[video forever] Somethin' ain't right...
[The video starts up with an image of one of the battered barricades, then turns to show Beiste's vaguely confused expression.]
So...that's still around. And I got a stack of rifles in my room, 'cause the closets don't seem to be back to normal either.
Does this feel weird to anyone? All that action and then nothing's happening but the stuff's still here? Almost like it didn't shut off all the way or somethin'.
Anybody notice anything else weird? I hear folks've got their powers back, so at least if those things show up again we're a little better off than before. Still feels off, though.

...It's still weird, thinking this place has thoughts and stuff. Even after all this time.

Helps that this place is so, uh, eventful.

Do things that show up during events usually disappear after everything's through?
Usually. Sometimes stuff sticks around, but that's usually only if we sorta want it to? But even that's not all that common.

So is it bad, that things are still around? Did something go wrong, somewhere?

[Although as she says that, it sounds really silly.]

What kinda place are you from? Were you at war or something?
[Because, uh. Lima, Ohio doesn't need fortifications.]

It's just that some events have us up against things in here, y'know? So maybe being locked in isn't any better.
no subject
Maybe, but it's usually easier to get out of barricades than to get in.

Man, I sure hope those titan-guys are gone for good.
no subject
Hopefully they are.

[Okay maybe that's not helpful.]

[And it was trauma, he wasn't going to pretend otherwise.]
But losing the hairtrigger response helps.

There's folks you can talk to. I dunno about that Hannibal guy, but I think someone else was offering therapy or somethin'. Might be worth it.
no subject
Maybe. On the other hand, paranoia and hairtrigger reflexes is a survival trait these days. Things get weird enough round here.

Here's hoping it's not sticking around to prepare us for a second wave.
[Or permanent titan attacks.]
[Permanent titan attacks. Does not compute.]

...Wonder if Wonderland didn't give us anything like that 'cause it figured most of us wouldn't make it through that anyway.

Sorry, I don't think I've caught your name.

[ BIG, big hassle. 80-foot hassle, if she needs to reiterate. ]
Cordelia. Cordelia Chase.

As scary as this is-- and don't get me wrong, it is scary as an oak chair playing with lightbulbs --it does seem like we got folks here who can handle it. Sort of an odd one out, as events go, so I'm kinda liking it.

[ She didn't really remind Cordelia of her cheerleading coach, but she could definitely see the whole P.E. teacher vibe. ]
Do these "events" usually involve crazed monsters? Because I heard there was one stomping around right before I showed up.
no subject
[Does Cordelia think she's lying?]
And, uh. Occasionally. It's based on who's here, though. We don't have many events that come out of nothing. Usually someone'll recognize it and tell us what to expect. Or, as much as they know we should expect.
