Hey guys! Who wants to play Detective?

As Dormouse just announced via a terrible Dormouse-y Film Noir monologue, we're having a Film Noir event! Everyone gets to be detectives and femme fatales, and gangsters and any other sort of character that fits into that film genre, and everyone gets their own little monologues.

As usual, this is the plot post! People can post what roles their characters will fit into and come up with mysteries to be solved, and crimes to be committed and so on. Not to get you sucked into TV Tropes, but their pages on it are super helpful. Just make sure you don't steal from/maim/kill anyone without their permission. And deaths count as mansion deaths!

And of course, the first thread will be devoted to a Q&A, and we'll get back to your questions ASAP! ♥

I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with Kurt, but I know I want to blatantly rip off Peter Lorre's character Joel Cairo in The Maltese Falcon. He'll be a client, hiring a PI to look for something valuable, and money will be no object. ♥

James Potter is going to be a detective, because good needs to triumph over evil and so on. He'll get a kick out of solving mysteries and bringing criminals to justice. Maybe he'll have a cool name too, like The Golden Snitch. :T

Yukino...was a tough call, but I think I'm going to go with Femme Fatale, so that I don't have two detectives. She'd make a perfectly fine detective, but what can I say? She does love tricking people and using her charms to get her way. ♥

Why, in fact he even started out as Clarence, ruthless mobster extraordinaire, until ~something~ made him quit his promising crime career. And by quit I mean 'fake his own death, get plastic surgery and assume the identity of Philip LaFresque, inconspicuous and completely harmless owner of a bookstore, fake accent included'.

I'd love to have somebody from his past on his trail, be it a former fellow or rival gang member or a detective who doesn't believe in Clarence's convenient death and is still looking to get him for his crimes. Let me know if you'd like to plot something along those lines!

So she's going to be the femme fatale... a good girl with a dark side. She's on the side of the police, perhaps a secretary or something... but she is hopelessly in love with a real bad guy, Wesker, who manufactures and distributes drugs. Whatever shall she do? Well, she'll work for the good guys mostly, but work twice as hard to cover Wesker's ass and keep him out of trouble. Oh detectives, please do suss her out as Wesker's accomplice.
