"Man, is all this talk about a Mirror uprising actually going to get anywhere?"

Yes, dear RPers. It is. Right now. ♥


Our favorite new Rabbit just made a post, inviting Real Things to join him on a trip through the Rabbit Hole so that they can help the Mirrors overthrow the Queen. However there will need to be some co-ordination.

This is not an event where Mirrors and Real Things can be on the same side at once. This means that any Real Thing who chooses to go through the Rabbit Hole will be swapped with their Mirror. Only one version of each character is allowed on each side of the glass at a time. There will need to be some organization of who goes and tries to capture/get rid of the Queen, and who stays on Real Side. Keep in mind that there will be important things to do on Real Side too. There will probably be characters who opt to go through the Rabbit Hole whose Mirrors are not really fond of this whole revolution thing. Those Mirrors will get stuck on Real Side, but it’s a lot easier for them to escape – they can go through the mirrors as they please. Or they might just, you know, wreak havoc so more people don’t decide to go through the Rabbit Hole. You might want some people on Real Side trying to keep things under control.

(On both a semi-related and unrelated note, the FAQ has been updated and Kristen made it a lot prettier, so a lot of the Mirror physics stuff can be found there, but we’ll be happy to answer anything if needed!)

If your character is on Mirror Side you post in the Mirror Community. If your character is on Real Side they post in the Real Character’s Journal. Just mark it clearly somehow that it’s their Mirror making the post and you’ll be fine. From there you can comment with whatever journal you want. If you haven’t added the Mirror Community journal, don’t worry – just join and someone will approve you ASAP.

Is there a plan though? …Sort of? We’re not silly enough to think that we’ll be able to organize everyone into one group and plan one plan of attack – it’s more likely going to be a bunch of smaller groups with their own strategies. There are two important points though:

1) All of this swapping should be a good distraction that wouldn’t normally go unnoticed. Crossing is usually something the Queen monitors carefully, so it should certainly get her attention. In other words, once the Real Things cross, there’s no real way to hide what’s going on from the Queen. The Revolution begins now. Of course, there are other ways to distract the Queen and lure her out too – like blowing things up, making a scene, etc etc.
2) In other to overthrow her, you’ll need to find her. For reasons unknown, the Queen will not be in her quarters, and there will be a post up soon illustrating this. Every so often, on both Mirror Side and Real Side, one might catch a glimpse of red – just a blur out of the corner of their eye. In addition to dealing with finding the Queen, everyone will have to deal with anyone who is opposed to the revolution, or any fence-sitters who decide they don’t want anyone finding her.

Finally, a note about death. Death rules have more to do with where you are than what you are. Anyone who dies on Real Side is treated with the five deaths rule (and will revive accordingly), and anyone who dies on Mirror Side is treated as though it’s death #5. They won’t revive during the event if they are on Mirror Side. However, they will come back at the end for reasons we can’t talk about, so feel free to get as brutal as you want on Mirror Side this time!


As usual, there will be a Q&A thread, and this post will be treated as a plot post, for anyone who isn’t sure where their characters will be or what they’ll be up to. Have fun, and watch out early next week (Sunday/Monday) for what happens next!

a.) Is the Queen's chamber post just for information or can we comment on there if our characters would like to spraypaint the walls, leave flowers or otherwise pay a visit?

b.) Let's say we were playing a physicist who is prone to stealing body parts from other people, would we be allowed to take Alice's eyes or is there some measure preventing that and/or will they be used plottingly in a way that makes such course of action a bad idea?

At any one time it'll be impossible to tell which side they're going to be on and for how long, because M!John finds this way of screwing with his real hilarious. John'll be pretty pissed off but since he's him and all...Well, anyway, they might be pretty out of commission here.

George: George is a little anxious here-- she's heard a little of what's going on and predicts a lot of bloodshed. She's kind of worried that might mean she has to reap people, and for the sake of her own sanity (since she broke Rube's rule about fraternizing with the living) she's probably going to hide out on the real side as much as possible.

Since give_u_sunburn has more or less been running the rebellion show on the mirrorside, kyokugen_sun is going to do the smart thing for once in his life and stay on the real side. He'll just hang out with whatever people are left over there and do whatever. His Mirror will be causing some major property damage and, I hope, fighting mirror!Zuko to the death? (If he has to cross over to do this, I will be happy to have him do so. >:3c)

hurricanebomber hasn't decided what he wants to do, but it really makes no difference because bombing4therapy's not going to let him stay on the mirrorside even if he does cross over.

