[Toby looks annoyed, though this isn’t all that unusual for her. She doesn’t look Fae, at least. Her illusions are firmly up, magic dulling the points of her ears and filling in the color of her eyes until she looks like a normal human, though a cranky one.]

This is not what I had hoped to wake up to, you know. Being abducted into a storybook has this way of just ruining my day.

[She looks around, tugging her brown leather jacket closer around her. She’s not lost and confused, but she's certainly not happy.]

Anyone have any information about what’s going on here? Besides the obvious. I’ve figured out it’s Wonderland, I just want to know if I should worry about being forced to play croquet with a flamingo. I’ve never even played normal croquet. I don't think I'm up to the task of wrestling birds into it.

[She allows a bit of a smile, though she still mostly looks like she wants to punch all of Wonderland in the face.]

Seriously, anything you've got would be great. Just trying to figure things out.

Tybalt has no issues being manhandled for once, clinging a little to Toby as they kiss. Honestly, he knew as soon as she asked if he was sure that it was really Toby as only Toby would ask first. Having her here hurts, but at the same time? He's been so damn alone here.

At some point he ends up pinning her against the wall, breaking away only when he steps on a shard of glass]

It's you.

If that was all I had to do to get you to realize it, I should've tried it sooner.

[She tries unsuccessfully to bite back a smile and looks up at him. It's still a bad situation. But it's one they'll get through together. She curls her arms around his neck, leaning against the wall. She wishes she could just lose herself in him. Ignore the problems rising all around them in favor of kisses and more. But she doesn't have that luxury.]

They turned you human.

[Even just seeing him in his human disguise feels wrong, to her, though she's seen it enough to be used to it. Tybalt is just so... not human.]

[Tybalt is careful to kick the glass away from Toby; when he's done that, he just sort of...slumps against her, which is a sign of just how much he's missed her and how tired of it all he really is.]

Mhm. Twice, and once as a teenager.

[She's happy to hold him close curling her arms around his shoulders and tangling a hand in his hair.]

I wish I could say I didn't know what that's like.

[At least the Luidaeg hadn't turned her human when she'd sent her to Blind Michael, but being a kid again still hadn't been fun.]

At least you remembered being fifty. I didn't. I went to high school, October, and I had no idea I shouldn't've.

[She shouldn't laugh at him, she knows, but the image of Tybalt going to high school is hilarious enough that she has to bite back a grin.]

It is a rite of passage. Quentin survived it.

[Tybalt nips at her neck in retaliation for that almost-grin]

It is not. I never went to high school. Sylvester never went to high school. Raj isn't going to high school, or if he is I don't know about it.

[Toby didn't get a chance to go to high school either. But unlike Tybalt, she kind of regrets it. Then again, she doesn't regret it enough to wish she were a teenager again. She shakes her head, cupping Tybalt's head in her hand. She's still smiling a little bit, but she admits:] I'm glad you're not a teenager now. That'd be too weird.

I looked about the same, you know. I'm a bit taller, more muscular, more scarred but really, I haven't changed all that much since then.

[Excuse him while he just sort of nuzzles closer. He really, really missed her.]

Immortals generally don't. [She rolls her eyes a little, running her knuckles along his arm. It's stranger for her, since she... didn't miss him. She would, of course, if it had been any time at all, but she'd been with him literally seconds before coming here. She didn't have time to start missing him, and it's so strange to have half a dramatic reunion.] Do you want to show me around? [She pulls back, weaving her illusions again to dull her ears and return her eyes to a more mortal color.] I'm going to need to know the lay of the land.

Is there anyway I could convince you to wait? Just a few hours?

[Tybalt gives her a Look that's a mix between desperation and eagerness. He's been lonely, Toby.]

[Her look, on the other hand, is pure crankiness.]

Right, because nothing puts me in the mood more than sudden dimensional displacement. Come on, Tybalt. I need to know where I’m standing.

[He just sighs a little]

I'm going slightly crazy here.

[His apology]

Or perhaps more than slightly. Where do you want to start?

Maybe the mansion? [She tucks her hand around his arm, looking up at it.] That seems to be where most of the action is....

That's where all the action in--including the coffee.

[That gets her to to actually turn and look at him for a moment, then she glances away. She hasn't been drinking as much coffee as usual lately. The goblin fruit addiction had made her no longer care about it temporarily, and when she'd gotten off goblin fruit... well, she hadn't really felt like getting back on her old addiction. She'd really felt like not depending on any chemicals ever again.

But she still likes coffee, and that conversation is a long one that she doesn't know if she's ready for, particularly because of the rather big question Tybalt doesn't know he's asked her. It's important, but she can't let herself focus on it. Not yet.]

Sounds great. [She smiles at him and starts towards the mansion.]
