[Have Lindsey wonderland. He looks more then a little tired, someone was up late reading.]
When did you realize your tolerance for the unusual and strange was maxed out?
Also... I feel like there needs to be serious re-organization of the welcoming committee. Including but not limited to updating that pamphlet, making it readily available, and a census maybe? something so that we know who's here?
[If pressed, he'd explain that between Will Graham and the worries of everything else and everyone else, it would be a nice idea. Never mind that it could always fall into wrong hands.
Would fall into wrong hands.]
...I guess I'll take charge of that, but I could use some help...from people who've been here longer.
[Private Message to Jesse.]
....You're a good guy man. Will you let me buy you a drink or something? nobody...should have to listen to me complaining.
[Action; open to anyone/abby]
[It's a day or so after his post and Lindsey is drunk. Very drunk, sitting on the steps somewhere in the castle with his guitar. Occasionally he strums a few notes but he's not really playing anything. He's just sort of staring at the ceiling.
No tears. No emotion.]

Re: [Action]
[She opens the door, letting him into the room, decorated much like the others. She hadn't had time to put her own personal style into anything.]
What is your name?
Re: [Action]
[His hand slides up his chest, to tug at his collar. Then drops.] Lindsey. I'm Lindsey.
You are?
Re: [Action]
[She poured him a glass of wine, handing it to him with a charming smile.]
It doesn't have to be the story of your life. You could have a better life than that.
Re: [Action]
As what, a famous country singer? [cue light laughter, music, then genuine interest in her. Darla taught him well.] If we're talking about beauty, I'm afraid I'm outshone by you fair lady.
Re: [Action]
Perhaps. I certainly am accustomed to granting such gifts.
[She smirks, sitting closer to him.]
What sweet words. Almost as sweet as your music. If you are not careful, you might break my heart.
[Action]
He suddenly feels pity for them both. He drowns it with wine before looking back at her. They eat pity for breakfast, he's suddenly sorry he was drunk. This would require him staying on his toes.
All the same, it's not fair to her. Perhaps at one point she, like Darla wasn't the Lilith. even if she is who I think she is.
Sliding closer he nudges her shoulder against hers, a playful gesture before giving her his whole attention.]
Never. Not to someone as ... [his hand hovers, almost like he wants to cup her cheek or run his fingers through her hair before he lowers his gaze] ...Not to someone like you. Not to anyone. I've had my heart broken, and I don't intend to repeat the process. [Until I can learn to do it as well as you could, as well as Darla could.]
I like being given things, but I'm more interested in what I could give you first.
Re: [Action]
Lilith smiles as his hand comes closer, near to touching her. She places her fingers over his, brushing their digits together.]
Beyond the sweet words you give me and the private concert?
Re: [Action]
[Cue sincerity. Cue realism. Perhaps if he'd offered that to Darla she wouldn't have left him. He squeezed her fingers, sweat running down her forehead]
Re: [Action]
Fun. Pleasure. Amusing company and a project to focus on again.
[She shrugged lightly. Certainly nothing that would be hard to fulfill.]
The question is, what do you want. I would rather like to grant you something.
Re: [Action]
Because the things I really want I need time to plan and I'd rather have a partner in crime rather then make someone just give it to me.
[He knows how you demons work] Say... a partner in crime. [The alcohol filters in and his head swims] as it were. If needed. An ally.
Re: [Action]
It was rare for her to be pleasantly surprised, but she was now.]
You and I are of one mind then. I find myself in a precarious place surrounded by my enemies and others who are...angry at me. I need allies, friends.
[She walked two fingers up his arm slowly]
You are familiar with my kind, it seems. What sort of man is so...knowledgeable and worldly?
Re: [Action]
But he'll let that slide and lean into her touch.]
I used to work for three of them. [there's a long pause] I guess I still work for them. Six figure salary and a benefit package for lawyering for the darkest of the dark.
...who's angry at you? Are they here?
Re: [Action]
Three? Impressive. That is why you don't fear what I am.
[Her eyes turned white]
Oh yes, they are here. Angels, hunters, other demons. It's a rather ruthless business we have
Re: [Action]
Well. Hm.
Demons willing to work with people. This could be more then useful. This is a friendship to be cultivated, to be needed. Wolfram and Hart were opposing, distant bosses. The senior partners were...well...
The one time he was ushered into his presence it was terrifying. This is terrifying too but if he were to go home with this woman's help...
Can you feel his smile curl like a cat? His soul slip into a little closer to the ledge?]
...Oh no, I fear you. [He lowers his gaze, respectful.] That doesn't mean I wouldn't worship you if given half the chance.
...Angels, hunters, and other demons. Guess I gotta be careful.
[Action]
Worship? And what sort of chance do you need?
[He is skilled at this dance, at the pulling in and charming. Normally only other demons were capable of this. She was impressed to find a mortal who could do it well.]
They won't harm you. Having power tends to mean gaining enemies...even amongst your own.
Re: [Action]
...I wouldn't say no to power. It seems like we might have something in common over that.
[Action]
My power is in question in some regards. There is new ruler about and I can either challenge him or allow him to take over. But then again, power isn't always what others see. It's behind the scenes. And I believe lawyers know how to wield it.
Re: [Action]
[He lowers his gaze and then smiles] You want to take the new ruler of hell to court?
[Action]
[She chuckles] No nothing so extreme. Better to let him look after everything. He wants it bad enough, he can manage through the enemies and the logistics of keeping power. Meanwhile, I am going to, as you say, gather allies and protectors. Whatever plans I come up with after that need time to be considered and plotted perfectly.
Re: [Action]
His chest hurts as he looks away.] A lot in common. So let's make a deal, let's be ... allies as it were. While we're here. We can help each other. And if I think of something else...
[Action]
Allies....partners perhaps? Though...[she meets his eyes] a deal with me takes a bit more than a word of agreement. To make it binding, it means that I must seal it in a particular way.
Re: [Action]
...Seal it how?
[Action]
Re: [Action]
People crossed his mind, Abby, Will, Jesse - the complete opposite of what he should do was go to bed with this woman, but it wasn't like he was selling his soul - again.
Oh hell no.
He slides forward, unbuttoning his shirt - but there's a slight trembling in his fingers that he can't control]
...Pretty sure we never covered this in law school. You'll have to go slow. [he smirks] Then faster.
And feel free to bite.
[Action]
Now there was Lindsey, a man full of potential and eagerness. She would make him hers and mold him into the greatest force this world had ever seen.
She slipped out of her dress, stretching out more fully on the bed. Perhaps it was that he reminded her of Sam, of what Sam could have been. It didn't matter. Lindsey would be greater still.]
Consider it one of the perks of dealing with the first of my kind. [Oh yes, she liked him] I did promise to bring a smile to your face tonight.
