[Greg's first thought upon seeing just how BIG the mansion is is that he can totally get all the way to the top. Even without an elevator! Or taking breaks!

And he's mostly right. He only has to take about seven. Wait. Eight. Wait. Nine breaks! And then he isn't even just on the top floor, he's on the ROOF.

The ROOF.]

Benjamin Shmenjamin would be so excited if he were here.

[singloversing]

[Wirt is not often on the roof, which means that when he spots Greg it's because he happens to catch sight from the grounds of someone on the roof wearing a kettle on their head, and his stomach drops down to his feet. That is really high up.]

O-Oh my gosh. Greg?!

[Wait, no. Shouting from the ground is bad. So, he runs inside, taking the stairs two at a time until he's all the way up at top...at which point he has to stop and lean against the door and breathe. Wow, he's out of shape, or at least not cut out for running up ten flights of stairs.]

Gr-- [BREATHE.] Greg! What are you...why are you up here?!

[Couldn't he have turned up like, on the ground floor or something?]

[Greg is leaning over the top of a fence running around the roof's edge. And he's spitting at the ground, so it takes him a moment to wipe his mouth on his sleeve and turn back to Wirt.]

Wirt! It takes so long to hit the ground!

[singloversing]

[Yeah, this isn't happening. Wirt marches right over to Greg, picks him up, and plops him a couple feet away from the fence.]

Yeah, that's...that's because we're up really high, Greg. This really, really isn't a good place to play.

[It honestly might be one of the worst possible places to play, actually.]

[ Beatrice wasn't really expecting to see Greg around Wonderland, so she's surprised to see him up on the roof of all places. ]

Greg? Looks like you made it back here, huh?

[Greg waves at Beatrice and almost ALMOST almost loses his balance but he doesn't.]

Hello! I haven't been here before!

[So he can't be back!]

[Amethyst figures he must be new, when she sees him running past her up to the roof. There aren't that many kids that young and especially not many who would wear kettles on their head, so she follows him, figuring he might need some help.

She comes up to the roof behind him.]

[Greg turns around from peering over the edge of the roof, then. And then he immediately looks very worried.]

Are you cold?! Maybe you should go back inside!