So yeah, Santana really cares less about the rebellion and more about GETTING HER DAMN BRACELET BACK FROM THE QUEEN. I mean, she's all for the potential goodness to come from overthrowing her or whatever, but...she really wants that bracelet back, since the replacement (and the necklace) vanished when she got canon updated.

Jade will definitely be going to the mirror side to help with the rebellion. Actually, she most likely will be hopping back and forth between the mirror and real side depending on where she is needed. Good thing M!Jade doesn't really care about where she is or what she is doing so she'll go along with the whole switching back and forth thing.

panatipata is going to stick around for the rebellion, but I don't know yet what he'll do. Besides going in and stealing stuff like his sword back from the Queen. Fighting works, healing too for anyone who gets stuck in the crossfire.

The Lambs
+ Dr Lamb knows from experience that it's best to lay low during all sorts of rebellions, so she will stay at the clinic and monitor things. If she finds herself on the other side she'll have a tentative look around and try not to get killed too much.
+ Crazyfia IS LOOKING FOR THE QUEEN WHO WOULD LOOK SO PRETTY ON FIRE. Everyone who protests is fair game for BBQing. Everyone else is too, but let's not go into details just yet. She'll mainly be on the mirror side, unless she has reason to look for the Queen elsewhere.

The Bhambas
+ Mirror Bhamba might try to reason with the all to violent revolutionaries, but for the most part he will mope somewhere, sad that things are playing out this way.
+ Bhamba in turn has a bomb left from wooing Ivanova and would like to hand it over to the Queen because he misses Jack and he's fed up with this place.
!! I'd love to have him transport the thing into the Queen's quarters and detonate it there, if I can find a few people to help him... and try to stop him as well.

The Philips
...the Philip will probably cross over and look around and the Phil will probably not move a muscle on either side unless prompted otherwise (although I might have Mirror Clarence look around a bit). I don't have grand plans for either of them yet, so any and all input is welcome!

Mirror!Akihiko is one of those guys who's on the fence about this. I think he'll be offering to do non-confrontational things (maybe act as a messenger or light healing), but only for a price which I have not decided upon. Because, LOL, he doesn't want to establish an official friendship with anyone because, to him, friendship = friend dies.

I have no idea what to do with Nepeta. I haven't established her mirror canon yet. She will probably follow mirrors around curiously? If you want Nepeta to annoy your chara, lemme know.

While not actively trying to balls up any revolution plans, he doesn't care at all about them going down successfully and will fight anyone on either side of the rebellion who gets in his way. M!Hibari has no idea what is going on anyway and will just derp around on the real side.

do_ur_research too will be crossing over. It's just... too much of an intellectual curiosity not to go down the rabbit hole. Winchester doesn't think that Smith can handle anything remotely resembling a fight, and Smith agrees. For the sake of helping a good-lookin' brotha out, Dean is going to the mirrorside to kick ass, take names, et cetera.

Smith will go to the realside and...do...something. Be miserable about the fact that he's better at planning than taking violent action. HE'LL DESIGN AN EPIC BANNER FOR THE REBELS BECAUSE HIS TEA TAXES ARE TOO HIGH.

The Evelyns

Regular Evie will stay on the Realside, because despite her curiosity about the Rabbit and the Hole he's beckoning people into, she's gotten a bit smarter about not barging into things when she doesn't know what's on the other side.

Mirrorlyn, in the meanwhile, will voraciously defend the Queen unless circumstances change, in which case she'll switch teams and put on a less-fashionable jersey.

Umm... Nai (and I suppose mirror!Nai) I have no idea but he will probably be staying on their own sides. Yeah.

M!Conan will most likely be staying on the mirror side, doing his best to defend the Queen. Most likely attacking anyone that he seems to find on the rebellion side. (then again he's just a kid....)

POLAND needs to be told something is happening, but since Liet is gone (for now), you bet your ass he'll go after the Queen if given the chance.

M!POL is not turning against the Queen, ever. She's all he has left besides M!Liet, and he will fight for her. He'll stay on the mirrorside if he can, but if Poland makes him cross, he'll probably just snap and start fucking things up at random. He's not well.

THE MEDICINE SELLER thinks the Queen is a Mononoke, so, yeah, going after her.
