that event announcement, then?! Were our characters being depress for no good reason at all?!'
Well, that's why this post is titled part one, darlings. :B Kufawfawfaw. Stay tuned, because we'll have more exciting developments to come. ♥
