Kate is now Beth Maximoff, born into one of Storybrooke's richer families. She has a younger brother, Will, who's her best friend in the world despite the year difference in their age. They grew up close with Derek and, about two years ago, the two finally started dating. Now? It's at that whole gross mushy true love/soulmate thing stage Billy and Teddy tend to be horribly known for back home.

She hates the idea of leaving her brother out of the loop though, so when not working for Darcy at her Community Advocacy office (because dropping out of college to do charity work seemed the way to go), she's setting Will up on double dates with her and Derek. Parents aren't pleased with her choices but Beth really doesn't care all that much. Most of the time, anyway. She lives with her boyfriend and brother in a small apartment as they try to strike out independence away from their parents. So what if it doesn't exactly have the best acoustics?
