--4 [video/action, backdate to day 1 lol] Talk You Up To Calm You Down

[Remember, all those weeks ago, when a horrible shriek echoed through Wonderland? It's here again, but closer - inside the former mansion. With you. <3

It starts from a room on the first floor, with banging and crashing and general sounds of destruction. The enraged screaming does stop, but the thumping and crashing doesn't - it just moves into the hallway, and further into the school.

It eventually stops in the gymnasium. Not the sounds - but whatever's making them seems to have settled there for the time being.

Some video either helpfully provided by terminals, security cameras, or her own communicator (pitched carelessly to the side, sitting amongst some smaller and less interesting debris) shows a gangly, diving-suit-clad figure throwing fireballs at the walls and windows, as well as pieces of gym equipment, from volleyballs to basketball nets - and not all of them with her hands. Some of them fly through the air physically unaided, only to smash or bounce or crush against the walls and barred windows.

She screams again, and jumps out of sight of the camera, but the noises of destruction are still audible. Especially if you're by the gym.]

[It seems like that didn't work either when suddenly there's a whole mess of broken fragments and pieces being launched at him. This time, Wash just covers his face with an arm and sort of turns and curls to the side as the debris comes flying at him, too much to really dodge. And now he's really glad that he's continued to just wear his armor around the mansion despite not seeming to really need it all that much, because when some of it hits him, he knows it would have been damn painful if he hadn't been protected.

He stays as he is for a few seconds after everything hits, whether it hit him, the ground, or the walls behind him, but soon he's peeking over his arm when nothing else happens. It looks like she' stopped. She's stopped and...recognized him, he's pretty sure. When she snaps up to stand straight, he's certain of it, leading him to release a breath he hadn't realized he's been holding onto.

It's almost comical, in a way, when the mess of things she's got up in the air is hidden behind her - or moved in an attempt to hide it, at least. In another situation, it would be funny, but in this one he's too concerned to really focus on it.]

Finally. I thought you were going to throw the basketball net at me next. [It's not really a joke, because this was an honest worry, but it comes out kind of sounding like one.

Waving a little, Wash then takes a couple of tentative steps forward, watching her carefully for a few moments. She does seem to have snapped out of it, at least for the time being, but he's still ready to move quickly just in case.]

You, uh. You have a little something right there. [Nodding to the volleyball on her spear, he almost sort of manages a bit of a smile.] ...Are you okay, though? I mean, obviously not really, because I don't think any of this [an absent gesture to the rest of the gym] is the work of anyone who's doing so well, but... You're not hurt, or anything?

[His eyes follow the volleyball as it flies off her spear, but eventually, they're drawn back to her in order to watch her curiously. And with a fair amount of concern. At least she looks friendly again, if not a little...confused. Or startled? It's hard to tell, but once he gets that nod, Wash relaxes, relieved to hear that. Even if the gym around them is pretty far from being okay, and that's all thanks to her. But he's seen people do worse while angry, so he's ready to let it go and just focus on her.]

Oh, good-- [He starts, but stops as she steps forward a little and raises her hand. Blinking, he just watches her for a few moments, now a touch confused himself, but with the way her head is tilted, he can't help but wonder if she's asking him a question in return. Perhaps the same one he'd just asked of her? With that realization (or guess), he snaps up and stands a little straighter.]

I'm okay too, don't worry. Just a little... Surprised is a word for it, I guess. I didn't exactly expect to see you smashing everything in sight, much less to start throwing stuff at me. [...Shit, no, he shouldn't have worded it like that, he doesn't want to make her feel bad (or worse?) about it!] I mean-- Uh. You just startled me is all, but I'm fine. Not hurt or anything. And now I'm just glad that you're not hurt, too.

[Also that she's calm, but you know. That seems like something better left unsaid.]

[Sinking into a slight, albeit slightly awkward smile, Wash just releases a quiet, relieved breath when she appears relaxed and not offended by his wording. For a few moments, he lets silence hang over them, and he just watches her stand there, looking almost...sheepish? It's tempting to reassure her that it's okay, all that matters is she didn't hurt anyone, but when suddenly she's pointing back at something, he completely forgets about it.]

What?

[He can't help but ask, even if at this point he knows she can't speak. Brow furrowing, his gaze follows to where she's pointing, and just stares at it for a few moments. ...What was she pointing at? All he sees is a mess...]

I don't-- [That's when he realizes. Blinking, he stares at the wall. The totally unharmed wall. With everything she'd been tossing at it, and the weight of some of it, there should be some damage, but it looks perfectly intact.]

...What the hell? [Casting a quick glance at her, Wash steps forward, moving toward the wall to inspect it more closely, because there has to be something! Except the closer he gets, the more normal it seems to appear. And when he steps over some of the debris to put a hand against it, it really doesn't feel reinforced enough to not have taken some amount of damage.] Okay, this whole thing is officially getting even weirder. You definitely should have punched a hole in this with everything you were throwing against it.
